Did Everton HAVE to go in hard on Arsenal players? No they didn't so they can't really complain about our antics.

AHB,
As an Arsenal fan I'm concerned that every time there is a hard tackle, it seems like it is the Arsenal player who goes to ground in a writhing heap? Is this part of the Wenger game theatrics, or a training/game preparation issue, or are we just signing players who do not adapt well to the British style of football(soccer)?

With regard to the game, it was probably a fair result. Everton does have several physically well built players......are you listening Arsene??

Care to explain that one??

Care to explain the referee not calling a third of your fouls? we even had LFC and MUFC fans coming on our thread saying how disgusting it was.

Thoughts on Anichebe crying to the lino and ruining the beautiful game?

So if the ref`s decision isn't the yard stick on what's acceptable the players take over his job. I am awaiting the game were because arsenal don't get the decisions they want, that the pick the ball up and walk home crying because the ref is picking on them

Pathetic really, ruins the beautiful game.

I question that you even know what the beautiful game is all about?

i remember when arsenal had a team of winners and they lauded over viera winterburn adams and dixon who all loved to get stuck in, now they have a team of fairies who win NOTHING and all of a sudden you can't tackle them, you have to chuckle

I love a poster who uses irony to lighten the mood.

Play acting should be punished retrospectively, only way to eradicate it. Certain teams take the pi$$, because their players are up their own arses.

Agreed on Vic, he does let him self down at times and personally I find it very annoying and wish he would stop it

Dirty dirty Arsenal, not only a team that fouls as much as a big physical dirty team out to injure their players but also think its ok to play act to get opponents sent off.

Your team is the lowest of the low.If we can't get 4th I'll be cheering on Spurs

I remember when Everton had a team of winners, when their players went out to win the game rather than foul their way to a draw.

I forgive any of you for not remembering this, it was two and a half decades ago.

tackle? Yes. Tackle all you want.

Foul? no. fouling is just for the dirty and the desperate who have no other way to play football as they have 0 qulaity on their team. disgusting really. im ashamed to say i used to live 100m away from goodison.

did you happen to count how many fouls the ref missed? or is it only a foul when the referee deems it so?

Yes it's only a foul if the ref gives it, otherwise it's an opinion

Everton fans really need to take a look around them. O'Neill has been fired, Pulis is on the brink, Hughes is long-gone. And in their stead we're seeing teams like Southampton, Wigan and Swansea arrive into the epl.

The physical approach to the beautiful game is being eroded thankfully all the time. Your hardman stance is fast becoming an antiquated aspect of the game here. You need to learn to embrace the change and stop revelling in this bygone neanderthal style.

Are you actually kidding? so if a player kicks someone, out of sight of any official, so they dont call anything, it isnt a foul, it is just a opinion?

Ramsey has seen plenty of opinions that the ref missed

To be fair, I didn't really have too much of an issue with the way Everton played. I thought their players were a bit lucky to escape warnings in the first half with some of the mistimed challenges, but they know how to mix their football up. They passed the ball around fairly well and weren't afraid to put long balls into the box and be a little more direct, plus their pressing and organisation was good too for most of the game.

What I did have a problem with was their lack of ambition in the final 20 minutes and blatant time wasting tactics. It truly was pathetic and it is the reason why Everton will never be a consistent European side if their manager tells them to settle for a point in games when there is still plenty of time left to go for a win.

There were at least 20 fouls/cards by Arsenal the ref could have given that went unpunished.

You do know simulation aka cheating is against the rules and is a yellow card offence and a red card offence inside the box
