I agree Webbo, seeing as he highly reccomended him to us, I think he should provide that same "privilege" to United!

Plank!

I know Utd arent exactly experienced of this situation as theyve had himself for 27 years but keeping Fergie around in the corridors is madness. I'm sure being the selfish egomaniac he is he cant very well go to sitting at home under the wives feet but allowing him to practically pick the next manager and stay around as a Director is asking for trouble. Que a gradual United decline under this set up with nodding dog Moyes and Fergie practially his Director of Football. Clean sweep with Mourinho is surely what United fans want, also i reckon Mourinho's nomadic ways are now over as he's done all the main leagues and wants to live in England to school his kids!

all of them?

He's said that before, why how many kids has he? He also was attracted to United by the longevity Fergie was allowed but baldy no mark Bobby Charlton has slagged him off before and stated that he has too much baggage for the United job so all the reports are saying him and Fergie are picking the next manager so cant see it being anyone but Moyes!

Haven't a clue Len. Was a joke.

Moyes has spent around £10-15m on transfers each season. Fellani is an exception as some years he barely spent at all. I remember Porto spending upwards of £30m in one season. It was a great achievement to win the CL but that was an odd year where they beat Monaco in the final and most of the big sides went out early so it wasn't that remarkable.

So because we beat Hamburg and Malmo in finals it wasnt that remarkable?

Porto played Madrid Man Utd Marseille and Lyon to win that. Yes moyes may have spent less but his achievements are not even close.

Joses teams are the top points scorers in England Spain and Portugal. He's won the champions league with two clubs. Theres no comparison

I take my hat off to you, sutton. Your honesty does you enormous credit.

I suspect that the surprise announcement of Fergie's retirement is so that Man U can move quickly on Mourinho before he goes to Chelsea and becomes unavailable for a number of years.
It is also not impossible that Mourinho has been bigging up the connection with Chelsea to provoke such a move.

We beat the best that Europe could through at us.... You could say that the league in 1972 and 74? was it was not as good as it is today.

But YOU still had to win it to be top dogs.

Vidal = obsessed with trying to finda reason why we were so successful and his Derby team wasn't.

The reason we were so good was that we had your ex manager. I saw us play Ajax, Liverpool, Cologne and Barcelona (Super Cup). Four of the best in Europe at the time. Just because the finals were Malmo and Hamburg (who were a good team) doesn't mean it was a mickey mouse cup. You are just jealous that you only made the semi finals

Glad to see you still care about our past though and how it bites and grinds into your skin that we were top of our game.

Two stars on me shirt and Derby are still without one

Yes that's just what I said

You're right, there's no comparison and that's my point. Moyes hasn't had the chance to mamage a team with lots of money and Mourinho hasn't managed a poor team. Every team he has managed has been the richest in that league. His achievements are amazing but it doesn't take away from Moyes' achievements.

Aah, calm down Webbo, you're getting as furious as sutton.

Incidentally, I noticed Man City have three stars on their shirt, for their three League titles. I honestly don't know whether any other teams routinely have stars on their shirts. I would have thought that when playing domestically it makes more sense to celebrate the League titles in this way, in which case we would have two, and Forest one of course, one to be proud of. When you're next in the Champions League you can flourish your two stars, as its the nearest thing we have to the old knockout Cup that there used to be, and when we are next in it, we won't have any.

Vidal - surely if we're playing in the Championship then we should have stars for the number of times we have won that league. Going by your point what relevance do our league titles have to us when playing in the league below? And also I'm not sure there would be room to fit all the stars on the shirts of Utd and Liverpool's shirts.

I guess. I think it's all a bit daft really. I blame Webbo for bringing it up. DO Forest have two stars on their shirts, by the way? I don't actually know.
