To try to dismiss this atrocity as the action of nutters and deny the religious connotations is ridiculous. Equally ridiculous are the politicians who claim that this incident has no connection to UK foreign policy. Its impossible to solve a problem if you won't acknowledge the root causes.
My deepest sympathy goes out to the family of the victim. I cannot begin to imagine the impact that the loss of a beloved son/husband in such barbaric circumstances would have.

They haven't got the planes or the tanks to do so, it would be a slaughter. The only way they can fight this war with any hope of winning is through terrorism.
