Game Plan:
This is a huge game for us and one we want to win, we know its going to be tough but we'll go out there fully committed and give our all to get the result. We want to make this game very scrappy with lots of stoppages and really disrupt the tempo and stop Chelsea being able to build any sort of rhythm which will frustrate the crowd, when the SB crowd are frustrated that becomes very apparent and will get to the Chelsea players no doubt. The plan is to defend in 2 banks of 4 with Mata dropping back also as a spare man to cover any spaces, we don't move out of position we stay in our area forcing Chelsea to play from side to side and backwards, not giving them chances to cut us open. When we have the chance we make a tackle and we'll be very physical with them, we want to disrupt their rhythm and if that means giving away cheap free kicks in midfield so be it. On the ball we look to attack with swift counter attacks, committing players forward when we get the ball and using our pace and incisive passing to breach the Chelsea back 4. To relieve pressure on ourselves defensively we are more than happy to invite the challenges and take the free kicks they give away, which will become more and more frequent as they get more frustrated. Simply put, we frustrate the opposition and then get forward in clinical fashion.

Tactics:
Courtois must command his area, he'll come out to collect any crosses he can, taking them confidently and relieving pressure on the defence whilst allowing us again to slow things down and keep in shape. He is quick off his line and must be ready at the slight chance a Chelsea player does break free on goal. When he has the ball if there is a chance to break he uses his excellent distribution to launch the counter.

Defending with the flat back 4 in a deep line means the defence must stay in line and not leave spaces or stray away from each other, leaving the chance of a through ball to catch us out. The FBs will keep in line and cover the spaces that the Chelsea wingers try to us and force them to have to do all their work running down the line, not allowing them any chance to cut inside. Both FBs will look to face up to the winger as soon as the ball is moving towards them and stop them from being able to get space to run into, showing them down the line and stopping them from delivering a dangerous cross. They must track the movement of the winger if it is into our area, don't allow them to get space in the box at all. Offensively they are to join the attacks when they can, getting up the flank and providing the wide option to stretch Chelsea out as we get forward, either linking with the Wingers to put the cross in, or allowing the wingers to move inside and drag the FB with them. Marcelo also has the option to make his runs infield which he'll do frequently, we want him to make runs into the area which will take a player out of the game and free space for one of our attackers, whilst he can also use his trickery and pace on the wing or through the middle to create chances.

We have two CBs who are excellent at reading the game, when one steps out of the line to deal with a ball forward or the movement of the striker the other stays in position ready to back things up and clear a loose ball or stop a player breaking through the line of defence. Other than when this happens they are staying very rigid, not changing shape and not leaving gaps. Keep in the line and defend together, being physical with the striker and not allowing him space to play, forcing him to drop into the midfield to get the ball, whilst the other is ready for the second ball or the movement of the midfielders looking to break forward. We will force them to play side to side so we can keep our position and simply clear any forward ball with ease. If they do break the line, both CBs have a fantastic recovery pace and tackle to stop the player breaking forward or to at least pressure them into poor final product.

In the CM positions we have enough energy to last us all day. Matuidi and Ramires along with the two wide players drop to form the first bank of 4 that must face up to the Chelsea midfield. We want the 4 to be rigid like our defensive unit and to just force the Chelsea player to go from side to side, stepping in to make a challenge when the opportunity is right, disrupting their player and looking to get us forward on the counter. Matuidi and Ramires work as a unit, one plays slightly deeper to cover space between midfield and defence, watching for the midfielder attempting to get into this space and making things happen, they'll get tight to them and hound them into mistakes, using their energy and power to never give them a moment to use the ball, this is only time they move from position defensively and it is a key job. The other one is slightly further up but by metres nothing more, they are forcing the opposition from side to side, pressing them when they get into their area of the field and disruption the passing rhythm. Offensively both have a fantastic burst of pace and a drive to push is forward, when one wins the ball that's exactly what he does, while the other stays back in position. If its Matuidi driving forward he pushes the opposition back and then uses his excellent passing to open them up, when its Ramires he drives right at the heart of the defence, if they stand off him he goes and goes until the pass or shot is on, if they come out to him, draw the challenge win the free kick and disrupt the tempo. He can also play clever one twos on these attacks, using his pace as a clinical weapon to get in behind the defence and finish in his usual cool manner.

Asamoah and Lamela will drop back to make it a bank of 4, both are strong defensively, especially Asamoah and will stay in the wide positions of the 4 to deal with the FBs and any movement of the midfielders. They look to stop the players moving to support the wingers getting space and force then backwards or into the middle where it's going to be extremely crowded and impossible to move the ball forwards. Whilst Lamela will do this mostly with just his presence and willingness to work for the team, Asamoah will use his pace and energy to stop Chelsea, particularly these two have to stop Baines and Lahm from getting any joy, even tracking right back into our own penalty box to stop them having free runs if necessary. These two though are key to our counter attacks. We see Baines as the main weakness to target in the opposition, he can quite easily be undone by a bit of pace and trickery and when we get forward Lamela will look to get a run at him whenever possible, beating him to get all the space in behind him and use that to create chances, getting crosses in or pulling the ball back to the edge of the area. When the attack is down the left we want Lamela making the run to the back post to attack any crosses, he will easily have the beating of Baines in the air, if Baines even bothers to track these runs. Asamoah on the other side always seems to find space and he'll look to really stretch things by sticking wide, he can attract Lahm to him and use this as a foil to get Marcelo into space infield and similarly Marcelo can make decoy runs to allow Asamoah the freedom. He puts a cross in or uses his pace to get into the box and make things happen from there.

Mata is the one who we look to link the defensive side of our game and the offensive. As we commit numbers forward on the counter attack he will be at the centre, the one picking the right pass to create the chance. He can move wide and deeper to make things happen, linking with the wingers to get them into space or playing a long ball over the top for the pace of the CMs or the striker and wingers, whoever is making the run. He can get close to Cavani to give him some support and work off each other with intricate passing and clever movement. We want him to put his mark on the game and open Chelsea up like not many others can. He has his defensive duties too, he can drop in alongside the CMs and cover space so te Chelsea midfield have no room to work in.

Cavani has a big job today, he must occupy the two Chelsea CBs but we believe that he can do this. He'll use his strength to hold the ball up and relieve pressure on the rest of the team, getting the ball under control and battling the CBs, drawing fouls high up the field to give us dangerous free kicks. When he has support he brings others into play around him and then uses his movement to find space to attack the penalty area. When he has nothing in support he can work the wings and force the CBs out in positions they aren't comfortable, using his pace and power to get at them and of course his wonderful shooting ability to try his luck from all angles and distances when the chance opens up. Attack crosses and provide the finishing target for the counter attacks.

Offensive set pieces:
With us hoping to get plenty of free kicks and even corners we see this as our way to get goals, particularly with how effective Cahill can be from these situations. We have Cahill, Dante, Lamela, Cavani, Asamoah in the box, with Ramires waiting on the edge to pick any loose ball up and the remaining three in position to stop a counter. Mata takes, aiming it for Cahill who will win the ball and either head towards goal or look to get a flick on with the other players there to get the final touch. We want Lamela making a decoy run towards the front post to attract the attention of defenders and take players away from the 3 taller ones, with Asamoah just looking to react to anything he can.

Subs:

If Winning: Beñat for Mata 75', he provides better defensive cover whilst having the passing ability to carve the opposition wide open. Parker for Matuidi 80', he gets in the faces of players, he's always 110% committed, Chelsea's midfield will get no time from him. Kalas for Lamela 85' Piszczek goes RM, Kalas RB.

If Drawing: De Bruyne for Asamoah 70', he can get some fantastic balls into the box and his runs between FB and Cb are bound to cause a few difficulties. Villa for Lamela 80', has excellent movement, can beat his man and score goals. Into extra time as players tire we look to replace Mata with Hernandez in the mid point of the first half of extra time. He knows the route to goal, the game is likely to be more stretched and with the two up front we have the players to get the goal. When we have to defend we do so in a 4-3-3, De Bruyne central, Hernandez and Villa wide.

If Losing: Villa for Asamoah 70', bigger goal threat, great movement to support Cavani. Beñat for Matuidi 75', fresh legs in the middle, knows where the runs are and how to find them. Hernandez on for Piszczek 2-2-4-2. At this point we need to be the ones putting all the pressure on, we have two lines of defensive cover with the Ramires-Beñat line also keeping us on the attack. Marcelo is wide on the left, Lamela on the right, Villa and Mata are central and working together with plenty of movement to cause havoc with the front 2. If we get our goal and it goes into extra time we will defend with a back 4, Ramires goes RB, he's done this before against the best teams in the world he knows what to do. Beñat, Mata, Lamela, Villa will flood the midfield and just use their great work rates to stop Chelsea whilst cutting them apart on the attack.

If Penalties:

1. Juan Mata
2. David Villa
3. Marcelo
4. Beñat
5. Cavani
6. Hernandez
7. De Bruyne
8. Lamela
9. Ramires
10. Cahill
11. Dante

If not on the pitch move to the next taker.

----------------Baumann--------------
Rhijn----Chedjou----Subotic----Indi
-----------Khedira----Veratti---------
J.Navas---------Mkhit--------Aguero
-----------------Benteke---------------

Trapp, Lahm, Jones, Sissoko, Lucas, Neymar, Lukaku

A good opportunity to keep the pace on Arsenal with QPR next, a few players rested after our replay and a chance fror some fringe players to impress, new signing Marco verratti starts whilst young Brazilian Lucas Moura starts from the bench..

Baumann has proven to be a top understudy to the injured Neuer, the young confident keeper will dominate the area and come out for all high balls clearing what he cant punch. Look to close down strikers by quickly coming off his line to shut down there shooting angles.

A back four with Dutch Internationals Rhijn and Indi coming in at fullback, both solid players who defend their lines very well, keep the wingers quiet, keep them to the outside and away from our danger area. Attack when you can one at a time, support yhe wingers by going on the outside and look for a pass so you can get beyond the fullback and cross in, Or if in possession look to pick out Aguero or Navas and ping the ball down the line for them to latch onto.
First and foremost, Chedjou has the responsibility to mark striker into anonymity. This he does exceptionally well, using foresight that borders on the prophetic to intercept. He rarely has to make a rash tackle, so watch the lads movwement and be ready to move in. When the ball comes towards a striker and Chedjou is in the area to defend, Subotic moves into position to back up his teammate and fill in any gap that is left. If an opposing attacker makes a run in the centre, reacting to a ball played towards the striker Chedjou is covering, Subotic shifts to defend against a potential pass.
If the striker gets away from Chedjou it's the responsibility of Subotic to shift and defend directly. Both comfortable with ball at feet so move the ball out when in no danger, otherwise clear it with no messing about.

Khedira leads the team out today and a proud day for him, he will lead by example in his defensive role. He watches the AM of QPR, most likely Kaka, so a player hwe knows well, watch his movement and be there quick to stop him setting up attacks, break the play up between him and Torres etc to nulify there attacking threat. Always on his toes as Kaka still has the class of old at times so we cant afford to let him dictate play. Verratti comes in alongside, the young playmaker will look to stamp his authority on this game early, a chance to shine with Vidal waiting to come back after his rest. Has great vision for such a young player so will want to get his passing range in early to set the likes of Mkhitaryan, Aguero and Benteke up for many chances, he will always follow his pass and make himself available for a return ball. Can shoot from range so have a go. When they have sit alongside Khedira and help him break up their attacks.

Mkhitaryan is in the free role, his attacking prowess is fantastic, will make late runs into the box and has tremendous vision. His inventiveness with his little flicks & dribbling skills are super too, but the best part is he knows where the net is. So will look to support Benteke as much as possible, Also use Navas and Aguero for one twos to break the line of defence. Aguero is on the lfet, a position he has played before, will look to drive at the fb, causing him all sorts of problems, cut in off his left and shoot with his right, or lay off to Mkhit for Aguero to dart into the box for the return. Otherwise look to take on the fullback get to the bye line and cross in for Benteke in the box. Navas will use his pace to get him passed his marker, knock it forward and use the forward momentum to get by the player and cross in, will do this all day long so Benteke will thrive of this. At times Aguero and Navas will be supported by our fullbacks so use them, either play it wide for them o r allow them to take the markers away to free up space to drive into. I want all 3 attacking mids to track back and stopp the QPR fullbacks and DMS getting forward and becoming a nuisance.

Big Bad Benteke will love it today, 'should' get plenty of service from those around him so use his power to get in and onto the crosses coming in or balls through the middle. has beaten the biggest defenders for powers so will shrug off his marker like he isnt there to get into dangerous positions to go for goal. If he cant and is well marked at times, then look to knock down or lay off to those coming in supporting. Always the target for corners and freekicks as more than most he will win anything in the air..

----------------Mignolet
Anyukov---Wollscheid--Ogbonna--Antonini
---------Lucho------Arteta
Hulk-----------Kaka---------Gabby
----------------Robinho

Subs – Malafeev, Mexes, Alex, Henriksen (For Arteta 80), Allen, Torres (for Gabby 75, swap with Robinho, play as striker), Rondon

Game Plan – Today i have decide to play a 4-6-0 because I want us to learn how to keep the ball better. I believe by using this formation we’ll be able to control the midfield battle. As a result we should be more creative. We should keep the ball on the ground and try and play in a direct style. I want our play to be free-flowing however we should try and keep contained on the ball.

Mignolet should stop the ball going in the net. That is his job. Commanding the defence also.

Anyukov should play as a wing back. This means when we have the ball he should play as a supporting role to our wingers and midfielders. He must go up to add to the pressure against their defence. He should stay out wide to create a crossing option and he will try and drill the ball into the centre. I want him to bring the other defenders towards him in order to open up space for Hulk to take advantage of. While defending Anyukov should try and push the player back. This means it gives our players the chance to get into their positions and also limiting any attacking options for them. If he can’t do that he should push him out wide to a position where he has to kick the ball off. This is because running into the box would be dangerous for us to handle so this will be prevented. Antonini should act as a full back and not go up as much as Anyukov will. This is because we want to create some stability at the back. They will be dangerous on the counter so if we look to keep some players back we can prevent goals from occurring. However I would like him to go up every now and then if my attackers do need the help. He should also look to keep the attackers back or push them out wide. When we have a free kick or corner our full backs should stay back in case of a counter attack.

Wollscheid should use his height and strength to keep the striker(s) out of the game. I want him to keep with that attacker at all times not allowing him to break up space. If he tries to move Wollscheid away and allow space to occur then he should temporarily leave him and try and trap him offside. Because Anyukov will be attacking he should act as help temporarily to prevent players cutting into the box. He should try and header every ball out of the box or kick it away. When he does kick it away he should kick it towards the wings so that we can create a counter attack. He should stay back when we’re attacking unless we have a corner or free kick. Ogbonna should use his experience and strength to keep potential runners into the box out. We do not want any space opened up. He should look to keep command of the defensive line making sure it’s not too high but not too deep. For Wollscheid I would like him to be up in the opposition’s box for corners and free kicks. Ogbonna should stay just outside the box before the free kick/corner is taken and then run in round the back when it is.

Lucho will act as a wall in front of the defence. He should look to disrupt their attacking play and be in the oppositions face, and watch the advances of their playmaker who will break from midfield and make runs into the box. Lucho has the power to cope with the strength of their playmaker and also the pace to follow the runs made by him. He will break late and Lucho should watch the runs into the box and look to cope with the balls put into the box which are heading for this player. He should not break forward but hold his position and not get caught up field. I want him to control the style of the game we play. While acting as cover for our defence he should also separate the midfield from the defence by keeping hold of the ball and form attacks.

Arteta will be our box-box midfielder. This means he will be linking our defence with our attack. He should take hold of the ball and then make runs forward and then supplying it to any of the front 4 ahead. When we’re attacking I want him to move up and stay in space. This will mean he will be an option for the others to pass to. He should also look to open up space for the other attacking players. When off the ball he should be a ball winning player by standing in front of their players and also covering up any spaces. Kaka should use his pace and strength to make runs into the box and opening up space for Robinho. It should do the same for the wingers as well. He will look to supply the ball to the wingers as well. He must make runs all around the front of the defence going right, left and centre. This will create himself as an added option for his wingers and also open up space for the other central players to run into. This will also cause his defensive midfielder to move out of position and allow our wingers to use that space by running into the centre or the other 2 central midfielders to run into.

I want Gabby to use his skill to keep the ball and then try and make runs into the box. This will cause the defender to follow him and opening up space for the full back to run into. He must use his pace to outrun the full back but also his quality control of the ball to dribble round him. He will use the full back when the space has opened up. He should work with Antonini to create space in the opposition’s box. Use Antonini out wide to bring their full back to him so Gabby can run into the box with less challenge. If that doesn’t work then he should bring the full back to him and then use Antonini. When we’re off the ball I want him to make runs back to help protect the defence by helping Antonini cover their full back. They should both pressurise him to make a mistake or remove the ball from that area. Gabby should also be cautious of the other midfielders. When defending a corner he should stay just outside the box so that he can start a counter attack when or if we win the ball back. I would like Hulk to do the same as Gabby in this case.

I would like Gabby and Hulk to intersect and change positions every now and then to cause their defenders to move out of position and open up space. This will also force them to constantly adapt to changing their defensive style.

Robinho should as a false 9 which means he will drop deep in attack and then start an attack. This could mean using his wingers as an attacking option. This should mean the defenders will follow him therefore freeing up space for the players such as Kaka, Hulk, Gabby and Arteta to threaten the goal in. When needed though Robinho will act as a striker and try and run into space to get onto the end of crosses, through balls, etc...

Subs: Al Habsi, Aurier, Marquinhos, Milner, Oscar, Tadic, Ezekiel

Captain: Pablo Zabaleta
Free Kicks: Eden Hazard
Penalties: Eden Hazard
Corners: Hazard (from left, inswing) Walcott (From right, outswing)

Game Plan: A must win game after three bad weeks where we only picked up a point. We looked to refreshen the team hence Koke is given a debut and De Jong starts. Also Gignac starts and he will look to repeat his real life form for us. Play with a quick tempo, good short passing, don’t be afraid to kick it long as we have Gignac up top who is strong in the air and is good at holding the ball up. Defensively be solid, keep close to your man.

Szczesny will use his height to collect crosses, allowing our defence to keep in shape, if we have a chance to counter from there Szczesny uses his quick distribution to the wingers. He must command his area. Come for crosses when he is at least 80% sure he can get them. He will pass the ball out unless he is 80% sure we will not lose the ball when kicking it long as we want to keep possession as much as possible in this game.

Zabaleta & Kolarov must not give the Opposition wingers any time on the ball. They will allow the opposition wingers inside them as this will take them into traffic. We are vulnerable on the wings as Walcott and Hazard don’t really like tracking back so if we force the opposition wingers inside this will be better for us. If the opportunity presents then they should attack. If one of the full back attacks then the other one MUST stay back so we have 3 defenders back at all times along with Mikel.

Godin and Boateng, A good mix of power, pace, aerial ability and composure on the ball, allows us to be commanding at the back and limit the amount of opportunities for the opposition. Godin will control the back four and make sure everybody is doing their job correctly by using his excellent leadership skills. Godin and Boateng will stay close to each other not allowing the opposition to open up space. Boateng looks to defend the first ball coming towards our defence, using his reading of the game to get there before the striker and clear, he'll use his great tackling to shut him down around the area and then look to get the ball back. Godin stays in position when Boateng does this covering the remaining space, he will be able to clear the second ball if it gets beyond Boateng.

Mikel sits in front of the defence and try and break down attacks and start new ones for us. He will be strong in their tackles and always play it simple when on the ball. De Jong will be his partner who will play close to him when defending. He has the responsibility in helping out the full backs also. Defensively be solid, Mikel and De Jong will sit deep and defend our back four. When the attack is on their side, they will drift over and team up with our full back, close them down and win the ball back. De Jong will look to protect the LB and Mikel the RB. However ultimately, they must stay tight in the middle and look to give no space to the opposition etc. When one of them covers a full back then Koke drops in to still make it two in the middle:
-------------------------------Kolarov
---------Mikel----Koke-----De Jong
Walcott

This leaves Walcott and Hazard free which is where our main threat is and where we are dangerous.

Koke will be our advanced playmaker. He has the ability to pick out the cutest of passes, which is just what we need with players like Gignac, Hazard, Walcott in the team. He has to manipulate the play and find these players in free space. Koke is also there to support Gignac. When needed he will drop into midfield and make it tight.

Walcott and Hazard will be the wingers, and both should provide us natural width I want them to put the opposition full backs under pressure. They will play in an attacking role. They must keep the ball if there is no support and wait for players to arrive. They may also go for long range shots as both are good at them. This will also make the opposition full backs not attack making our job in defence easier. Furthermore they both have the ability to do that and are very good at it. Hazard is instructed to come on his right foot sometimes and take a ‘shock’ shot, catching the keeper out. Look for Gignac’s runs also.

Gignac is given a rare opportunity and he will look to make the most of it. He will play to his strengths – holding the ball up in attacks, bringing others into play. He will also look to make runs where Koke and Hazard will look to feed him.

If losing any time after 65mins –
If losing 80mins – Oscar > Koke, , Ezekiel > Boateng 3-5-2

If Drawing 75mins – Oscar > Koke, De Jong > Milner

If Winning 75mins – Hazard > Tadic, Walcott > Aurier

If Keeper gets sent off then AM comes off for keeper on bench
In this case: De Jong > Al Habsi 4-2-2-2
If Defender gets sent off then AM comes off for Defender on bench
In this case: De Jong > Marquinhos. 4-2-2-2
If RB gets sent off, Aurier > De Jong. If LB gets sent off: Boateng > LB and Marquinhis CB
If DM gets sent off (Mikel/De Jong) then AM for DM on bench
In this case: Milner on for Koke
If st gets sent off, the AM for St on bench
In this case: De Jong > Oscar. Walcott ST

----------- Buffon
Rafael – Pepe – Evans – Filipe
------- Sandro – Gerrard
Shaqiri --- Hamsik ---------- Reus
-------------- Dzeko

Subs. Cesar, Albiol, Pirlo, Ox, Grenier, Arnautovic, Eto’o

Attacking 4-2-3-1. Must win game. We’ve not done too well in recent games, Hamsik and Shaqiri come into the team for their full debuts as we look to freshen things up.
As usual we want to play with lots of width, stretch the game and get our full backs supporting our wingers.

We are looking to build on a strong defence, this is why we’ve opted for Gerrard ahead of Pirlo for this match, as we want to give our front four as much freedom as we can and really take the game to Everton.

In defence we will look to keep things simple, staying composed and passing our way out without anything fancy. Rigid in our positions. One full back forward at a time, the other reserved but ready to join attack if play switches to his side. Sandro very defensive, Gerrard has license to go forward.

When defending we will look to puss high pressure on Everton as soon as they enter our half. At least four of our midfielder 5 will get back, Dzeko staying up with one midfielder given freedom at a time when we don’t have possession.

We want to play quite a high line, not quite at the half way line but almost. We have the pace in defence to deal with their attackers. Push Everton back, and make it difficult for them to get out. And keep Drogba as far away from our goal as possible if he plays. We have a settled back four now.

In attack we will be far more fluid in our positioning. The front three have freedom to switch with each other, find space and drag their players out of position.

Aim to get the ball out wide, so that we can get crosses in for Dzeko and Hamsik who will look to be close on Dzeko’s heels offering constant support.

Player roles.

Buffon – Experience and quality in goals as always, organising the defence we are confident our backline will be well directed and organised. He will give confidence to the backline.

Filipe and Rafael – Have the ability to get up and down the park all day long. When one is bombing forward the other will stay back and reserved. Plenty of pace to deal with their wingers. Don't dive in.

Pepe and Evans. Evans will be strong in the air and look to be the one to challenge first off. Pepe has the pace to cover and catch any of their players. Get the ball down and build from the back when we can. Pepe gets forward for set pieces.

Sandro: Be the bully in the middle of the park. Has the power to run the midfield with Gerrard. Will also be a handful at set pieces.

Gerrard: Captain at cm. Playing from a deeper position that he’s done well in, will have plenty of movement in front of him so he will thrive.

Shaqiri – Show us your skills.
Hamsik – Allo allo.
Reus – Give him the ball.
Dzeko – Get in the box. Head it. Score!
Simply front four have freedom when we are in possession, find space, get the ball and let them play their natural game

Subs. If winning after 70 mins bring on Ox for Shaqiri.
If drawing or winning after 75 mins bring on Pirlo for Gerrard. More creativity for when the game opens up.
If losing after 65 mins bring on Eto’o for Shaqiri. Playing rw in attacking 4-3-3.
If losing after 75 mins bring on Pirlo for Sandro. Gerrard play dm. Very attacking team.
If winning after 80 mins bring on Eto’o for Dzeko. Pace and someone to run with the ball to wind clock down, and more likely break through their defence and score!!
If a red card, sub if need be to play a 4-4-1.

Game Plan: Our objective for this tough home game against Villa is to play the game with real convection and we need to be lethal in attack, but also to be solid defensively. Basically, we will try and win the game and collect all 3 points, but if we know we can't win the game, we make it as scrappy and as tight as possible and we don't lose the game to Villa, we play for the point if we can't collect all 3. Make it difficult for them to find space. We look to find Lisandro so he can use his power to link with the front 3 to get goals and we stand off until they advance into the final third and stay in position but keep it tight.

Adler is a strong Goalkeeper. He needs to use his size to make the goals as small as possible on 1v1's. he also needs to use his height to collect as much as he can in the air and give it time for the players to leave the box so we can push up.

Van Der Weil and Angel will be my full backs. Van Der Weil will be the more advanced full back and he will make the runs up the line so long as Callejon covers. He will use his pace to overlap and get past the full back. But on their defensive duties they must again use there pace to keep pace with the wingers and they must force them wide and make sure they get the strong tackle in but don't let them cut inside.

Tasci and Dominguez will be our CB's. Tasci will mark the ST. He will use his height and his power to win headers and make the strong tackles on the ST. he will mark him tightly so he doesn't allow him to twist and turn away from him. Dominguez will sit 10 yards deeper and sweep in behind. If the St does go past Tasci, he needs to make sure he holds him up so we can get bodies back to defend and doesn't let him through on goal, he shows him onto his (Dominguez's) stronger side so it is easier for him to get a tackle in. he must win every header at the back. It is a good pairing as there is plenty of pace, power and they need to be confident. No messing around, the ball needs to go up field to take the pressure off.

Mavuba and Romeu will be my midfielders. There is a good mix of strength, technical ability, passing ability and composure in midfield for us. Mavuba will be the one that drops deep and protects the back 4. he offers protection not allowing work onto them as much so he marks the AM. He doesn't allow him to dictate the play and if he turns towards goal he needs to hassle him and win the ball and not allow him to spray the passes about and force him backwards. He needs to try and intercept and break down attacks. Romeu will also support him in there. He will win the ball off any on running midfielder and will look to get balls into Lisandro as often as he can. He needs to break down moves and look to get the ball into Lisandro to hold up and bring the more attacking minded players into the game. he needs to create the space in the midfield to allow more space and time for the 3 attackers in front of him and more space for Lisandro to link up.

Callejon, Martin and Gaitan will be my more attack minded midfield 3. They will be playing as inside forwards. They need to link up with Lisandro when he gets the ball and they need to provide options. If one player makes a run to a wide position, then another player must make a run over the top through the defence and the other to retrieve the ball and find a defence splitting pass. Callejon and Gaitan can make the runs wide and force the pressure onto the full back and allow Martin to play a diagonal pass through the defence to them or they can go central and run at their defence and there midfield creating an overload of midfielders. They need to support Lisandro and other players by taking players out of the game to open up more of a space to other players.

Lisandro will be our big and powerful ST. He will look to use his power to collect and control as many balls into him as possible. Once he brings into his feet, he needs to get his head up and lay it off to the front 3 midfielders behind him, once he has played the pass, he needs to turn off his man and run onto the last man. if crosses come into the box for the chance, I need him to rise above the defender getting in front of him to win the header and make a good attempt at goal. If he is played through on goal from he needs to hold the ball off the defenders and keep his composure and slot into the net.

Game plan:
we need to win this to keep up with our European challenge. Portsmouth are a strong team and we expect them to come as us at time but my team will be organised and will pressure them all over the pitch causing them to make a mistake, then we can hit them on the break with the pace in our team. The balance of the team looks good with the midfield 3, all of my team will be putting a shift in and give 100%. The team will look to play simple passes and will always start from the back, if the midfield run out of options they shouldn’t be afraid to start again from the back. The team will look to keep the ball on the floor as much as possible as we are not the tallest team and this may give the other team the advantage. We will look to play wider with the wide players keeping the options open for the team. When my team are crossing the ball drilled crosses will be preferred.
We will not be scared to soak up abit of pressure and then launch counter attacks at pace.
When it comes to the opposition we will look to close them down quickly and give them no time on the ball, always trying to make them rush their passes and cause mistakes. We will look to disrupt the tempo of the game and ideally we will want dictate the tempo ourselves. We will show their wide players onto their weaker foot and into the corner.
Friedel:
Friedel is a decent keeper and he will look to demand his area, he will collect/punch crosses and he will collect loose balls that come into the box. He will use a big voice if he wants the ball left by the defenders.

Debuchy and Ekotto:
(Attacking) – They will look to receive the ball from the keeper and start attacks from the back but I don’t want them to hoof the ball they will look to pass the ball out. When the team are attacking I would like both players to push up and provide an option for the wide men. I would also like them to overlap to also help the wide men and put in a decent crosses. Both players however will need to make sure if they commit to an attack that they can get back if the opposition launch a counter attack if they are not confident then I don’t want them to push up as much.
(Defending) When these players are defending I will ask them to talk to the wide men infront of them if they need cover or help. I will ask for these players to stick tight to the opposition wide men and to show them onto their weaker foot to weaken the cross and guide them into the corner and try to concede a throw in rather than a throw in. If a CB commits to an attack I would like these players to cover and holes in the defense that need to be covered.

Kaboul and Rami:
(Attacking) – Both of the defenders will look to collect the ball from the goalkeeper and they will look to start attacks by passing the ball into the midfield however if there is no opening in midfield they should look for the long ball (preferably out wide) or they should not be shy to keep it in the defense and encourage players to make openings for them. For corners both players should go up and one or both of the full backs will cover.
(Defending) – Kaboul will mark the main striker he will stick close to him and will use his power to beat the player in the air, he will show him onto his weaker foot and look to dispossess him without giving away any silly fouls.
Rami will take the second striker or he will provide cover for Kaboul and will clean up loose balls. If he is marking another striker I would also like him to make the player play on his weaker foot and show him away from goal.
Gustavo and Witsel
(Attacking) – Both of these players will be playing the deeper role in the team and they will both look to spread the play over the pitch when they are position however they will look to play it simply and not over complicate their passes and wont play still passes that will cost us possession.
Witsel will be the player to push up if we are struggling to create many chance where as Gustavo will not and will Stay back, Witsel will be used as the box to box midfielder and will need to work hard.
(Defending) – Both players will need to close the opposition down quickly and give them no space looking to dispossess them and start quick attacks when they do they will need to rush Arsenal this is important that they do this!! They will look to track the runs of the oppositions and Gustavo must make sure they are picking up the most creative Arsenal player in the midfield.

Holtby
Holtby will be be given the free role in the team he will look to create attacks, join attacks, get into the box when he can, collect the ball and always look to make something happen. The free role will enable him to move anywhere on the pitch to collect the ball and make things happen this will make him harder to mark aswell.
When we are defending he needs to close the opposition down as he is not afraid of putting in a tackle and is more than capable of dispossessing the oppsotion and breaking at pace so he will close the opposition down and when we win the ball back look to get into good positions to receive the ball so he can start attacks.

Menez and Lavezzi:
(Attacking) – Menez and Lavezzi will look to stick to the wings when not in possession they will look to receive the ball all the time and these two will need to put a shift in. They will look to take on their defenders and get to the byline and put crosses in for the strikers, as said above drilled crosses will be better for our players to try and get onto the end of. If they are feeling more confident both players can cut inside and take on the defenders and lay the ball off or have a shot, they will be asked to mix it up and not make their play to predictable. They will use the full backs to create space in behind the defenders for them to run into. If our team win possession they need to look to run into space to create a counter attack
(Defending) – Both players will need to put a shift in defensively also they will look to track back the runs of the Arsenal full backs. They will look to help out our full backs by doubling up on the winger if the opposition full backs don’t commit to the attack. If our full backs commit too far forward they will also look to cover the full back positions if needed.

Huntelaar:
(Attacking) - Huntelaar is a clinical finisher and will not be afraid to run at defenders and unleash a shot or two. He will be in the box when the crosses come into the box to try and get a tap in.
Marchisio will be having the free role so will be able to join Huntelaar and Huntelaar can use Marchisio to make space to create chances.

Subs:
If winning 80th min
Caulker for Holtby – 5 at the back and hang on for the win.
If Losing 75th min
Cisse for Holtby – 4-4-2 two up top.
D.Costa for Menez – Pace on the wings.

Sunderland Vs. EVERTON

-------------Lindegaard-----------------
Srna----Garay------Miranda---Taylor
-------------Giggs--Paulinho-----------
----Mirallas-----KPB--------Ramirez--
---------------Di Natale------------------

Subs: Benaglio, Alves, Duffy, Veloso, Sinclair, Honda, De Jong.

Tactical Brief:

General - Counter attacking football. Allow QPR to attack us, fall back before giving it to one of our flair players to create something for our onrushing wingers who are full of pace.

GK - Lindegaard to distribute the ball very quickly when it comes to him. Look for Giggs/KPB who can really create from the centre, or Srna/Taylor speeding down the wings.

FB - Taylor and Srna to provide pace and overlapping runs with their pace and attacking ability.

CB - Miranda and Garay need to look to play the ball out rather than hoof it. They'll get a lot of pressure today because we're going to look to pull QPR onto us before hitting them on the counter. So they need to remain alert throughout.

CM - Paulinho to speed across the pitch today, sticking in defence as a CDM shield. As soon as he gets the ball he'll look to play it through for the wingers. Or give it to Giggs who offensively is still a genius. Paulinho must make sure Giggs isn't isolated by QPR's midfield.

AM - Wingers to stay forward because QPR are forced to mark them because they're fast enough to get away from the defence if not. They need to get the ball, beat their men for pace before playing in Di Natale who will finish every chance they get.

ST - Di Natale to stay forward and keep moving. Use his experience to pull the defence all over the place, giving space for the AM's to do their work. Once we're running behind the QPR defenders he'll drop off slightly into space before the AM's play him in. This way he'll have time to finish whilst the QPR CB's have their backs to him.

Subs - Like for like, don't change the tactics, it's the best way we can get a result today. If we need more pace Ramirez to move into the centre for KPB and Sinclair to come on for Boateng on the left.

If we're winning in the second half, Veloso on for Giggs to shore up the defence.

Hart is a vocal keeper and will command his back line.
Jagielka will mark Toons main striker while Tomkins will sweep away any loose balls in the box.
Iraola has the licence to go forward and support the attack when necessary, Clark will play a more reserved role.
M’Vila will break up play .he is the enforcer in midfield, Cabeye will act as the play maker with good distribution of the ball making the team tick. The French duo will work great together.
Ben Arfa and Turan will as always attack the full backs with great pace and dribbling, whipping balls into the box or cutting inside and taking a shot so they don’t become predictable. The two can also act as inside forwards if necessary
Michu is lethal in the air and had good control of the ball. He will play behind Ba, playing him through or taking a shot from his knockdowns
Ba will use his strength and pace to bully the Toon defence. He will hold the ball up if he has little support to bring other into play. Goalscorer.

Pompey vs Hull City 4-2-3-1:

------------------------Zieler
---Danilo------Howedes-Bonucci----Luke Shaw
----------Nemanja Matic ------Fellaini
----Mario Gotze------Toni Kroos----El Shaarawy
----------------------Lewandowski

Subs: Draxler, Criscito, Carvajal, Felipe Anderson, Moutinho, Icardi, Rode

Formation: 4-2-3-1 (Changing into a 4-3-3 or 4-5-1)
Freekicks: Mario Gotze
Penalties: Lewandowski
Corners: Toni Kroos (Bonucci comes up)
Captain: Howedes

Game Plan: We are hosting a Hull side who have been punching above their weight, and we will aim to put them back in their place today. They will be missing their most influential, and best player in Claudio Marchisio, and thankfully, that will ease up the pressure on New boy Nemanja Matic on his debut . Without Marchisio, Hull have no one to make them tick, so we must take advantage of this, and press them high up the pitch, forcing them into making mistakes. Their biggest weak point comes at LB in the form of Assou Ekotto, who has been sh it for Spurs, and this is a real let down in their defence. We will look at Gotze to take advantage of this, as Gotze is a great dribbler, and is excellent at confusing oppositin, and with the added bonus the BAE the clown loves to foul players, we will look to win frekicks in this area, where we have several good set piece takers. Another point where Hull look weak is in GK, where Lloris is injured, so whoever the back up keeper is, we will look to test them with some real cracking shots, and we have some of the best shooters in the league, with Kroos very capable of a net buster, Fellaini who offers a great drive too, Gotze and El Shaarawy who are brilliant finsihers, and Lewandowski who can shootfrom anywhere. We will give this Keeper a game he will want to forget, and look to get many shots as possible on target. Furthermore, Hull lack a decent RW, where we think (and hope ) they play Menez, who can be easily handled by Luke Shaw, whose an excellent defender even if he's better at attacking. Their striker, KJH has had a season to forget, and has had a very poor goal return, so we will hope you will not be fooled to believing he can Score against two top defenders in Bonucci and Howedes. We will look to target Their DM, Luis Gustavo, although he is a good DM, he cracks under physical pressure, and Fellaini will be giving a lot of that. Fellaini must team up with Kroos to pressurise Gustavo in midfield, and this will be key in deciding the midfield battle. Fellaini must also help out the debutant Matic who is very capable in defensive midfield, but tackling isn't his strongest point, so we will look at Fellaini to guide and cover for him through today. However, we cannot put in any silly challenges that will result in bookings or even freekicks.

Defence: We will start off in a 4-2-3-1 formation, relying on Danilo and Shaw to do what they do best, and really attack the flanks, with Mario Gotze and El Shaarawy playing as wingers, instructed to drift inside, allowing space for the FB's. Danilo especially, must look to get those fantastic crosses into the penalty are, where Lewandowski can launch himself at the ball, or where El Shaarawy will be lurking. On the other side, Shaw is as attack-minded, but is a terrific dribbler, so he must look to take on his man, and venture into the Hull half as much as possible, and look to play short 1-2's with the likes of Fellaini and Kroos. Both of these Fullbacks must come back at all times, to prevent Hull from hurting us on the counter. Alongside them, Howedes and Bonucci are a strong a pairing as any. They are a real force to be reckoned with, and whilst Howedes isn't fastest, he is extremely good in the air, and a brilliant leader at the back, and he must position himself well at every set piece, marking the attacker that likes to make difficult runs to the back post. Bonucci on the other hand, will tackle the tall men, or those good in the air, as Bonucci leave's no victims in that territory. He must also use his long legs as an asset to take the ball away from the toes of attackers, but must stay clean. Both of our CB's are strictly told to keep their hands out of their way, and to control their tackles, and not go lunging in on forwards giving away cheap freekicks. Bonucci is also a great passer of the ball, so must not be afraid to step into midfield, and caress the ball all he likes, as long as risky passes/back passes are prevented. Neither of our defenders must be afraid to clear the ball long when in danger, but generally, we will look to pass the ball out of defence.

Moving on from defence, we will be playing a lovely mix of midfielders in our central 3. On his first start, Nemanja Matic will be the most defensive of the lot, pulling all the strings from defensive midfield. His excellent vision, and eye of the needle passes will help unlock Hull's defence, as we look to play in Gotze and El Shaarawy, whilst Gotze and El must drop back to receive short passes, before passing it on again. As he is a natural DM, Nemanja Matic must be wary of stepping forward without protection, as we can get out done on the counter, but he will be looking to always get the ball rolling, and sometimes clip those 40 yard passes over the top for Lewandowski, who is an expert in controlling, and holding the ball. Alongside him is our box-to-box midfield enforcer Maruoane Fellaini, who will start deep, but later go on to form an attacking triangle with Kroos when we are chasing a goal, in a 4-1-2-3

---------Nemanja Matic
----Toni Kroos------Fellaini

If we are lacking creativity in AM. However, Fellaini must not neglect defensive duties, and his immense power and presence must combine with his pressing ability to always win the ball back when we lose it. Fellaini offers great drive from midfield, and his powerful shots are an added bonus to us. His passing is always accurate, and he must look to supply Gotze and El with sly passes and through balls, to try and find a way in behind Eveton's defence. Ahead of him, Toni Kroos will be playing AM, but must also help out defensively, and when we are under pressure, we must revert to a 4-5-1

-------Nemanja Matic--Toni Kroos--Fellaini
Mario Gotze------------------------------El Shaarawy

As this will bring more stability to the midfield, and can contain Hull's attacks down the centre of the pitch. However, Kroos' role is crucial to our team. He is the one that brings all the flair to the table and with superb passing skills and quick thinking ability, his main aim will be to slip in one of our forwards. If there comes a time when the ball breaks to him, he must use his silky feet to slip away from defenders and find space, and he must not forget that he will almost always have support in Fellaini. All midfielders should be able to cover our Fullback's runs, so if Shaw is caught out, we must rely on Fellaini to move into his position, and cover for him, and same with Matic on the other side. This will ensure that we will always have our full backs cover

Up ahead, Mario Gotze and El Shaarawy start as wingers, with strict instructions to revert to a 4-3-3 when we need more bodies attacking centrally. In this formation change, we will be relying more on Danilo and Shaw to cover the entire flank, as with Gotze and El Shaarawy playing inside forward roles, we don't want to lack width:

-------Matic--------Fellaini
------------Toni Kroos
----Gotze--------------El Shaarawy

This will make us more threatening in the central areas, and give’s us natural width, if we need it via the full backs. It will also conjure up more space for the FB to thrive off, where they have more time to spot runs and passes, with our midfielders looking to cover them if they run out of position. However, if we need to attack Hull out wide, our 2 inside men will look to revert back to the starting wing roles in the 4-2-3-1 and must look to go back outside with Kroos stepping a notch, allowing our two wingers to confuse opposition defenders and create up a great understanding with the 3 CM’s. Mario Gotze has brilliant dribbling skills, and very quick feet, and he must look to turn away from oppressors when he has the chance, before using his brilliant vision to find a Portsmouth shirt. His brilliant versatility means we cover almost every position in the left-central area of the pitch, as Gotze likes to come inside, but doesn’t mind going by the touchline and drifting inside like most inside forwards. He must also look to get some brilliant crosses onto the heads of Lewandowski, or the feet of El Shaarawy, but also should look to set up Kroos/Fellaini, who will no doubt be lurking just outside the box, for a volley or long shot. On the other side, Stephan El Shaarawy is a brilliant finisher, and he loves to take on his man, whilst he’s always reliable when it comes to making runs off the last man. His rapid pace must see him chase the ball every time it breaks loose, whilst his lethal runs will always be a danger to Everton. He is also a genius at winning penalties, and must look to trick his way into the box using a wide range of skills to frighten the defence. His brilliant link up play with Lewandowski will see the 2 combining well, as El Shaarawy is fantastic at finding his man, whilst Lewandowski's passing is extremely good for a striker. If any chance falls to SES, he must take it, as his finishing is a brilliant asset, and he must always be a mirror to Gotze, when it comes to formation, as soon as we revert to a 4-3-3, he and Gotze must turn central, in the roles of an inside forward, cutting/drifting in only when our two fullbacks are ready to run into space. Likewise, when we implement a 4-2-3-1, they will both automatically hug the touchline, cutting in only when they have support.

NOTE: El Shaarawy and Gotze will start off as wingers, but as soon as we do a formation switch, they will act as inside forwards, before reverting as we do

Up front, Lewandowski is the dream striker to play alongside in a 4-2-3-1 as not only does he drop back, but he attacks every ball in the box and is great at holding it up. Our 3 forwards must look to combine at every opportunity. Lewandowski must also look to to finish off every chance that falls his way, and he is brilliant in the air, so must outmuscle the defenders, when it comes to taking crosses of Danilo and Gotze. He will rely on his quick thinking, positioning, Technical ability and Finishing Prowess and look to crumble the Hull defence, with his brilliant knack of finding the back of the net

Subs:

On winning on 60mins: Draxler > El Shaarawy, offers more energy and buzz, and can cause real problems for Hull as he is 2 footed and fits into all 3 systems

If winning at 60: Carvajal > Danilo, more defensive RB, really compliments Criscito well on the other side, a great crosser too when he does get forward, and fantastic passer, so must look to whip those balls in for Lewandowski and Fellaini/Kroos

If winning on 60: Criscito > Luke Shaw, more defensive FB, strict 4-2-3-1 formation.

If losing/Drawing On 60mims: Moutinho > Matic, Moutinho is more deeper, and less defensive minded, so will offer more stability, as well as great vision and technique. However, he will play very deep, as we wont be playing an outright DM, and he must halt AM's in their tracks

If Losing/Drawing at 60: Draxler > Fellaini, we move to a 4-1-4-1 attacking formation in an attempt to grab a goal:

----------------Moutinho
--Gotze--Kroos-----Draxler--SES

However, Moutinho must stay very deep indeed and act as an Alonso, as he can defend too

If losing/Drawing On 75mins: Mauro Icardi > Kroos, 4-1-3-2

----------------------Moutinho
---Mario Gotze-----Toni Kroos-------Draxler
--------------Lewandowski--Icardi

This has the perfect balance in attacking Midfield, and two strikers who complement each other brilliantly. Icardi is very good at flicking balls on with his head, and his finishing is extremely good, so must look to attack each ball that comes in the box and link up well with Lewandowski

---------------------Aubameyang
Subs
Begovic, Juanfran, De Vrij, Barry, Payet, Dembele, Osvaldo

Tactics
An attack-minded 4-3-3 formation with emphasis on keeping possession and playing with width to stretch the opposition.

Keeper
When distributing the ball, he should look to keep it simple and play the percentage pass. At crosses and set pieces, should look to punch rather than attempt any catches with an element of risk.

Full Backs
When going forward, the wingers will be playing a mostly wide game so should look to play behind the wingers, giving them an option to play it safely back if there is no forward option, and they should also look to provide width if the wingers cut inside. When defending, they should look to just track the wingers and aim to keep them on their wrong foot and block any crosses.

Centre Backs
Hummels will compete for the aerial balls, and Agger will look to collect the 2nd ball, when the ball is on the floor, the onus is more on blocks than tackles. When on the ball, if the opposition are giving them space to come out with the ball, then they can take it forward, if not, just look to play it simple to a man in space and keep possession.

Defensive Midfielder
Inler will look to just sit in front of the back 4, looking to cover the full backs when they go forward. and when we are defending, he will track the opposition AM, only leaving him if another Midfielder is making inroads into the final third with the ball.

Centre Mids
Both are comfortable on the ball, and both have engines to last the full 90 with a high energy game, when they are on the ball both midfielders are suited to looking for a pass, but can take the ball forward if the space is there, if either man is running with the ball, they are comfortable with shooting from outside the box, so should look to test the keeper quite often. When defending, they will look to use their workrate to press the opposition midfielders when they are on the ball.

Wingers
They should look to stay as wide as possible when they receive the ball to try and stretch the defensive line and create space for midfield runners and/or Auby. When on the ball, both wingers have the ability to stay wide and put a cross in, or cut inside to try and make space for a shot, so should look to pick out which is the best option at the time, if they do cut inside, the full backs should have moved forward to occupy the touchline and provide an out ball if there is no other option. If they have taken the opposition full back out of the game, they shouldnt be afraid to go into the box, as defenders will be extra cautious to not give away a penalty, and this provides the option of just drilling a cross to Auby or a simple drag back to the CM's, who should be taking positions on the edge of the box. When the opposite winger has the ball, the winger without the ball should look to find space between the CB and full back to add an extra body for any crosses or capitalise on any defensive errors.

Striker
When defending, he should look to keep tabs on the defensive midfielder to stop any easy balls being played back to him, when attacking, he should look to hang onto the the shoulder of the last defender, looking to break any offside traps and get into 1 on 1's with the keeper, when setting up counter attacks, he should be drifting over to the left slightly.

Set Pieces
Corners - Robben and Schweiny take in swinging corners, the 2 CB's go into the box, Denisov and Schmelzer stay back to prevent counters, the CB's, Auby and Schweiny attack the ball, Johnson, Modric and the Wingers take positions just outside the box to pick up any weak defensive headers or knockdowns.

Free Kicks - For direct FK's Schweiny and Robben will shoot depending on which foot it favours. For Indirect FKs, follow the same directives for Corners

Penalties - Robben is the designated taker.

Subs

If Winning
68 mins - Dembele for Modric - Schweiny goes to DM alongside Denisov, Dembele in front of the 2, we shore the game up defensively, with Dembele looking to hustle the opposition midfielders with his fresh legs and energy, and focus on counter attacks

76 mins - Barry and Juanfran for Ribery and Robben - Juanfran goes to RW, Barry DM, Dembele LW, shore up the game defensively and keep Auby up with his pace as a threat for a counter attack.

If Losing
72 mins - Dembele for Denisov - go to 4-2-3-1 with Modders just off Auby, and the midfield 2 looking to work the ball to the front 4.

80 mins - Payet and Osvaldo for Robben and Modric - Payet LW, Auby RW, Ribery AM, Ossy up front, all out attack now, pile bodies forward and get the ball forward, the full backs are pushed forward and Cech acts as a sweeper-keeper.

We are facing a strong side today, and therefore have decided to play counter-attacking football. We have a strong enough defence, in conjunction with a hard working midfield to limit the space in which they can play through constant pressure and will look to break at speed with direct, quick passing in order to catch them out with too many players having pushed forwards. Content not to have the ball, we will stifle their play and absorb any pressure they create before breaking forwards at speed with direct, quick and fluid play. It is important to note that we are not being defensive in our style against Everton, but rather maximising our chances of victory with a style of play that suits our game and means we are both a) More likely to score and b) Less likely to concede

Marchetti is a keeper whose experience gives him an edge and he knows that in this league debut he has a point to prove. He will be looking to exert confidence through claiming any balls into the box, and with his shot stopping ability will repel any efforts they have on goal. In order to launch us on the counter, he will distribute it quickly with good throws and kicking to players who are in space.

This a pacey yet strong defence that has both experience and game awareness in abundance. With our counter-attacking style, they will have a realtively deep line to hold, as we snuffle out there creative impoetous with the pressure of our three man midfield, with the back 4 mopping up any balls that are attempted by them. Benatia will have the role of marshalling the defence, and marking their main striker whilst Jesus will track any extra runners into the box. Enrique and Uchida are going to stick to their respective sides; trying to take the wingers out of the game by limiting the space that they have to play in through sticking to them. They must remember that their primary role is to defend, and in doing so they will show their man to the crowded center of the pitch and thus out of any danger. However, when counter-attacking, due their pace and attacking intent will mean they can join our counter's at speed (only one of them, so as not to leave us exposed) and get on the overlap in order to create space for others/get the ball into the box. Uchida, in particular, has extra license to get beyond Adrian who is playing as an inside forward. As a general rule of thumb, the defensive line will be quite deep - around the edge of the box - to allow little space for the opposition to attack into.

We are effectively playing a three man midfield. Comfortable at AM, CM and DM, we have listed Fernandinho at AM as when we break forwards on the counter he should be the most advanced of this trio. He will be looking to get in and around the box, providing another option and being the main link up with Kiessling when he holds the ball up and thus key to bringing other players into the move. However, when we are defending he is to drop to the center of the park, and help pressurize and cut out the creative impoteous of their creative players alongside Nainnggolan and Carrick. It will mean that their creative players in behind the striker have no room to find 'pockets' of space and will provide the basis of our midfield, meaning that we can break forward in numbers. Nainnggolan will be the box-to-box midfielder breaking from deep on the counter, and putting in a shift all over the pitch; whilst Carrick will be a 'quarterback' as our deep lying play maker, connecting the defensive and attacking phases together with his pinpoint passing which will create chances for us through finding players who are in space due to their likely attacking nature. of passing is very good, and he can draw players into him before picking out the man in space. This ability to draw players in and pass quickly and precisely is key to the 'transistion' phase of us counter attacking. This trio in midfield is perfectly suited to a direct, counter-attacking style of football and with substitutes coming on after a period of time they will not get excessively tired.

The key for both Ayew and Adrian today is to provide options when we counter with runs into space that can be picked out by our direct and fast passing. When on the ball, having found space, Ayew will look to the byline and get the ball into the box, towards Kiessling or the onrushing Fernandinho. However, Adrian will be playing as an inside forward and with Uchida on the overlap will have more license to cut inside and target the space left between their sluggish LB/CB.They should both look to link up with the big German when he is holding the ball up; providing options and movement to create space for both themselves and others.

Kiessling is the target man, and the focus point of our counter attacks. Ideally; we will be looking to get the ball to him in the box. He has good ball control skills, and thus combined with his size can deal with aerial crosses or those drilled in towards his feet. He should occasionally look to hold the ball up to bring others into the move, and link up with the trio behind him however his primary role as the focal point of our attack is to do what he has been doing since he came to Sunderland - stick the ball in the back of the net. Even in defence, he should look to push up the pitch, his presence being a nusiance for them as this will create the space for us to counter attack into.

Subs:

After 70 mins: Elm > Nainnggolan, fresh legs in midfield.
After 75 mins if drawing/losing: Ilicic > Fernandinho; trequarista. Get forwards more and attack. Fresh legs.
After 75 mins if winning: Nordtveit > Fernandinho; move to DM. Play as Anchor Man breaking up the play. Fresh legs.

After 80 mins if winning: Vrsaljko > Uchida

Captain: Benatia
Set Pieces: Ayew
Penalties: Kiessling

If we recieve a red card, same style and replace Fernandinho with a like for like replacement for the man sent off.

Game Plan:
After a hard fought game in midweek there a few changes but nothing major as we look to maintain our league form and bounce back, showing exactly what we can do. We've named an attacking line up as we believe its important to get at our opposition and take the game to them, right from the off attacking their backline. We have a fantastically flexible midfield who will move about working the space and creating the chances whilst they all press as a unit, as theyre used to working hard and closing down in numbers.

Tactics:
Courtois as always commands his area, coming out to collect crosses and relieving pressure on the defence. If there's a chance of a quick counter he gets it forward quickly, if not play it out to the CBs who can start the attack.

We have a back four full of excellent footballers, comfortable on the ball and able to open things up. From goal kicks the Fbs push on with the CBs moving wide to the edge of the areas and one CM dropping deeper, this immediately gives us players in more advanced positions with the 3 left deep and central who can move the ball out from the back.

Defensively the Fbs must get back and show the wingers down the line, not allowing them to cut inside or knock the ball past them and run into the space, they'll close them down quickly, force the wingers into an early decision and then put the tackle in or force them right out wide and put them into an area where they can't hurt us. They are very quick so if the Cbs get caught out the FBs come across to cover and put pressure on the player who's in behind. Offensively they are both excellent, they push forward in support of our wingers stretching the game and giving us another option. Both are adept at making runs on the inside of the wingers or down the outside and we'll look to use this to have some clever link up play to open up space for chances as well as to drag players away from the wingers and give them time and space on the ball. Both are quick and doubling up on the opposition Fbs, we should get a lot of joy.

Marrone and Dante are forming an excellent partnership. Marrone attacks the first ball, looking to read the play and get to the ball before the striker, making lots of interceptions to stop the attacks quickly and put us back on the front foot with his excellent passing. Dante is deeper, reading the play and seeing where the ball is going and what the striker is doing, marking the Cf tightly and not giving him and inch of room to run off him or link up the play, putting strong tackles in and dominating in the air. Both Cbs are excellent passers, we start the attacks from deep through them as they look to get the ball into midfield, or step forward and look for a ball over the top. We especially go for long diagonals towards the wingers to open some space up, attract the opposition defence to one side of the field and leave space through the middle and down the opposite flank.

Ramires and Asamoah form a dynamic midfield duo. They press very quickly, closing the opposition down as they get into our half and making it very difficult to form a rhythm. They work tirelessly, with one stepping forward to press and the other sitting deeper. Offensively they provide a great drive from deep and we want them to take it in turns supporting the attacks, particularly when one wins the ball they can bring it forward at pace and take several of the opposition out of the game quickly. They are both great at making deep runs in behind the defence, playing one twos to get in and they both can keep the ball moving. They'll work hard to keep us on the attack, especially pressing quickly as soon as we lose the ball to stop Wolves breaking at pace.

The next three are interchangeable with free roles to move where they like and get on the ball, linking together to open the opposition back line up. De Bruyne is the heart of the attack, he can drop deep to get the ball and bring it forward, using his excellent passing and dribbling to open things up, or he can move to the wings, linking up and getting crosses in or making his excellently timed run between FB and Cb. He should get forward in support of the striker, using Martinez's movement to find space and make runs off him, as well as playing intricate passing moves to get the striker in. We want him to make late runs into the box too to find space unmarked. Lamela is the more direct of the three with his running, he loves to take people on, be that down the wings or through the middle. We want him to really run at the fB and the heart of the defence, linking up with team mates and making things happen with a clever through ball, a well timed run or the prefect cross. He attacks crosses at the back post. Villa is more about the movement and the link up play. He loves to get involved in the build up, and we particularly want him linking with PVA as they can really hurt wolves down the left. His movement is excellent and he'll find space with ease, making runs into space and supporting Martinez through the middle when he can, linking up with the CF.

Martinez is always on the move, he drags defenders about and finds spaces to make runs on goal as well as any CF in the game. We want him focusing on playing on the shoulder of the two CBs, ready to get on the end of a through ball and attacking crosses, but at times he can drop deeper to get involved and create space for others to make the run.

Subs:

If Winning: Parker for Ramires 70', more defensive in midfield and won't give opposition an inch. Torosidis for Lamela 75', will track back and help Piszczek. Shär for Villa 85', go for a 5-4-1 and close the game out.

If Drawing: Mata for De Bruyne 70', comes on he gets hold of the game as he always does and he makes things happen. Cavani for Martinez 75', same as Mata he shows his quality and brings us the winner. Hernandez for Villa 80', 4-4-2 last ten minutes, Hernandez using his movement to poach a goal.

If Losing: Mata and Cavani on, Piszczek and Martinez off 70' - 3-5-2 with Cavani and Villa through the middle, Lamela and Asamoah on the wing positions. Hernandez for De Bruyne 75':

Courtois
Marrone Dante PvA

Defence: Licht and Adriano are very very good at attacking, so must look to go for Oppo's FB, and get down the flanks and offer support to Isla and Coutinho. Thye must not neglect defensive duties, whilst Cirigliano and Rakitic must cover for their FB's, if they go too advanced. In the centre, Kirchoff and Astori are a very solid partnership, with one relying on speed and sharpness, the other relying on quick thinking and aerial ability. They must track the CF without giving away silly fouls, and must also look to clear the ball away, and both are very good with their feet, so must look to play the ball out of defence is possible, and knock it long if they are under too much pressure. No silly back passes or mistakes must be made, but Astori mustn't be afraid of stepping into midfield where he can utilise his brilliant passing ability.

In midfield, Cirigliano is the brilliant young DM that is a brilliant passer and one of the best tacklers around. He must look to always stop the AM in their tracks, as well as spraying the ball into the forward areas. He is like our Busquets, as his passing is almost like that of a deep lying playmaker, long or short, whilst he never neglects defensive duties, so must get stuck into the Norwich players. Alongside him, Rakitic is having a wonderful season, and he will be playing the dictator role. Hacing scored twice yesterday, Rakitic must pull of those stunning passes that see him cut open defences, and must supply the front 3 with deadly balls. His passing is that of a typical La Liga CM-with the ability to go long or short, he must control the tempo of our play. Ahead of these two CM's, we have Isla, Hermann and Coutinho. We plan on giving Patrick Hermann a free role in behind Damiao, as whilst he rarely plays there, I believe he is good enough for that role, as he is very fast, and extremely good at taking on his man, using short bursts of pace to get around players, and his crossing is very good too, and must look to send in through balls for Dmiao to take into his stride. He must always give Damiao support so he isn't isolated. To his right, Isla is a very good RM,but he will be playing slightly more advanced, with the hope that Licht can cover ground to give him great support down the right flank. Isla is a great passer, with brilliant vision, so must look to pass the ball around, and offer quality crosses for the likes of Damiao. On the other side, Coutinho has the magic that all Brazilians (Apart from Denilson) were born with. Two gifted feet and a great eye for a pass, little Coutinho must take on his man and beat him every time, whilst also giving those dream passes, flicking them into Hermann or Damiao's path. He must cut inside, giving plenty of space for Adriano to run wild in, whilst causing lots of problems for Opponents back line.

Up front, Leandro Damiao is the CF. He must control every ball, using his powerful physique to shield the ball from defenders and hold the ball up for the rest of our attackers. His movement is brilliant, so he must look to reach every ball, and attack every loose ball in and around the box. He is a real finisher too, so must combine his knack of scoring goals with his fantastic attitude to try and find some precious goals for Our team.

Subs: On 60mins: Vucinic > Isla, Herrmann goes RW, Vucinic goes up front with Damiao, 4-4-2.

On 65mins: Kovacic > Rakitic, really powerful presence, gets stuck in, and offers great drive at times.

Banega > Cirigliano, offers flair, and replaces the job of Valero

Chelsea - Champions League

--------------------- Neuer --------------------
Van Rhijn - Chedjou - Subotic - Nagatomo
-------------- Khedira - A.Vidal --------------
J.Navas -------- Mkhitaryan -------- Gaitan
-------------------- Benteke -------------------

Baumann, Lahm, Dragovic, Bender, Moura, Neymar, Aguero

Neuer, is a top keeper very confident and will dominate the area and come out for all high balls clearing what he cant punch. Look to close down strikers by quickly coming off his line to shut down there shooting angles.

A back four with Rhijn and new signing Nagatomo coming in at fullback, both solid players who defend their lines very well, keep the wingers quiet, keep them to the outside and away from our danger area. Attack when you can one at a time, support yhe wingers by going on the outside and look for a pass so you can get beyond the fullback and cross in, Or if in possession look to pick out Gaitan or Navas and ping the ball down the line for them to latch onto.

Khedira leads the team out today and he will lead by example in his defensive role. He watches the AM, watch his movement and be there quick to stop him setting up attacks, break the play up between him and the striker to nulify there attacking threat. Always on his toes as the AM will be good so we cant afford to let him dictate play. Vidal comes in alongside, and will look to stamp his authority on this game early, Has great vision so will want to get his passing range in early to set the likes of Mkhitaryan, Gaitan and Benteke up for many chances, he will always follow his pass and make himself available for a return ball. Can shoot from range so have a go. When they have sit alongside Khedira and help him break up their attacks. His workrate is tremendous and will never give up a lost cause.

Mkhitaryan is in the free role, his attacking prowess is fantastic, will make late runs into the box and has tremendous vision. His inventiveness with his little flicks & dribbling skills are super too, but the best part is he knows where the net is. So will look to support Benteke as much as possible, Also use Navas and Gaitan for one twos to break the line of defence. Gaitan is on the left, , will look to drive at the fb, causing him all sorts of problems, cut in off his left and shoot with his right, or lay off to Mkhit for Benteke to dart into the box for the return. Otherwise look to take on the fullback get to the bye line and cross in for Benteke in the box. Will look to form a quick uinder standing with Nagatomo. Navas will use his pace to get him passed his marker, knock it forward and use the forward momentum to get by the player and cross in, will do this all day long so Benteke will thrive of this. At times Gaitan and Navas will be supported by our fullbacks so use them, either play it wide for them o r allow them to take the markers away to free up space to drive into. I want all 3 attacking mids to track back and stopp there fullbacks and DMS getting forward and becoming a nuisance.

Benteke will love it today, should get plenty of service from those around him so use his power to get in and onto the crosses coming in or balls through the middle. has beaten the biggest defenders for powers so will shrug off his marker like he isnt there to get into dangerous positions to go for goal. If he cant and is well marked at times, then look to knock down or lay off to those coming in supporting. Always the target for corners and freekicks as more than most he will win anything in the air..

Mallo---Hangeland---Douglas---Sandro
-------------------Essien------------------
R.Sterling---Diego---Monty---Markovic
------------------Negredo-----------------

Ortola, Dede, Osman, Jese, Morata, Berbatov, Berrada

A big away game and really nothing to fear..Newcastle a top team but if we play the way we can then you never know. Set up in a 4-1-4-1 formation we will look to conmtain the miodfield with our experienced trio and solid CBs and look to the youthful, enthusiastic wide players to kill them off..

Vorm has proved himself to be a top keeper, with cat like reflexes he is difficult to beat even from close range, he is very quick off his line so close down the forwards and be brave..Out for high balls and punch clear what he cant catch. Look to roll out to the fbs or throws to the wingers to get the team going forward.

The very experience Hangeland leads the back line and keeps the young fullbacks right. Will look to form a quick understanding with Douglas as the two look to form a relationship for the rest of the season. Big and powerful wont be out muscled by anyone and deceptively quick also for a big man, wont giveanyone coming forward an easy game. Douglas being the quicker of the two will watch the CF, again a powerful CB so will look to bully him out of the game, stay close and alwyas watch his movement even when we attack as quick breaks can happen so easily, so he cant afford to switch off. Stay focussed..The two will be no nonsense today, clear out any ball coming through wether its on the deck or in the air.
Sandro and Mallo are two attack minded fullbacks, will get up and support the wingers whenever they can, passing and moving to the outside screaming for a return ball to get beyond there fullbacks and cross in. A lot will start with these two, so use their speed to get up and down the pitch, cross from deep if Negredo is on his toes to get him in on goal, only ONE however we stress can attack at any given time. Defending, pace wont be a problem so match the wingers, stay up right and force them wide, nothing silly..

Essien is my tiger in the middle, wont stray to far from the CBs as he holds the midfield together. Watching there AM/playmaker, get onto him quickly and stop him dictating play, if he is playing about in there own half let him but watch him like a hawk and as soon as he is iinto our half be ontyo him very quickly, make him know you are there, hard but fair. If in possession of the ball nice, simple passes to those around him.
Monty leads the team out and together with Diego will try and run this game, he plays the ball about with ease allowing Diego to break forward and support Negredo. Picking the ball up from deep he will look to get it out to the wingers or indeed the fullbacks as they attack. Always goes looking for the ball and alot will go through him. His vision is tremendous so can pick someone out very easily, looking for Diegos forward runs into the box or if Negredo is in space look to play the two in on goal. Diego is the one that will support Negredo most, willmove forward when we have and look to recieve it early from Monty, another good passer so pass and move with the wingers/fullbacks, always making himself available for one-twos to break the lines of defence, The pair will support Essien when they have and harray and harrass their midfielders into loose passing and silly mistakes.
Sterling and Markovic start out wide and with the two quick fullbacks the four should threaten newcastles back line, direct runners will go at the fullbacks outside or in use pace and skill to get beyoond them and cross in, if Mallo or Sandro are supporting then as the go by use them or not let them take the fullbacks away to free up more s[pace to attack.Negredo and Diego will be there so quick one touch passing and get them in on goal..

A solid bank of four in front of Essien, stay solid when they attack and be ready to counter with pace.

Negredo a great striker to aim for, will get loads of support when we attack, look to always be on his toes ready to pounce on any mistake. Leads the line well and brings others into the game well if he is unable to go himself, shoot on sight as we must take our chances when they come our way. Always on the last man but move about taking his marker out of position freeing up room for the wingers and Diego in particular to move into

Captain - Montolivio

Corners:- Wingers

Subs:-
Losing:-
70 Mins - Morata & Jese > Sterling & Markovic more 4-2-3-1

Winning:-
70 Mins - Osman > Diego - more energy v a new midfielder for Newcastle maybe
80 Mins - Dede > Sterling move to CB at create a massive wall for them to get passed, Osman out right(if we go behind then stick Dede up front 4-4-2)

We have gone for a fresh team, with plenty of pace. We have gone with a very strong central midfield 3, as this is where we can win the game. This is a tournament we really want to win this year, and winning this match will be key to ensuring progress to the next round. We shouldn't have to bring on the big boys from the bench, but if needs must.

We will look to start the game quickly playing direct and play with plenty of pace going forward. Defending in numbers, getting 10 men behind the ball where possible. Also breaking in numbers. As the game goes on we will look to win the midfield battle and control possession, this will be difficult away to a strong Wolves side but we are confident we can pin their full backs deep and wide with our wingers creating space in the middle. With the pace we have up top they will either sit deep and invite pressure, or simply pay the price when we get the ball in behind them.

Key to our game will be width. Both full backs have license to bomb forward. Lucas will be very defensive, dropping to almost a back three with Pirlo just in front looking to control the game from deep.

Hamsik’s debut ended sourly after he was subbed after 30 mins for tactics following the sending off at the weekend. We have been on a bad run of form and really need to turn things around and build momentum. We want him supporting Eto’o all the time, Eto’o naturally likes to run the channels and this will make it difficult for Wolves to pick up our midfield 3 and full backs bombing forward.

The only player in the side who hasn’t been around the first team is Kelly, playing in an experienced back line we are giving him a chance to prove himself and fight for contention.

The attacking midfield trio have freedom going forward. As long as they get back and behind the ball when defending they are free to switch positions when we are attacking.

Width. Start fast/direct. Win the midfield battle. Get our players with pace in behind/running at Wolves. Defend in numbers.

Player Roles
Cesar – Knows the score.

Filipe and Abate – Have the ability to get up and down the park all day long. Both attacking today. Abate got something to prove after losing his 1st Xi spot to Rafael.
Kelly and Albiol. Albiol to read the play and Kelly to go and challenge. Both are comfortable on the ball. Look to play it to Pirlo or the full backs where possible.
Lucas – Get busy.
Pirlo – Dictate play.
Hamsik – Be eveywhere.
Ox – Quickest feet in North London.
A.Young – Use your pace. Take your man on.
Eto’o – Loves European competitions, get on the ball, get in behind, get on the ball and get the ball in behind, magic!
Front four have freedom when we are in possession, find space, get the ball and let them play their natural game.

Subs. If drawing or winning after 70 mins bring on Shaqiri for Hamsik. Ox through the middle.
If losing, drawing or winning after 75 mins bring on Gerard for Pirlo. More solid option, giving us greater drive.
If losing after 65 mins bring on Reus for Young and Dzeko for Ox. Eto’o playing right forward. Reus on the left, Dzeko up top. PRESSURE!
If losing after 75 mins bring on Pepe for Lucas. Greater pace, drive and physicality in the middle of the park.
If winning or drawing after 82 mins bring on Campana for Hamsik. Bring a bit of composed play to our game.
If a red card, sub if need be to play a 4-4-1.

---------------Cirigliano------------
-----------Banega---Rakitic--------

-----------------Vucinic-------------

Astori, Otamendi, Kovacic, Cerci, Borja, Damiao, Klose

Back 4 well marshalled by Stek, the big keeper will easily gather high balls and look to release the wide players quickly, come out to meet strikers and shut them down.

Back 4 must stay alert, Sakho picks up the CF and sticks closly by him watching his every move, Kirchoof will look to dominate in the air and get rid of all high balls, stay tight together and do not allow Lewandowski the time of day
Licht and Adriano like to attack the flanks but one at a time get down and support the wingers by getting on the outside and taking there fullbacks away to free up some space. Solid defenders so keep the wingers at bay and keep them to the outside away from the danger area,

Cirigliano will patrol the area justy in front of the defence, not venturing to far keep the AM out of sight, quicklly on top forcing him into mistakes, when he has the ball simple passes to those around him. Banega is the playmaker will pick oout the ofrwards with ease and look for Rakitic making forward runs to play him through, will helop defend by sitting deep when they attack. Rakitic will be forward thinking and look to at times get beyond Vucinic with well time runs looking for his flick on. Will go out left at times allowing Coutinho to cut inside causing confusion in the Pompey defence. All theee work as a unit whhen defending.
The wingers have freedom to attack today get at the fullbacks and get the ball into the middle, use the midfielders to play quick opne twos to get thwem in behind the defence, quick and skillful and good at one on one situations look to really pressurize the fullbacks into fouls and silly tackles in dangerous areas. Track their fullbacks when they come forwrd
Vucinic leads the line well, holds the ball up well and brings others into the game, he and Rakitic must come to a quick understanding and the two will at times interchange to move there CB out of position and free up room for others, shoot on site..

------------------------Osvaldo
Subs
Cech, Juanfran, Agger, Inler, Ribery, Dembele, Sow

Tactics
A 4-2-3-1 formation focused on retaining possession and covering the back 4

Keeper
When distributing the ball, he should look to keep it simple and play the percentage pass. At crosses and set pieces, should look to punch rather than attempt any catches with an element of risk.

Full Backs
Mario stays back at all times to ensure there is at least a back 3 there to stop any counter attacks, Clichy has a more attacking game because Payet will be cutting inside so there will be space for him to try and get into.

Centre Backs
Skrtel will compete for the aerial balls, and De Vrij will look to collect the 2nd ball, when the ball is on the floor, the onus is more on blocks than tackles. When on the ball, if the opposition are giving them space to come out with the ball, then they can take it forward, if not, just look to play it simple to a man in space and keep possession.

Defensive Midfielder
Denisov will look to just sit in front of the back 4, looking to cover the full backs when they go forward. and when we are defending, when on the ball, he will just play it simply to a man in space. Obiang will play an energetic game, looking to put himself about in the middle third of the pitch and harass the opposition midfielders. When he is on the ball, he will be the more adventurous of the 2, and looking to take the ball on himself or passing it to others.

Wingers
They should look to stay as wide as possible when they receive the ball to try and stretch the defensive line. When on the ball, Payet would look to cut inside on his stronger foot and try to drag the RB inside to give a bit of space for Clichy to get a cross in or take on the shot himself whilst Lennon will look too hug the touchline and get into races with the LB.

AM
Ljajic will be playing just off Ossy looking to get into space between the defence and midfield, looking to get into space to receive the ball, when hes on the ball, he will look to run at the cbs, and if one comes out to him, that should create a bit of extra space for Ossy to get into which can be used as the supply ball or Ljajic can take on the shot himself

Set Pieces
Corners - Payet take in swinging corners, the 2 CB's and Mario go into the box, Denisov, Lennon and Schmelzer stay back to prevent counters, the CB's, Mario, Ossy and Ljajic attack the ball, Obiang takes a position just outside the box to pick up any weak defensive headers or knockdowns.

Free Kicks - For direct FK's Ljajic will shoot if in a suitable position. For Indirect FKs, follow the same directives for Corners

Penalties - Osvaldo is the designated taker.

Subs

If Winning
68 mins - Inler for Ljalic - Inler goes to DM alongside Denisov, Obiang in front of the 2, we shore the game up defensively, with Obiang looking to hustle the opposition midfielders, and focus on counter attacks

76 mins - Agger and Juanfran for De Vrij and Lennon - Shore up the game defensively.

If Losing
72 mins - Juanfran for Mario - get a more attacking RB on.

80 mins - Ribery and Sow for Payet and Ljajic - All out attack, get the ball in the box to the front 2, the full backs are pushed forward and Cech acts as a sweeper-keeper.

A tough game v Wolves but we must take the game to them, free flowing football, fast passing and really go dfor it, almost full strength with bender coming in for the rested Khedira, Howedes coming in to stamp his authority to become Kompanys CB partner and Moura in for his full debut..

Neuer, is a top keeper very confident and will dominate the area and come out for all high balls clearing what he cant punch. Look to close down strikers by quickly coming off his line to shut down there shooting angles.

A back four with Lahm and new signing Baines coming back in at fullback, both solid players who defend their lines very well, keep the wingers quiet, keep them to the outside and away from our danger area. Attack when you can one at a time, support yhe wingers by going on the outside and look for a pass so you can get beyond the fullback and cross in, Or if in possession look to pick out Moura and Neymar and ping the ball down the line for them to latch onto.
First and foremost, Howedes has the responsibility to mark striker out of the game. This he does exceptionally well, using foresight and intelligence to keep him quiet. He rarely has to make a rash tackle, so watch the lads movwement and be ready to move in. When the ball comes towards a striker and Howedes is in the area to defend, Subotic moves into position to back up his teammate and fill in any gap that is left. If an opposing attacker makes a run in the centre, reacting to a ball played towards the striker Howedes is covering, Subotic shifts to defend against a potential pass.
If the striker gets away from Howedes it's the responsibility of Subotic to shift and defend directly. Both comfortable with ball at feet so move the ball out when in no danger, otherwise clear it with no messing about.

Benderis the DM today. He watches the AM, watch his movement and be there quick to stop him setting up attacks, break the play up between him and the striker to nulify there attacking threat. Always on his toes as the AM will be good so we cant afford to let him dictate play. Vidal alongside, and will look to stamp his authority on this game early, Has great vision so will want to get his passing range in early to set the likes of Lucas, Cesc and Neymar up for many chances, and get them free into space, he will always follow his pass and make himself available for a return ball. Can shoot from range so have a go. When they have sit alongside Bender and help him break up their attacks. His workrate is tremendous and will never give up a lost cause.

Fabregas is in the free role, his attacking prowess is fantastic, will make late runs into the box and has tremendous vision. His inventiveness with his little flicks & dribbling skills are super too, but the best part is he knows where the net is. So will look to support Aguero as much as possible, sometimes making runs beyond him to get in on goal. Also use Lucas and Neymar for one twos to break the line of defence. Neymar is on the left, will look to drive at the fb, causing him all sorts of problems, cut in off his left and shoot with his right, or lay off to Cesc or Aguero to dart into the box for the return. Otherwise look to take on the fullback get to the bye line and cross into the box.Has a great understanding with Baines so will be looking for him on the outside. Moura will use his pace to get him passed his marker, knock it forward and use the forward momentum to get by the player and cross in, will do this all day long so Aguero will thrive on the support he will get from the two wingers. At times Neymar and Moura will be supported by our fullbacks so use them, either play it wide for them or allow them to take the markers away to free up space to drive into. I want all 3 attacking mids to track back and stopp there fullbacks and DMS getting forward and becoming a nuisance.

Aguero will get plenty of service from those around him so use his speed and prowess to get in and onto the crosses coming in or balls through the middle. With a low centre of gravity he is difficult to shrug off so his marker wont like going up against him, will look to get into dangerous positions to go for goal. If he cant and is well marked at times, then look to knock down or lay off to those coming in supporting.

Howedes and Subotic both come up for corners to use there power and height, Bender will sit back with the fullbacks and Vidal just on halfway.

Captain:- Lahm
Corners:- Wingers
Penalties:- Aguero
Free Kicks:- Cesc - Centre, Neymar, Lucas out wide

Subs:-
Losing/drawing

65 Mins:- El Shaawaray > Moura - El Shaawary LW, Neymar RW to shuffle it up a bit
70 Mins:- Benteke > Bender - Cesc drops back, Vidal becomes man marker, Aguero behind Benteke
80 Mins:- Mkhitaryan > Neymar - Aguero RW, Mkhit AM

Winning:-
70 Mins - Khedira > Bender - fresh legs v a new AM possibly
80 Mins - Benteke > Moura - Aguero RW, Benteke CF
85 Mins - El Shaawary > Neymar

Reds - Always 4-2-3 - the 3 are always looking for goals with Aguero and Neymar out wide and Cesc driving forward, unless its Neymar then Aguero goes left and Moura stays on

Lucas comes off for a replacement

FB - Nagatomo

Hart is a vocal keeper and will command his back line.
Jagielka will mark QPRs main striker while Tomkins will sweep away any loose balls in the box.
Iraola and Monreal have the licence to go forward and support the attack when necessary
M’Vila will break up play .he is the enforcer in midfield, Cabeye will act as the play maker with good distribution of the ball making the team tick. The French duo will work great together.
Ben Arfa and Lamah will as always attack the full backs with great pace and dribbling, whipping balls into the box
Ben Arfa is going to cut inside and taking a shot when necessart so he don’t become predictable.
Michu is lethal in the air and had good control of the ball. He will play behind Ba, playing him through or taking a shot from his knockdowns
Ba will use his strength and pace to bully the QPR defence. He will hold the ball up if he has little support to bring other into play. Goalscorer.

We line up in a 4-4-2 in a must win game where we cannot afford to drop any points. We also look to make the most of our squad. Play attacking football, take nothing for granted. Pass the ball quick and don’t be afraid to go long to Gignac, with Higuain feeding off him, this could prove to be a good partnership. Higuain will run the channels, mainly the left channel as he starts on the left side, Valbuena doesn’t provide much width but we have Kolarov and Higuain on that side to give us width. When defending, defend solidly, Mikel always sitting in. Attack the Norwich defence with force, Gignac and Higuain should be too much for their CB’s and Walcott should have the better of Mallo. Also their wingers aren’t known for defensive duties.

Ivanovic & Kolarov must not give the Opposition wingers any time on the ball. If the opportunity presents then they should attack. If one of the full back attacks then the other one MUST stay back so we have 3 defenders back at all times along with Mikel.

Boateng and Godin, A good mix of power, pace, aerial ability and composure on the ball, allows us to be commanding at the back and limit the amount of opportunities for the opposition. Boateng will control the back four and make sure everybody is doing their job correctly by using his excellent leadership skills. Boateng and Godin will stay close to each other not allowing NORWICH to open up space.

Koke partners him and he will be the attacking midfielder.

Higuain will play in an ‘advanced forward’ role. By this it means they will make dangerous runs in behind, and hold the ball up as well as various other things. They must be patient and wait for chances and when they do come they must finish them. A lot of movement is required from them also; keep the opposition defenders on their toes! He will attack the channels also and use his excellent crossing ability, especially the drilled cross.
If losing70mins - Oscar > Godin 3-5-2
If Drawing 70mins - ^^
If winning 70mins – Higuain > Mijailovic, Koke >djuricic 4-2-3-1
If Keeper gets sent off then AM comes off for keeper on bench
In this case: Gignac > Al Habsi 4-4-1
If Defender gets sent off then AM comes off for Defender on bench
In this case: Gignac > Zabaleta/ Marquinhos. Zabaleta can play LB also 4-4-1
If DM gets sent off (Mikel/De Jong) then AM for DM on bench
In this case: Gignac > Oscar
If st gets sent off, the AM for St on bench
In this case: nothing
