I thought Barca were pretty insipid to be honest.

But 2-0 is still a great result. Tie over now.

Sure Barca won. Demichellis? What more can one say?

But i found Barca very underwhelming actually. Even with a man down, City carved out a good number of openings.

Fabregas never should have stayed on the pitch. He was very poor today.

But at 2-0 I'd say it's game over as I cannot see City scoring 3 in the Nou Camp.

Silva was excellent. Why Demichellis plays ( or was even bought in the first place) is beyond me. Awful player.

Yeah Iniesta lacked cutting edge but was still better than Fabregas, in my opinion. I thought Fabregas broke down quite a lot of attacks by losing the ball.

He should have come off for Pedro so they had more balance and had a more direct threat from the wing.

I think they paid them too much respect in that they didn't seem to want to attack them as much as they could have for fear of being caught on the counter.

Doesn't matter, though. 2-0 is a great result and has effectively ended the tie. I was just underwhelmed by the attacking threat of Barca and City as they are both much better than what we saw tonight.

In Demichellis' defence, I thought he was playing well up until the sending off. He is a liability, though, and his sending off proves that.

Demichellis played well? It depends on what you mean by 'well'.

He tracked his runners well initially and was a nuisance but nearly every ball he won, he hoofed or ceded possession easily. At any level, that is poor. On this level, it is abysmal.

A case could be made for Demichellis being the worst defender in the PL since Winston Bogarde

Hmm, I think you are being overly harsh on him tonight. Don't get my wrong, I don't think he's any good, but today I do think he played well until he undid all that good work by getting sent off.

I was disappointed with Barcelona tonight. Up until that moment of madness they did not seem to offer very much, had City started at a tempo then the outcome may have been different. Having said that Barcelona did their job and the second goal kills the tie.
