I think what's important for them now is getting the points. They will find their flow sooner or later. I still haven't watched a single Madrid game though

Good la liga podcast from Sid Lowe, "The Spanish Football Podcast"

Afternoon WP!

Yep, just seems a bit up in the air at the minute. It'll be between the,m and Barca, my indication Barca, then a gap to Atleti, then a gap to everyone else.

Kagawa didn't play. He doesn't really suit our style of football. Rooney player in the whole, which is Kagawa's best position, and ran around loads, made some tackles, kept giving the ball away and made some good passes out to the wing and people said he was class and motm.

Apparently this makes him creative as well. People complain we lack creativity and then label Wayne Rooney a creative player.

Kagawa should probably leave if Rooney stays as it'll be hard for him to achieve his potential here otherwise.

Darren
Use that phone number Moyes gave you and call him to pursuade him to send him down to The Emirates

I think it's too early to tell who will win la liga. I have no clue really. I do have a feeling Atleti will be a lot closer this year though.

Only if we can have Cazorla in exchange?

Eer then go ahead and just tear up that napkin with the phone number

I love Cazorla. He's suit us better than Kagawa as he's more of an individual. Kagawa relies too much on the team, which is understandable given his style, and why I don't think we've seen the best from him.

Shame really as I'm a big fan. Hopefully he can step up this season and get regularly game time.

If he doesn't I've a feeling he'll end up back at Dortmund.

You can never have Cazorla though. Kagawa is a top player though. I saw him tear Italy a new one at the Confed cup and couldn't quite make out why he isn't first choice at Utd. I also think he will be back at Dortmund next year.

It's a strange one. He hasn't quite adapted to the team and league. He was starting to get a run of games coming up to Xmas and then got injured and didn't really get a run in the team after that.

Fergie just loves rotating. We haven't had a starting 11 for years. Only a few of our players play regularly. It's no coincidence they are our best performers.

If he does go back to Dortmund I'd hope we can try and use him as a bargaining tool for one of the players they have that would suit us. Reus or Gundogan preferably. I don't think they rely on Dortmund's system as much as Kagawa does. Reus really strikes me as a player that would excel in any team. Massive fan of the fella.

I thought City would have went for Cazorla.

Navas is great, but he was made to look bad by Zabaleta.

Cazorla had Capdevilla making the run forward, allowing Caz to come inside at times and make things happen.

Reus is TOP quality! I heard Klopp call him a bargain for 17m when they signed him and was like wtf! He is worth at least 40m now in today's market. Really hope you don't get him.

Henrik
I prefer Cazorla playing centrally for us. He is much more effective there than wide cutting in although I think that has a lot to do with Wilshere than anything else.

Agree, WUM. If there's one winger I could have at United it'd be him. Even over Bale. I rate him higher.

Wum.

Pellegrini doesn't play with fixed wingers- so that's why the likes of Cazorla and Silva work because they instinctively come central.

I think Fernandinho may struggle with the 4-2-2-2 system.

I refuse to see Reus as a bargain as the daft buggers got rid of him in 2006 then bought him back for 17m!

Saying that he is a damn good player.

Yeah I don't think Atleti will be far behind but the gulf in quality between the big 2 and the rest of the league is massive thanks to the disfigured TV money sharing. Atleti are the only team even capable of contemplating thinking about considering to attempt bridging that. They'll be closer than usual to RM IMO.

Hi Saint. My condolences.

Darren, is saying that Rooney plays in the whole a new way of saying he tracks back?

Enjoyed that podcast Kenty, lightened up my working afternoon a bit. Ta.

Nah, he plays in the hole he's just not very creative.

He'll score goals but the football won't be attractive. It's why I wouldn't mind if he was sold. He's a good player and a good goal scorer but he's so boring to watch.

You didn't enjoy the way Madrid played but still won under Mourinho so I'm sure you understand my problem?
