I was actually surprised at how little Athletic played him but they do have quite some riches there don't they? They would sell for around 10-12m but with the champions league they would want to keep him for some depth.

I used to have a hard-on for this guy but for all the 'exceptional promise', he really has not kicked on at all.

Bielsa's last season was a disaster for everyone at Athletic I think. It is still a little too early to label him a disaster. He will eventually regain some form.

Atleti should return Villa to where he belongs too! I don't think I have seen a player get so much goodwill when he leaves his club like when Villa went to Barca. He really is a Valencia legend.

Not really sure about that. He really doesn't have the temperament of a professional footballer. I remember his best game in a Valencia shirt, in the game right after Madrid were beaten 6-2 by Barca. He and Baraja absolutely tore Madrid apart! He was absolutely brilliant! I really thought we had a star then. What has he done since then apart from having issue after issue? Absolutely nothing. Take him, take him now!

The Sevilla sporting director has really worked his magic again over the past 2 years don't you think? They really were heading down the table last summer with their debts but they have miraculously turned it around. Too bad they are selling Moreno for 20m to Liverpool although they have always been a selling club so no surprise there.

He did, albeit indirectly! His "hero of the year" goes to Esteban for deciding to leave Almería to go and play for Oviedo.

I don't think he's Barça biased though peks. I think it's just that, like most neutrals, he was enamoured with the football Barça played for a few years.
