Just seen Vieira's comments on the France national team. While he may be right, don't you think it is really stupid to come out with stuff like that when the world cup is only a few days to go instead of waiting until after? He is just creating some unnecessary tension in that team at the wrong time.

Also, Keita (I have never rated him anyway) is one hell of an ungrateful çunt! After bringing him back from the abyss he repays Valencia by ditching them 6 months later.

He is actually pretty bad. In the six months at club, Fede, Piatti, Bernat have more tackles and interceptions than Keita. He is well behind in terms of passing as well. Gabi passes nearly 60 times a game for Atletico. Keita passes around 33, or half of what Gabi does. Like I said, I have never rated him.

Exactly.

They just sprinkle a few 'left-wing' social policies about (laws on divorce, abortion, raise minimum wages or minimum pensions) to disguise their neo-con economic policies. They legislate for the country's wealthy - lowering taxes, passing liberal labour laws, deregulating markets, privatising public services, etc., etc., etc. - just as much as any openly right-wing government, and then go on to hold posts on the BoDs of Spain's largest banks and transnational corporations.

Villarreal are back from China- holidays are now beginning, let's hope we hear some news about signings! I see Atlético have signed the Getafe goalkeeper, not sure if that gives us much hope in retaining Asenjo or not!

Not much transfer news for us so far, a few snippets:

No English version
Do you see you guys keeping Asenjo Henrik? Courtois is almost certain to return to Chelsea this year.

posted on 4/6/14

I am not sure, but then again he went on the tour to China, so the club must be confident of striking some sort of deal with Atlético. I agree that Courtois will most definitely be gone. There is also interest in our other goalkeeper Juan Carlos from Real Sociedad amid reports that Claudio Bravo will join Barcelona! It's a transfer merry-go-round with La Liga goalkeepers according to the media!

Mow that Diego Cosra is ont he brink of joinin Chelsea.

Atletico should now step up their pursuit for Alvaro Negredo. He would be the perfect replacement.

yer i think negredo would be a good replacement for atleti

I wonder what it was about Costa that made the Arsenal scouts not recommend him to Arsene. I guess we will find out.

I really don't have any hope on any of the teams. Ghana would have stood a better chance in a better group but I don't see them going through the group stages. Cameroon don't have a chance in hell in that group and will most likely lose all their games. Ivory Coast will bottle it as usual, no doubt there. Nigeria and Algeria have the best chance of making something out of the tournament. I still weep to this day that the great Egyptian team of the early 00s never qualified for the world cup. That team would have held their own against most teams in the world IMO.

So, Cesc's off....but where? I'm not totally convinced yet that he's off to Chelsea. A number of clubs could do with him.

The mere thought upsets me to no end! Not really in the best moods today because of that thought. I am still not convinced it is a done deal as some people here think, but I have a really bad feeling about it and I am expecting the worst.

I do not think the Chelsea move would have seemed so far fetched if it was Benitez or Ancelotti in charge, but Mourinho?

Hmm, does raise an eyebrow that, but stranger things happen.
