Liked the dig, "great success at all his clubs.....baring the Saints"
QPR looked 'sharp' going forward against the Owls !
Essential not to go behind against this lot I'd say...
Hunt.
Still maintain he ain't no full back....Never was, Where ever he goes, He'll be utilized better then he has been at htfc-inc.
Tough game. A draw will be a good point for Shudders at this stage, as I think QPR will be one of the stronger teams this season I reckon.
I for One aren't expecting too much too soon.
2-2 QPR coming from behind.

Did QPR qualify for Europe?. Where is Huddersfield, whisch country is it in, whats it famous for?
Beating overrated Championship teams.
Heard an interesting comment on the radio today on 'Talk Sport'. An old Liverpool fan remembered a time in the 60's when Bill Shankley was Town boss. He said that if Town had signed Ian St John when they had already signed Dennis Laws they could have been the team Liverpool were thru the 70's & 80's...
Shankley was quoted as saying "If we'd signed Ian st John, Huddersfield would have been the greatest club in England".
He moaned that we had no ambition, so he left us to join someone else...
Anyway Saturday brings another famous team to God's own country......QPR, famous for, err, erm, well then, er..Getting relegated with the most expensive team outside the top 3 prem teams ever......
I see the man who dean hoyle said was too old to and wouldn't be value for money has just been picked for England . Hahah you couldn't make it up could you .
You all speak English very well
Rodney...you are a plonker.
Myth !
I'm sure Mirf & jacko will also confirm Shanks (at the time) Was also after Big Ron Yates
Along with who was already there at the club, I for one don't think the boast of 'best club in England' wasn't that far off the mark
Years later a similar scenario repeated itself.
Greaves had a cracking side (just promoted) & was crying out for investment, to add to a side containing the likes of Worthington, Poole & Cherry....
Alas.
Lack of ambition by the Board (again )
He had to plod on with what he had,
The rest is History.
I've got a great feeling about this one, two nil to Town!
Yes indeed, we could have been what Liverpool became if our Board had shown a bit of initiative and backed Shankly in his request for the new players. Our attendances were pretty much the same as 2nd division Liverpools' at the time...they were not a 'bigger'club than us then.. as Darn said, the rest is history.
As for Harry and his 'smashed up face' Novak,, you do know he was in a bad car accident where his mate got killed and Harry only just survived ? Don't think making fun of that is quite rate mate, but each to their own I suppose.
Back to the game, and oh joy that after lauding the 3 at the back for a season and more, MR is now using that system...it will take time to get used to, but as I've often said..we waste 4at the back to marker one striker and a load of fresh air while we're short of bodies in midfield ?
Hope to be back for the game, but Robin Hoods Bay is rather nice ....and the NY Moors...

I absolutely did NOT know that Mr Jackson, and would categorically not have written that had I been aware
Loui,
I was moaning to my workmate yesterday when I heard Rickie Lambert got a much deserved call up. What was it....£800,000 we could have had him for?!
I do wonder if Hoyle was asked now whether that was one of his biggest regrets, he'd admit to it?
I was gutted we turned him down at the time as I'd seen him at Rochdale a few times and he just had 'something' about him. It was obvious (Holt was another class act at the Dale who we should have taken a punt on but hey).
If we'd have had Lambert and Rhodes in Lee Clark's full season we'd have p-ssed the league that year. The money Hoyle could have saved himself
Don't want 3 at the back. No problem with the formation in pronciple but Lynch is our stand out centre-back and the other 2 aren't really up to Championship standard - if your playing 3 at the back then a couple of them need to be very mobile.
So it will be 4-4-2 with Gobern returning and the only question will be whether he retains Paterson or plays Clayton in the attacking midfield / supporting striker role.
We won't play 4-4-2 all season IMO, but the 4-2-3-1 could be switched midgame on occasion to a more standard 4-4-2. Playing 3-5-2 against these would be suicide as they have the likes of Hoilett and SWP who would exploit our flanks, so it's back to Robins favourite system for me...
Smithies
Hunt
Clarke
Lynch
Dixon
Hogg
Norwood
Hammill
Clayton

We definitely have a chance if we can get our creative 3 into the game but I've a feeling they'll have too much for us and it will be an away win...
I can't get 2-2 out of my head . No I just can't get it out of my head .
Nice of you to say we've got many stars but Green, Barton, Zamora & Phillips aren't good examples. Barton on a good day maybe but i think he'd be off if the right move came along. Harry's slowly putting his side together but it's not complete yet. Better to play us sooner than later, once his side is in place we'll be very ard to beat. I don't do score predictions but i think there's gonna be a lot of goals, just ope we get more than you.
Positive result against an ex premier league club! Great point earned. 👍
Draw against a team which has subs (for goodness sake) coming on of the calibre of Wright-Phillips and Jermaine Jenas, plus we bossed possession, looking good guys, maybe looking GREAT !
Mr MR (Mister Mister) now with his own team looks a good play by Deano. Maybe some on here can now forget the score draw bore bloke - even if we score drew this time. Don't think on this basis we will be scorebore drawing every single game like the other "fella". Draw but not bore this time.
