If Spurs keep Bale then they will be your main threat to third spot. Unless of course a real quality CM and Rooney plays as of form 2 year ago
That's one solid midfield depth, best in the league imo.
Same stuff they were at the Emirates
--------------
Trophy Dust?
arsenal were linked to capoue for so long.
sandro/dembele/paulinho will displace any of our midfielders imho
Has no goals in it
-----------------------------
but has more goals than utd's tbh
Leagues obviously aren't because we've won 5 out of the last 7 with much the same midfield!
-------------
we have 3 proper midfielders at the club robb, trust me, as things stand that wont be enough.
Spurs are going to be challenging for the title this season!
Soldado, Capoue, Paulinho, Chadli - that's a blood good summer's work.
Too many people on here are obsessed with midfielders.
Yes, they're important but having a better GK, defence and attack always trumps a good midfield alone.
The MOST important thing of all is having a striker who can finish chances and in RVP we have that. Compare him to Adebayor and you'll see why even with Spurs' midfield they lost at home to the likes of Wigan and Norwich.
spurs will have a big say in where the title goes this season.
they will probably take points off of all the top teams at some point.

----------------------------------------------------------------
They said that last season and the season before and the season before.
I'm not saying we shouldn't buy a CM because it's pretty certain that Fellaini is coming in but as long as RVP stays fit and are defence do their job we'll win a ton of games, even with Carrick and Cleverley in CM.
Spurs have Soldado now, one of the best CF's in europe, they dont need to rely on Adebayor anymore
robb,
so you think having carrick, anderson and cleverly as our 3 recognised midfielders is enough??
and when i say recognised i dont mean an ex winger who is nearly 540 and is shít in the middle or a defender.
Spurs have one trophy aim.
And you cant touch it.
Let alone see it
if giggs plays in CM in another Manchester Derby i will burst into tears
That is the difference a manager makes, to what type of players a club signs. I doubt Harry would have been able to get those players in. I know he got VDV in but that was more of a Levy cut price special than Harry's work. He prefers his English players and his knowledge wouldnt have been that great of players abroad. AVB and Baldini working together seem to expanding their searchnet. Bear in the mind though, some of them could flop horribly.

For anyone reading this who thinks I don't want a CM, I do. You all know how much I want Fellaini.
But if none came in then yeah, we could win the league with those 3. Absolutely.
lmao. They play 3 so they should have 6 midfielders. We play 2 at once so we should need 4. As long as giggs aint going no were we 4.
Btw stop looking at them with envy. They still needed bale drifting into midfield to give them any potency. The goal chances created by them is much more limited than ours.
Also, unless their manager expands their style of play, they are going to be the team tat just crowds up the midfield with not real outlet, which I guess many people like. If fact I will say they do not have a manager who can use the players he has. He was so overreliant on spectacular goals from bale to get results. They could not create simple chances or goals. Not yet envious of them, yet. lets see what they do this year.
robb,
thats the point, as it stands we will not win the league because our midfield is weak in terms of numbers.
it doesnt matter how good other areas are if the opposition is walking through your midfield.
Cleverley.................
Cleverley.................

i see the góóns havent improved
Robb your stupidity when it comes to transfer policy makes me sick.
If we did win the league with generally bad midfielders, that is a reflection on the poor quality of the league, not on the strength of our midfield. We are found out against the big teams and even teams mediocre by their own league's standards (see bilbao). We WILL NOT be winning the champions league until we strengthen considerably, and Fellaini just isn't good enough to be the answer on his own. You have the right unambitious, small time club mentality to support Arsenal.

We have the same midfield as last season but this year it appears that Anderson will actually play a lot of games so in a way we've improved.
The other sides haven't really improved this year have they? Chelsea most certainly haven't unless people think Van Ginkel is the next Viera and City have bought fairly well but none of those players are proven in England and may well bomb.
What we have is a red hot striker in RVP who will score at least 30 goals this season and a very good defence who even if just half of them stay fit we'll do well.
Dunc, I admit, part of you was correct when it came to a couple of baffling decisions by Sir Alex last season but Moyes will no doubt look at those and find ways to improve just as you or I would if we took over the squad.
Would I like signings? Yes. Do I think signings will be made? Yes.
Do I think if no signings came in that the squad we have now could win the league if it was managed even 10% better? Yes.
i see the góóns havent improved.

Rob, our strikers bailed us out when we were generally struggling to hold onto a game, if we had a midfield that could control a game and not get overrun, the strikers would score even more.
