Chelsea away the ref bailed us out. City at home, spurs at home (first half) and away Chelsea in both the fa cup ties and Madrid in the first and arguably the second leg. All games where we were overrun. As for me backtracking, I'll only do so if our midfield next season wins us the CL with Fellaini as the only addition.
If Sandro had been fit last season, I reckon Arsenal would be looking at Thursday night football this season. Parker was a p1ss poor replacement. I hate Spurs, but even I admire the way AVB sets his teams out.
KSB, jog on. His about the United midfield

Even with Fellaini AND Fabregas we wouldn't win the CL next season so you expect too much.
The City game at home wasn't a massive game for us because we always traditionally take our foot off the pedal when we win the league.
As for Chelsea, I seem to remember going there in the league cup with a reserve team (and Giggs, Anderson and Flecher in CM) and dominating a strong Chelsea side.

The Derby is ALWAYS a massive game, and we hadnt even won the league by then anyway, Giggs is CM was a disaster AGAIN, fúcking fancy back heels halfway inside his own half cost us the first goal
We should be aiming to win the CL every season, as should all clubs of our pedigree. I believe Fabregas and Fellaini (someone better would still be preferable) together would strengthen us enough to be in with a great chance of winning the CL, provided we keep rooney.

So you really think had we NEEDED to win that game we would have played that same 11?
Especially after the side we put out earlier that season in the Derby?
I was wrong about us having won the league but a quick check shows me that we were 15 points ahead of them in that game. The players had won the league in their minds and were up against a City side with nothing to lose. Sometimes that makes the difference.
Robb, I personally consider your views to be as wummish and idiotic as Nohlman's. Luckily I don't believe in lobbying to get people banned for having a different opinion.

Yes of course we would have played the same 11 you know it, i know EVERYBODY knows Giggs would have started in that game if it had been the CL final Giggs would have started in that game
Our midfield is awful, accept it. Southampton played us off the park in both games.
Giggs in cm is bad, but don't make him out to be a bad player. Against Madrid on the wing he was amazing wholeness legs lasted. Obviously he needs to make way for youth even on the wing though.

Southampton gave us a fantastic game at OT last season, Schneiderlin is a talent.

yes, because thats exactly what i was doing Giggs is the best LW we have but he is atrociously bad in CM, apocalyptically bad
Even carrick I find to be way overrated. He's decent and a good passer of the ball, but he struggles under pressure and offers 0 mobility.

Firstly, I believe in our squad. One that won the league by 11 points and has won 5 of the last 7 titles and losing the other 2 by a point.
If that is 'wummish' then you really need to learn to read.
Secondly, I never once tried to get Nohlman banned. He did that himself.
You obviously like to start fights on here so why don't you chuck a prossie a fiver and work off your impotent frustration another way.

And you call me a wum
You bedwetting cretin.
I believe in our squad too, that's what won us the league without a doubt because our starting 11 are inferior to City's and Chelsea because of our midfield. That's why we have struggled recently in knockout football. I would still back us to win the league this season a) because the league is poor b) because our squad depth makes us strongest over 38 games.
I'll let your other comments slip.

Good, because being VC is boring.
Carrick against Madrid was less effective than Cleverley. At least the latter had good movement. There's no one better than Carrick to dictate a game against weaker pl sides but he can't quite hack it against the very best. He's Scholes in his prime without the movement and the goals
For the record, disagreeing does not equate to picking a fight.
Except that Carrick was one of our best players against City away last season and was along with Welbeck and De Gea our best player in Madrid as well as countless CL games over the past 7 seasons.
