dunc I don't think it works like that.

If I can run the first 10 metres in 1 second it doesn't mean I can run 100 metres in 10 seconds

-------------

that is some pace with the ball mate, and its the current record.

nearly 30 meters with the ball at your feet in around 3 seconds is a crazy speed.

Ryan Nelson - RAPID!!

Dunc, 27m in 3 seconds doesn't necessarily equate to the time he'd do over 100m.

For instance, Giggsy might be able to do 9m in under 1 second but that doesn't make him faster than other players over 100m

I was thinking John Terry was the quickest though. I mean you have to be, especially if you hear Wayne Bridges key in the door, after he has arrived home early.

Over the first 10-15 yards, Hazard is lightning. It's a big part of his game and how manages to get away from players very easily.

Gemili was a Chelsea player...

Forgot about Navas. He's like a whippet over the first 10m.

I was surprised how quick Kevin Phillips looked on sunday bearing in mind he is 40

It's a ridiculous amount of speed dunc, he is probably the fastest with the ball at his feet.

Walcott, surely?

Theo is like Forrest Gump, once he get's going he's rapid

Wenger "Run Theo Run"

Theo "me and Arsene were like peas and carrots"

Navas was 10.8 to do 100m. Not sure how that equates to anyone else. Walcott must be up there though.

When you guys say "ball at your feet" what do you mean?

Literally that, i.e. close control? Or knocking the ball 10 metres ahead of you and sprinting after it?

As some of the above posts are definitely incorrect if it's the former. No way anyone on earth runs anything like 100m in 11s with the ball actually at their feet.

Probably Sterling

As a matter of fact, Hull City's full back is lightning too

According to my stats - Neil Ruddock still holds the record for fastest in the league... well, i think that's an 'S' in there

Ball close to feet at pace i would say Lennon, Bale Theo etc like to knock the ball 10-20 yards and sprint after it, Lennon can run at full pelt with the ball at his feet.

Bale over long distance ofcourse.

That's if he stays.

Forgot about Sturridge. He is lightning quick, which was very apparent with the way he used to outpace many fast fullbacks easily when playing on the wing at a Chelsea.

Sterling. no way.

Definitely Theo.

Running with the ball with CONTROL, of course!- There is no point running fast with the ball, if you cannot control it. You also have to have the ability to pass, shoot with success. Otherwise the quick speed is doing you no good and is all you have. As Gabby has realised.

Navas, Lennon, Walker, Walcott all have amazing pace! I'd say over the weekend Navas win's it
