Full back killer
Navas is another, very quick when he knocks the ball ahead of him, but in terms of keeping the ball close to you Lennon is quality at.
Hazard is probably the best at close control while moving at high speeds though, something Ronaldinho was always incredible at.
the problem is that when you name players like lennon and walnut and valencia as quickest with the ball.. they are not really dribbling.. they are just kicking the ball a long way ahead and running after it...
i see the quickest with the ball as the quickest dribblers.. which is why i mentioned eden hazard who properly runs with the ball (dribbles) rather than kicks it and chases it.
Lennon is great over 5-10 yards, and when he's in full flow it's hard to catch him, like the AC Milan game!
Ronaldo at United had fantastic burst of pace
Hazard is probably fastest with the ball
I disagree about Lennon Chronic, yes occasionally he will knock it past a full back and chase it down but he also has the ablility to run at pace with the ball at his feet.
Agree that Hazard is probably the best at this.
Hazard with the ball, great pace and has wonderful close control,

Apparently Kaboul before his injuries was the fastest of all our players
-----------
Great minds eh!
Chelsea would obviously win. We had Adam Gemili once upon a time and currently have Alex Kiwomya playing for our U21s who ran 100m in 10.98 and 200m in 22.36 as an U15.
Matt Jarvis is a Lennon type of player, does not have that close control on the ball pace like Hazard, just pushes it 5/10 yards in front of him to get the ball into the box from a wide position
In regards to pace and speed that is dangerous Hazard and a Valencia, Walcott, Lennon they all hold different types of speed that can be dangerous

The problem with this running with the ball argument is that you're changing the barometers of the argument if you're bringing their ability with the ball at their feet into the equation.
Kagawa is a better dribbler of the ball than Valencia but Valencia is much faster at running with the ball, for example.
If we are gonna take out the players that aren't what you would call gifted dribblers then the fastest is Nani.
Surprised Ramires hasn't been mentioned yet.
All good having pace, but the final product needs to be spot on, I'd say the only reason Walcott was/is worth what he is, is due to pace, he's overrated IMO
I am surprised no one has mentioned Yaya Toure, he will never be quickest acceleration wise over say the first 10 -20 yards. But at top speed i doubt anyone beats him, he just seems to get faster and faster, then he's knackered.
Over 200m it's got to be Walcott followed buy Hibbert (100m behind).
You'd take Ramires for the Mo Farah 5 and 10k.
Chelsea would win a 4x100m though. Recall Gemili, Kiwomya, Hazard and Lukaku (who when he reaches top speed is very fast).
Slowly descending into a "our player is quicker than yours" debate..........
This won't be popular but I'm yet to see Distin get beaten in a race by anyone.
Theo, Ryo, Gnabry, Ox.
That could give Chelsea a good run.

It'd be a good race against Lennon, Walker, Kaboul and Bale
