Really, really hoping this is as good as everyone is telling me it's going to be.

Not excited at all to be honest. Same anticipation for the previous one, which was a bit underwhelming. We'll see.

so can someone tell me why GTA 5 is going to be so amazing?

They are all exactly the same game nowadays, although GTA4 went backwards from its predecessor and became boring very quickly.

Vice City and San Andreas were the dogs boollax but GTA4 was a let down.

What has GTA5 got that will make me interested in the series again?

Ok so please Chris what is a game who you think is better? Contenders would be Uncharted, The Last of Us, Halo 4/Reach, Dark Rain, Dark Souls, Red Dead, Maybe stick in Batman.......now tell me which ones in those games have done anything original............hell tell me any game in the last 10 years that has done anything really original? And i take you have actually seen some of the previews and such as one of your original comments suggest you have seen next to nothing

So Pete someone asked you also what you believe the best game of the last 7 years is and you mentioned a game that isnt even in development and has been said by the main designer behind the first 2 games may never happen, and when whats GTA4........ah that is right over 5 years ago. Why not - you really make no sense and just trying to band around if and buts. We are coming to a close of a generation of video games, so my question to you is what is best from this generation? You keep trying to dodge the question. You then make this assumption that HL3 for some reason based on what exactly? Half life 1 was certainly a game of a generation, Half Life 2 was certainly exceptional but may have been piped at its only game by Combat Evolved. But still i am put the question to you - what is the best game of this generation (PS3/Xbox360) 2005-2014 (appx)?

I said, what has this GTA promised that other games haven't really done in the past?

I saw one poster on another GTA thread a few weeks ago get excited about being able to play golf ffs. Would buy Tiger Woods if I wanted to do that.

Seems like the same thing as GTA4. Everyone getting massively excited, yet what's different? Like one poster above said, GTA San Andreas was class, and it took a backward step in 4.

Greg go check some previews mate - 3 different characters you can switch between during mission and out of them, deciding on how to do the jobs with a team (guns blazing, or stealthy), and then having a play area bigger than all Rockstar open world games put together.

Who said they will bring out another GTA in 2 years? SA was 2004, GTA4 was 2008, and this is 2013, clearly someone clearly skipped maths lessons in school..

God, don't you just hate the way Rockstar releases a new GTA game every year when it's basically exactly the same as the previous one?

Not quite Tommy, but semi serious as people are asking for orginality in video games which in general makes me laugh as there really is nothing original in any games, its just how the game is put together or a twist on on a style of game
