That formation is a shambles.

Welbeck is just wasted on the wing, so is Rooney a starter now that he made 1 tackle and pretty much refused to pass to RVP all game?

I'm just picking what I think the team will be. Ideally Welbeck would be at #10 and Young be on the left (until Kagawa is fit again) but what can we do?

No I know, just a bit depressing.

Also why aren't we giving the RB spot to Fabio while Raf is injured, Jones didn't impress me at all on Monday.

i really want to see zaha
why doesnt moyes even put him on the bench?

Not many people on this site know this but i'm a big fan of Giggs. Sadly the boss feels fit to put Welbeck on the left when Rooney is fit so that kind of makes Giggs a supersub now.

it will be this

De Gea

Jones----Vidic------Rio-------Evra

Valencia-----Carrick-----Cleverley-----Giggs

----------------RVP------------Rooney------------

Lindy
Fabio
Smalling
Anderson
Kagawa
Young
Welbeck

The funny thing about Jones at right back on Monday was that a lot of people on different sites were impressed with his defending which I found really good.

It was just his AWFUL crossing which let him down. I think he's a slightly better defender than Rafael when playing at right back but offers very little going forward.

But saying that i'd rather a slightly worse defender at right back who can get forward and put good crosses in so i'd always pick Rafael there.

all of our players are awful at crossing apart from RVP which is a problem because he needs to be on the end of them

Young is a very good crosser of the ball but sadly he's less matchfit on a regular basis than Hargreaves.

Hurry up and join us Baines!

Valencia in the past has given Enrique a torrid time as has the pace of Welbeck if we play Skrtel.

mu1982 agree with you about jones at right back.

Skrtel/Wisdom if Toure isn't fit. Would have played Cissokho @Lb if he wasn't injured.

Coutinho cutting in vs Jones&Vidic.

When do Rafael and Nani return from injury?

posted on 30/8/13

Exactly, we don't really need the physicalness of Jones against Coutinho, but I'm not sure how match fit Fabio is? Maybe Valencia will start again purely because Countinho is such a threat, he did a good job on Hazard although I'm not the biggest fan of winger's main role being their defending.

This. Off the ball. His main role should be pinning our RB/LB back. If he's tasked with helping with a winger, this will let Enrique forward. This is where an out and out DM would come in handy for you.

Our left vs your right should be an exciting match-up.

Your left and our right is just a pure attack fest though. Evra, Welbeck, Johnson & Aspas. Only thing is , is that we have Lucas to help out on that side.

Coutinho is going to be the game-changer. The kids got so much talent, that I genuinely envy Liverpool for having him. Shut him down, then I think we can definitely be looking at getting the 3 points from the game. Our attackers will be more than a handful for Liverpool's defence. Them playing with 1 striker would have a similar issue to what Chelsea had at O.T. Lucas would need a big game too!

We won't create anything with the likes of valencia, jones, evra and welbeck with their dreadful dreadful final balls

Liverpool struggle against RVP. Hasn't he scored in like 6 games in a row against them.

I'd stick Fellaini and Herrera straight in the starting XI
