1. With it being half way through pre season how do you rate your teams chances in the league this season?
--------------------------

I think our team is in a very good way/condition, but compared to other teams, I think we are a bit behind atm

2. Who has made the strongest improvements to their team so far and who still needs to strengthen the most?

Aston Villa have strengthened their squad, Liverpool and Utd have improved their first team, whilst City have improved too. Sunderland are getting better, but those at the bottom of the table need to pull their finger out as the relegation battle is gonna be very hard to swerve this season

3. Looking at everyones team at the moment who would you consider your main rivals to be?
-------------------

Aston Villa, Newcastle and optimistically United/Liverpool, it depends on how I start in comparison to others, last season I never took much notice to the table until the 2/3 point of the season, by which I had a lot to regret

4. 3 seasons ago saw the rise of Wolverhampton Wanderers, 2 seasons ago saw the rise of Birmingham and last season saw the rise of Aston Villa. Who do you think will be the team to make the biggest improvement this season?
---------------------

Hull They've finally got a manager to stay, and should push on from Season 4, and challenge for Europe again. Liverpool/Utd are also in for a shout for CL, as they look ready to break into top 4

5. With loads of teams this season with new managers who do you think will benefit the most from their new manager?
--------------------------

Sunderland, Ludy is a cracking manager, and coming into a team that was temped the whole of last season, he should be able to force himself up the table

6. Last night saw huge controversy in the transfer market when negotiations between Fan and Wilshere turned nasty. It is claimed by Wilshere that Fan was blackmailing him into signing Witsel by saying if he doesnt sign Witsel he'll sign Muniain. However Fan claims Wilshere was bribing Fan into not signing Muniain by saying he'd sign Witsel. Who do you believe and what is your opinion on the situation?
-------------------------

Do I look like Jeremy Kyle?

7. Recently Jet has been given a restraining order from Liverpool, Birmingham, Chelsea, Newcastle and Arsenal. This was because Jet would not leave them alone regarding transfers. With Jets current Arsenal obsession with their players and refusal to leave teams alone, what would you say to Jet in an intervention?
---------------------------

Carry on and disturb all their best players, keep stirring the camp

8. LRF most recently became the first person to win the wooden spoon award and a joint winner of the best argument award. With so many claiming him as a joke how does it seem to you considering LRF has the most successful league on the SG Board?
------------------------------

He is a joke, but a successful one at that

9. LSTD a manager who cant decide who to support. It seems like he only ever supports the teams who are lifting a trophy at the end of season. What is your advice to this awful little glory hunting?
------------------------------

At least if he carries on like this, he won't ever get the chance to support Arsenal

10. The generator system has been mocked and criticized by the greatest SG manager in living memory aka LRF. After listening to a legends wise words do you agree with LRF or is he being a complete and utter wooden spoon?
-------------------------

LRF spouts more crap from his mouth than he does with his rear

1. With it being half way through pre season how do you rate your teams chances in the league this season?

I fancy our chances of top 5. We've improved the first team 3 times, with Verts in for Evans, Navas a natural rw, with Hamsik on top of his game offering more than Gerrard in the am role.

2. Who has made the strongest improvements to their team so far and who still needs to strengthen the most?

Well apart from ourselves obviously, Portsmouth look to have improved the most. Everyone seems to be improving though with the gap closing between the teams at the top and bottom! Arsenal pulling away from the teams at the top, and EL teams improving so Chelsea/City/Brum probably have most need to improve.

3. Looking at everyones team at the moment who would you consider your main rivals to be?

Liverpool/Pompey/City/Chelsea/Brum. Villa got lucky getting 5th last season, they look stronger again, but we gifted them 5th place last season.

4. 3 seasons ago saw the rise of Wolverhampton Wanderers, 2 seasons ago saw the rise of Birmingham and last season saw the rise of Aston Villa. Who do you think will be the team to make the biggest improvement this season?

Pompey were unlucky to finish 10th last season, probably down to their rubbish manager So they could climb the most. Hull/West Brom two of the likely lads to improve with Tranq and Loyal in charge.

5. With loads of teams this seaon with new managers who do you think will benefit the most from their new manager?

Man City. Expectations may be too high though as I can't see past Arsenal to win the league at the moment.

You want to hear my opinion, well the dogs in my area are very clumsy.
I've just had to untangle yet another one from a post outside the newsagents.

I feel Jet's pain, the likes of Fan can be impossible to deal with at times

8. LRF most recently became the first person to win the wooden spoon award and a joint winner of the best argument award. With so many claiming him as a joke how does it seem to you considering LRF has the most successful league on the SG Board?

If life throws you melons, you’re probably LRF, that or dyslexic.

9. LSTD a manager who cant decide who to support. It seems like he only ever supports the teams who are lifting a trophy at the end of season. What is your advice to this awful little glory hunting pick?

Advice? If you buy a cheese and onion pie from Greggs and take off the pastry lid, then you’ve got a perfectly good quiche

10. The generator system has been mocked and criticized by the greatest SG manager in living memory aka LRF. After listening to a legends wise words do you agree with LRF or is he being a complete and utter wooden spoon?

Here's an interesting fact for you, Al Capone's business card said he was a used furniture dealer.

Arsenal - no one else

4. 3 seasons ago saw the rise of Wolverhampton Wanderers, 2 seasons ago saw the rise of Birmingham and last season saw the rise of Aston Villa. Who do you think will be the team to make the biggest improvement this season?

Just feel sorry for QPR

6. Last night saw huge controversy in the transfer market when negotiations between Fan and Wilshere turned nasty. The squad + side needs some fresh blood, I'll re-build for a while look to cement top 3 and form a side that can try and win the title

2. Who has made the strongest improvements to their team so far and who still needs to strengthen the most?

Portsmouth + Villa probably been most active transfer wise and have improved overall, Chelsea have slipped slightly and look to be more in a top 4 battle, Newcastle are a good side but teams around them are pulling away

we will probably miss out on europe, although if a select few of my players get a good start to the season, it could be a possibility

2. Who has made the strongest improvements to their team so far and who still needs to strengthen the most?

Its tough to say really, pompey have brought in a few treasures and City have strengthened an already stellar squad.

3. Looking at everyones team at the moment who would you consider your main rivals to be?

ive got to hang on the coattails of the european chasers so the likes of liverpool and newcastle are in my sights

4. 3 seasons ago saw the rise of Wolverhampton Wanderers, 2 seasons ago saw the rise of Birmingham and last season saw the rise of Aston Villa. Who do you think will be the team to make the biggest improvement this season?

I fancy Man United and Pompey to close the gap on the top 4 and make it a big 6

5. With loads of teams this seaon with new managers who do you think will benefit the most from their new manager?

I think Man City will benefit from the fresh ideas and no longer be an afterthought in the title race

i'll be scrapping for relegation. don't think i'll even be able to reach mid-table.

2. Who has made the strongest improvements to their team so far and who still needs to strengthen the most?

i haven't a clue, i've been busy making sure that my side is up to scratch for our upcoming relegation battle and i haven't got time to worry about other teams. plus i've only just arrived at this club.

We haven't changed our first team much since I have took over, just bought my own players and god rid of the players I don't like. I think we will win the league again.

2. Who has made the strongest improvements to their team so far and who still needs to strengthen the most?
Aston Villa I feel, they've made a couple of good transfers. Birmingham have improved their first team all round along with their back up.

3. Looking at everyones team at the moment who would you consider your main rivals to be?
Manchester City

I think ive improved the team a lot and therefore feel we can push on for the title

2. Who has made the strongest improvements to their team so far and who still needs to strengthen the most?

i think we have to be honest. rather arrogant i know but i generally feel the quality of the squad has improved. lower teams definitely need to improve

3. Looking at everyones team at the moment who would you consider your main rivals to be?

Chelsea and City. I feel arsenal are too strong to be stopped though i feel we'll give it a good go. 2nd will be the fight between us and them 2. we may see united and pool challenging us but we'll dispose of them pretty quickly

4. 3 seasons ago saw the rise of Wolverhampton Wanderers, 2 seasons ago saw the rise of Birmingham and last season saw the rise of Aston Villa. Who do you think will be the team to make the biggest improvement this season?

I actually think southampton. good manager and good chance.

5. With loads of teams this seaon with new managers who do you think will benefit the most from their new manager?

City probably

6. Last night saw huge controversy in the transfer market when negotiations between Fan and Wilshere turned nasty. 1. With it being half way through pre season how do you rate your teams chances in the league this season?

It's going to be tough for us, but without question, I think we have the ability to stay up.

2. Who has made the strongest improvements to their team so far and who still needs to strengthen the most?

Hard to say - I don't keep up with anyone else's transfer but my own really. Don't take much interest in any other squads, but I say we have improved the latter end of the season, but rarely through pre-season.

3. Looking at everyones team at the moment who would you consider your main rivals to be?

Again, hard to tell, in a relegation battle, it's going to be tough, Sunderland and Southampton will be the biggest threats though to me.

4. 3 seasons ago saw the rise of Wolverhampton Wanderers, 2 seasons ago saw the rise of Birmingham and last season saw the rise of Aston Villa. Who do you think will be the team to make the biggest improvement this season?

Got to be Hull at some point. They went well under Fan (before he left for Chelsea) and have struggled to really find their feet again. But hopefully this time, they have a stronger man in charge of them now. But QPR could be the dark horses.

5. With loads of teams this season with new managers who do you think will benefit the most from their new manager?

Who knows, a top team like City/Arsenal probably, just because they have the best 2 squads in this division so it will make them look better - but don't doubt the managers ability, Rooney and Robin are top class.

- That's what I believe of it, it's Sports Gaming.

Jet is a brilliant manager and a brilliant guy. It's only natural for top managers to push on and make sure they hassle their opponents managers into selling them, he's a nice guy. He deploys the correct tactic.

8. LRF most recently became the first person to win the wooden spoon award and a joint winner of the best argument award. With so many claiming him as a joke how does it seem to you considering LRF has the most successful league on the SG Board?

It's an award I'll cherish. But I'm sure there are a few other candidates for that award (Wilshere) that can outclass me.

9. LSTD a manager who cant decide who to support. It seems like he only ever supports the teams who are lifting a trophy at the end of season. What is your advice to this awful little glory hunting pri..ck?

The last 5 words in the question says it all for me.

10. The generator system has been mocked and criticized by the greatest SG manager in living memory aka LRF. After listening to a legends wise words do you agree with LRF or is he being a complete and utter wooden spoon?

It's just my opinion in seriousness. It just doesn't work because last season Spurs didn't win a game and the others around them won very little games, which is Unrealistic if you ask me because there will be times where they do win games, unless someone doesn't give them any slots. But, it makes it very hard to believe that that is the case for me really. If it was to be what LSTD claims to be 'Realistic' then surely Spurs and the others around them would have won a couple more games and Chelsea and Arsenal lost more games? It's just too hard to believe sometimes.

posted on 1/9/13

if theyd have had managers doing tactics and transfers all season maybe they would have won more games, can't use those clubs as an example because most of their results were auto losses

posted on 1/9/13

Yeah but they're were temp managers at the time and their were clubs that did have managers for quite a long spell actually. So how do you explain Arsenal and Chelsea? They can't go 'unbeaten' all season, it's just not possible surely. It's just too hard to believe for me.

But, that's just my opinion. I don't think it is believable in some cases which is why it isn't the best system for me. Anyway, don't want a fuss about it, just don't bother answering anyway.

posted on 1/9/13

Noone went unbeaten

Jet didnt hand in a single tactic for any of his temped sides, and Spurs barely gave in four tactics for the whole season

posted on 1/9/13

Sorry but Arsenal and Chelsea only lost like 1 game last season, still unrealistic if you ask me. Normally Realistically in the PL you'd lose 4/5 games in a season, not 1/2.

posted on 1/9/13

Arsenal and Chelsea maybe should have lost more but you cant just give someone a loss because they havent lost for a while. you need to give them a loss if they deserve a loss. last season they obviously only deserved 1 loss

posted on 1/9/13

if the system wasnt used the likelyhood is the top 2/3 wouldnt have lost a single game

Chelsea lost to Hull so there are shocks, before you were complaining it would be too many wrong results and now not enough

posted on 1/9/13

yeah literally the whole top 4 used to go through a season unbeaten, people used to be able to predict most games and get it right.

for example we'd say a game like chelsea-arsenal would be a draw, arsenal-wigan would be an arsenal win 100% sure and arsenal-liverpool would most likely be an arsenal win

now we dont know what the score between arsenal-chelsea is but we make it more likely for the team that has the better tactics/team

posted on 1/9/13

show me 1 system that has no flaws cause everyone has flaws

posted on 1/9/13

Urgh, I'm not explaining it over and over, it's a waste of time. That's just my opinion deal with it.

But, this is why Realistic Leagues are falling out of favour for me a little bit more now. Because there is no 'right' system to use. Because they are all too Unrealistic really, it just doesn't make too much sense anymore.

I'm not saying there is a System that doesn't have any flaws, but I'm saying it isn't really the correct system for a Realistic league, but as I just stated, there isn't really a right system for Realistic leagues anymore which is why they are falling out of favour hence why this is the only one going.

posted on 1/9/13

Its the only one going because of transfers not results systems. Very few members on here who actually have any patience and the ones that have been set up havent run transfers properly which has lead to arguments and the league never properly starting up. Nothing to do with results imo, the realistic aspect is meant to be foreign transfers.

posted on 1/9/13

Yeah but because it is a Realistic League, you'd expect everything to be like in reality. Which is why I think no results system really works for one, which is why they are falling out of favour, but I do understand your reasoning. But it's proving because less and less members are willing to join.

posted on 1/9/13

It's not the results system that's putting people off joining though its the transfers, really don't see why it has an effect. The two most successful leagues on this site use the system

posted on 1/9/13

The DL is successful because it's love between all the members and the activity and just how they are all good mates on that league, not the results system.

This league was successful because it followed on from the old 606 site where everyone enjoyed the system on the league, not like you've had the system for seasons.

Well if you say the transfers have been successful for years, why is it putting people off joining then? So they obviously can't be that good so actually I did make quite a valid point for us smaller teams and Lubo did agree and I'm sure anyone else at a bottom club would agree.

posted on 1/9/13

The system is better for the smaller teams than the old one.

posted on 1/9/13

Because they have patience with transfers, on 606 there were far more members and far more leagues, most leagues on the site were realistic.

There's nothing wrong with the transfers some people just don't like having to work to build a team when he only other leagues they've experienced are unrealistic.
