Very good article

He is a small time charlie with a small club mentality. Was never fit for the biggest job in football. I have said it all along.Weare now stuck with him for 6 years.

2. Ferguson himself struggled when he first went to United.

United were not a title battling team when SAF joined.

1. That is opinion, not fact.

2. He didn't take over a title winning squad, or even a team close to being challengers.

3. You said two points

i think jose would of done better but i wish we went for a manager who plays good football

fergie struggled when he joined united because utd were in turmoil, moyes has a team of champions

Still way too early to tell how he will cope.... I actually think Moyes is dealing with some of the problems SAF left, so i'm not gonna get on his back.

Thankfully Chelsea and City are slipping up too, so we just need to push on and keep up with them, hoping that Arsenal or Spurs don't get too far ahead.

The RC...
me agrees with you...How could anyone go upward after SAF?

Just going to C&P what I said on another thread.
------
The team that was put out today should be beating WBA, no matter what manager we have.

Time to drop Rio though, he's been at fault for 5 of the last 6 goals we've conceded. Also get Rafael playing ffs.
Also, Fellaini - what a fecking waste of money! Someone please tell me what he adds to the team other than height?

D'Jeezus

1. I never said it was a fact.

2. SAF made that group of players look better collectively than they are individually.

3. Go and wum United somewhere else, because I'm interested in an actual football conversation.

Moyes is a decent manager and also a decent man. But he's not good enough to be Man Utd manager.

But I agree it's the poison chalice of all poisoned chalices.

The small club mentality has now trickled down to the fans too when they put forward City's results tomask our shortcomings

Nothing, he was a waste of 28 million pounds.

Hope you don't mind me butting in here;

SAF will be a hard act to follow, even if it were Mourinho or Guardiola in the hot seat.

Moyes did extremely well at Everton with the squad he has, and it will obviously take him a little while to settle in, in what is a momentous transitionary season for you. Moyes is not a rubbish manager, and will not be a rubbish manager overnight. Trouble is the ridiculous pressure in this modern age to achieve instant success. The media have a lot to blame for 'instant' and 'hype' especially SKY.

Fergie had three years, and Moyes should be given this season and next to establish himself. Never mind the idiots who want him out after 6 games - atrocious! 6 years without success - that I can understand.

I still think your team will be in the top 4 at the end of the season - I'm not sure which position though. But you will be up there.

I said in the Summer that the appointment has a bit of "Bruce Rioch" about it. By that I mean United have a manager lined up, but they couldn't get him straight away so have got an interim manager.

I wouldn't be surprised to see someone like Klopp come in next year.

Jose would have had us top of the league.

i support moyes now he is a utd manager
but I do not see what he has to offer utd?
in the same way I cannot see what fellani offers the team.

what kind of logic is that. if we keep playing like this we will not even get in the top half.

Welcome to the real world.

Because of SAF, you have never really experienced a prolonged bad run of form.

This is what it feels like, and my advice is not overreact with comments like 'we wont finish top half'.

I'm prepared to give Moyes time, it was always going to be a Herculean task to take over from Fergie.

But just out of curiosity, what are the odds of Moyes getting the sack before the end of the season? Because a few more performances like that and the "Moyes out" brigade are going to be out in force and making one hell of a racket.

Like Chelsea are right now.

I said before Moyes came in, that the first manager after Fergie was only ever going to be an "interim" appointment. nobody, realistically, can follow what Fergie did. by putting Moyes in place, whoever follows will be compared to Moyes, rather than to Fergie. suddenly it will be much easier for them.

Moyes will be lucky to last the season out, imo.

I doubt that's the case. Why would we give him a 6 year contract if it were.

DM should have realised that United is a global team. Pressure is not just from the 76 odd thousand in OT but the claimed 600+ million fans. I would have hoped that he would use his first to learn about United's style of play rather than firing everyone and trying to implement his ineffective tactics. If it ain't broke dont fix, just learn to use it.
