Taking the names out of it. No Townsend, no Suarez, no Luiz, Torres etc. If player X raises his hands to player Y's face it is a red card. So how have the FA managed to complicate it to this extent.
Torres should get off with the 2nd yellow, it was more intent to jump into Vertonghen, even if he didn't make any contact it was a foul considering he jumped into Verts and it was a standing jump which he won the header fairly
The force of Torres's jump into Verts with a leading arm made the referre's mind up, not the fact Verts went down, held his head (due to the land) and sat up, rubbed his head and then got on with it
Torres when he went down put two hands to his head to make it look like he'd been struck,
Ok so the new reply button is a bit on the fussy side
I havent actually watche dtoo many replays of the incident. I cant be dealing with watching a red card incident over and over again regardless of who we're playing but from what I remember, didnt Torres get up from that challenge but had a slight chuckle on his face because he knew Vert was gna milk the challenge and get him sent off?

Verts actually pulls Torres shirt down to the floor
Still not on
Not sure, but he had a really peculiar smirk on his face while he was playing Freddie Krueger
To be fair the challenge was 50/50, with Torres looking at the ball, it was a poor incident all round
See when you look at that, its a just a regular challenge between attacker and defender.
Torres and Vertonghen both hit the deck, both grab there head and then both get up. Almost at the exact same time as each other. That's why I think it was harsh for Mourinho to have a pop at Vert, but I am a Spurs fan after all.
Yeh Thudd I know, its just a normal challenge. Have you got a clip which shows what happened further on?
Torres did not deserve the second yellow, however the other incident was a definitely.
The FA as I'd that match officials saw the coming together of the players and although they admitted not seeing the full extent of Torres scratching Verthongen's face, they decided no further action was necessary.
Total & utter bottle job!
Just both milking it to be honest
FA said that match officials
Actually when you see it from that angle they both bang their heads on the floor...which makes their reactions hardly surprising.
Was Torres on the way down or did Vert pull him down by holding his shirt?
They both land on thier head to be fair
Looks to me Torres would have regained some sort of balance but Vert was on his way down.
Thudd look at the way Torres just drops. The shirt pull has to be the reason for that no?
He pulled him down by his shirt

To be fair to the ref, it was about the 4th or 5th incident between the two of them and he had previously had words with both of them. Although it was never a second yellow card, it was in my opinion extremely naive of Torres to go in the way he did.
Yeh so Vert was on his way down. Torres wasnt until Vert grabbed his shirt. Who's to blame?
AVB+ they both go in pretty much the same dont they?
I think everyone or nearly everyone has said that wasnt worth a 2nd yellow.. Its the freddy kreugar incident earlier on.
