The fact is neither Defoe or Soldado have scored from open play in the PL yet. Doesn't that say more about the formation/tactics than the individuals?

I haven't seen a poorer display in a long long time . Every spurs player should be ashamed. I hope Defoe shuts up about how he should be starting now. AVB should be ripping a new one in that lot . Embarrased.

We can blame Defoe today but how many chances has he had? About as many as Soldado has had in the games he's played i.e. not enough.

Apparently his goals against shoddy teams meant he was on fire so we were led to believe he'd carry it on today - evidently not

Kos just gave a stonewall penalty and the ref didn't give anyway.

Defoe always has been useless. He scores against Tblisi and Tromso and everyone gets a big one about him again. It happens every season. There's a reason manager's don't favour him, he has no idea how to bring others into the game.

AVB needs to have a completely different philosophy at home for most teams. If that means 4-4-2 with pace on the flanks, so be it.

No problems with the away setups.
