Had England won 10-1 I'd have been happy but I wasn't happy with the way the goals were scored. We'll probably qualify but I bet the WC won't be smooth for us because of the way we are struggling to make it through.

A team which struggles to get through the qualifying rounds will struggle when it gets to the WC because it will be playing the best teams. Belgium and Germany will probably do better than England because they have qualified much easier than England, if England get there that is.
-----------
History says different. How many times have England cruised their qualifying group only to have a stinker at the actual tournament?
I don't know, you'll have to remind me.

Perhaps a technical merit score as well, as in Ice Skating ?
we need to have scousers like dawn in tottenham saying we were rubbish
there is obviously an agenda
I can't believe someone is talking about a shot that goes in off the post as being lucky, like it could have gone anywhere because it hit the post on the way in.
We may as well start saying passes that are accurate are lucky because once a ball contacts a foot it could go anywhere.
Dawn you are mental.
First goal was lucky
Second goal was a complete fluke
Third goal was a fekking brilliant solo effort and class finish
match was over at that point
the passing by every single player in front of the back 5 was somewhere between dire and horrendous.
The lack of genuine creativity in the England team once again shone through. Great result, but only a so, so performance.
Rooney and Sturridge provide some hope, because they can produce a bit of match changing flair. Townsend made a good debut, but the reality is that there is very little to get excited about regarding the national team.
The performance was a good one. Some of the passing was stray this is true. Lampard was guilty of this and wasn't a big influence on the match. For the development of Wilshere and Barkley we need to stop relying on him as a regular. He is not the future as he is too old, and he is too slow. I'll be worried if this 35 year old is starting games in the summer heat in Brazil.
Spurtle, you're over the top with your criticism there but if that's what you think then okay. To me a ball that hits the woodwork and goes in is a touch lucky. I remember Spurs hitting the crossbar and the ball came back out, hit the goalie and went in, now that's pure spawny luck isn't it? So too is hitting the post and going in, for me it's not decisive enough. Come and join me in my mental world Spurtle because it might cheer you up and be a good escape from your boring one.
I agree with Dawn..
I remember back in Euro 92 when Denmark were awful and didn't even qualify ...........
Last night was the best England have played in yonks. It was full of pace and players were trying to get past the man. Passes went AWOL at times but at least it was 35 yards out when trying to make things happen. Overall each player played quite well except lampard who was plain dire. Gerrard looked far happier and miles better when carrick was next to him, let him move forward where we all want to see him. Thought baines had a very good game and for me is better than cole now and should be 1st pick. Hopefully same level if performance on Tuesday and brazil will be booked!
