based on that team i am saying 1-1.
We may nick it if woy makes the right subs when were struggling. Midfield of Gerrard and Lampard = no ball retention.
Rooney will need to have a massive game to fill the space between midfield and attack.
To be honest, i'm just disgusted at that.
How can we still be trying Gerrard and Lampard
When you look at the team as it is there.......it's no wonder why we're struggling.
Worst England team for a good old while.
Walker, Cahill and Jagielka as 3 of the back 4? Really?
Andros Townsend gets first start in MASSIVE game.
Gerrard and Lampard as midfield two?
Jesus wept, I might not bother watching it.
Pretty sure it's a 4-2-3-1 with Welbeck and Townsend next to Rooney in the '3' and Sturridge up there on his own.
Jesus wept, I might not bother watching it.
.................
I won't be either.
Hopefully this will be the end of Hodgson once we don't qualify.
If he hasn't got the balls to tell Lampard and Gerrard that they just don't work for England and drop them, then he shouldn't have took the job in the first place.
4-2-3-1 and 4-4-2 are much of a muchness for me. Hardly notice the difference.

It means the players on the wings aren't stuck out there. They can cut in and play a bit more centrally which will suit Welbeck and Baines and Walker can provide the actual width.
Robb, this is Hodgson, it will be 4-4-2 and rigid.
England will be fine. Montenegro are missing their best players and Hodgson isn't as bad a manager as people make out.
Sturridge and Rooney will score a few goals tonight.

I guess you missed the England/Brazil game where England played with anything but a rigid 4-4-2.
Just wait until after the game to slate Hodgson. People in this country are so negative before these games.

We played with a midfield of Gerrrard Wilshere and Cleverley. That is dynamic, Gerrard and Lampard is the very opposite of dynamic. It's all well and good qualifying for tournaments but we will never get anywhere in those tournaments without a dynamic midfield and adequate ball retention.
robb, you know that i am always preaching "wait till after the match" but it is very, very hard to see a a line up with gerrard and lampard in midifled. We should be planning for the future... win, lose or draw.
against Montenegro tonight it might work.
but against even slightly better opposition ( as we've seen many times before ) a Gerrard-Lampard midfield will be made to look utterly useless yet again.
we are such a laughing stock

NEVER!
In my country Emile Heskey is a massive draw. You're stuck with me till he retires.
Jonny Evans sent off for a petulent kick out
Oh dear, remember when it was Gerrard or Lampard? Because they were to similar to play together? Now it's neither because they're both knackered. Yet they are still the first and second name on the team sheet.
Yes because Roy is a coward.
All I would say is that very few of the young CM's in the country deserve to be starting tonight.
Cleverley is injured and Wilshere is out of form.
Carrick should be playing.. good attacking team though.

why do Gerrard and Lampard deserve to start?
