My loyalty has been severly tested over the past 2 years especially. Not getting carried away, but this feels like we're on the up.

I'm saying how it feels. Every passionate Derby fan must be feeling simillarly.

Curious is a good word. Curious to see how far McC can take these players and/or how little investment we need to turn us into genuine promotion candidates.
I'm intrigued .....

Impetus restored to the club after too long 'consolidating' and too much 'stability'.

Exciting times indeed, AJ

Harold Shipman isn't available and besides he came from the smelly end of the A52.

Steve McClaren can be debated over and over. Not just in Derby but the whole country. You do not become England Manager without showing ability or people in "the know" pushing your name. Macca has had some difficult times but ive a feeling hes home. If McClaren does succeed at Derby I will always say the work started with Nigel Clough. Time will tell whether its right..but get behind Macca and Simmo.

Has Macca got more points already at Derby than he got at Forest.

So in all honesty, who thinks Nigel going is proving to be a good thing (so far)

Nigel going is the right thing.

McClaren being employed as his replacement, that is too early to judge.

Just watched his post match chat,

"things were going well and then their player got injured, then the linesman got injured and that threw us off a bit "

I'm paraphrasing a bit, but great excuses. I miss him.

It's great he's a forest though...eases the pain.

Yeah nice to know he's close, if ever we get lonely.

Al - I think you are spot on mate,as much as I respected Clough,I think we may have folded today, but under SM we had a different tactical view and made substitutions commensurate with the game as opposed to Cloughs rather formulaic ones....at the moment that appears to be the difference.

A footnote - look at how many players celebrated the goals - proper team spirit.

But let's not get carried away,we seem to have propensity for progress under the right stewardship, but the Promised Land is a bit too much of stretch....at the moment.

Enjoying the progression.....
