Who is 9880?

The Doctor
"i never wanted our team to lose. that is a myth"
-----------------------------
Nobody in their right mind should. We should always stick by the team in good and bad. But many were convinced (with some justification) that Wenger wielded too much power and the board were no longer managing him. The statement by the BSM last summer questioning Wenger's KPI was one of the best on the Wenger saga. As fans we have very little power and no practical or legal means to change things at a privately-owned club (even Man U fans will tell you that), and as a result our frustration (rightly or wrongly) boils over.

Wenger would have signed him whether we won or lost.

The problem is that Wenger did not plan to sign him or Flamini at the beginning of the Summer. He had 9 months to identify his targets and sign them but ended up going into the new season with nobody due to poor planning and negligence.

No top club operates the way we have done over the years. It's all well and good saying 'haha Wenger is a genius because he bought Ozil all you WOBs are idiots roflmaolbbq' but we have been calling for genuine world class players for years to take us to another level.

If Wenger listened to us sooner we may have won something a lot sooner than now.

Wenger is a great manager but we all need to recognise his faults instead of treating him like god.

We have improved but we still need players in january if we're serious about this title bid

Bats thinks his crying and bîtching made Wenger buy Özil

Yes if Wenger listened to us years ago he would have bought us world class players like we wanted.

The 'sooner' indicates that you think he did listen to you...

Wenger did have targets but it is not his fault the selling clubs didn't want to sell. For instance Suarez and Bender.

You said if he had listened to you sooner, meaning he listened to you but not early enough.

Obviously people wishing for the team to lose is ludicrous, but you can surely understand why people were livid with the lack of transfer business, especially considering how much talk we gave it after we qualified for the CL.

And I don't think anyone in their wildest dreams expected us to pull off signing a truly world class player in Ozil on the last day of the window.
