It's a Mexican Rave!!!!
imagine if u lot were playing them you'd be 4-0 down now
----------------------------------------------------------------------

We beat Leverkusen 4-2 and they are a point behind Dortmund in the league.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

well football doesnt work like that does it rob
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Not exactly but I don't think Bayer's quality is that much worse than Dortmund's.

2 weeks ago Bayer drew 1-1 with Bayern Munich.

Am I saying we'd beat Dortmund? Nope but we certainly would give them a game and not lose 4-0.

you'd get owned the way you are playing

Dortmund also finished 25 points behind Bayern last season but drew both games in the league

posted on 22/10/13

rob, they play a different style to Leverkusen, their pressing game would be the same as Southampton's, but instead of Lallana, Osvaldo and Lambert, it'd be Lewandowski, Reus and Aubameyang when they win the ball in our half

Okay, the example I just used of Bayer drawing with Bayern is apt. It shows that Bayer are a decent team to be one of the very few teams to take points of Bayern.

We beat them and beat them well. It doesn't make us a great side but it does show that we have it within us to play well enough to compete with Dortmund.

yes but like i say in my post above, styles make games, Dortmund's style and their pressing game would embarrass our MF IMO

Of course Dortmund would be a tough game but we have the players to hurt them. Imagine if our chances went in on Saturday? We would have won 4 or 5-0.

If we were clinical we could beat Dortmund.

bloody hell fire, i know youre positive but thats taking the píss, Southampton matched us for 90 minutes and fully deserved their point

Our tactics were spot on for most of the game on Saturday. We sat back and hit Saints on the counter attack. We could do that against Dortmund but like I said, we'd need the front 4 to be on form and clinical.

Can you name a single shot on goal they had which troubled us other than the scrambled goal? They dominated midfield but did nothing with it.

I'm really not trying to say we deserved to win because if you don't take your chances you don't deserve anything but it was bad luck and on another day we could have won by loads and also the ref might just have sent off the Saints player for tugging Nani down.

well they had a fantastic chance to go 1-0 up in the first half when rooney lost the ball on the edge of our box and Osvaldo just about managed to reach De Gea with his shot , i agree we had the better of the chances, but Dortmund are about 6 levels above Southampton as a team, they play a similar pressing game but they have World Class players all over the pitch to hurt you

And I said I agreed. And I didn't even say we'd beat Dortmund. But we certainly wouldn't lose 4-0 like the WUM above said.

Arsenal have been the better team but sadly you gotta make your dominance pay against teams like Dortmund.

we are playing Dortmund not u so what the hell is it to do with u??

Well, the difference is I watched you against Dortmund so I can comment on it but you didn't watch us against Saints so why do you feel you can comment on it?

I'm glad we're arguing because Mex can see me arguing with an Arsenal fan and know where my true allegiances lie.

I actually think Dortmund would hammer us right now unless we played 4-5-1 and then we would still lose but possibly narrowly.
On the issue of Keane, many United fans seem to have short memories. What a leader, a colossus of a player. At his peak simply awesome. He was Fergie's
mouthpiece on the pitch, his captain and commander.
His expectation levels were sky high and anyone seen slacking or accepting second best would get it !
This includes the Ireland national team when the once turned up famously with no kit or bibs and were kicking balls about a car park. Unprofessionalism which he despised and Ireland always thought it was just the craic to turn up and not compete. The walkout he was let down badly and shown up in front of all the players, accused of faking an injury. Don't blame him. He is his own man. He shouldn't however slag anyone else off for slagging players after his rant but his rant had a lot of truth in it. Liam Miller, Kieran Richardson ...Rolex watches, fancy cars etc
Keane = Legend !
