Shame Ronaldo will never get the recognition he deserves because he is 'arrogant' and 'self centered'.
I agree. No-one ever says he is one of the best of all time
If Messi gets it again it will be a farce Imo.
Ronaldo always seems to have his doubters. As if he has something to prove, when he has achieved pretty much everything.
I am actually quite shocked he is 3rd favorite for the Ballon D'Or. He has been infinitely better than Messi in 2013.
-------------------------------------------
No, he really hasn't by any measurable standard. This articles rarely come up when Messi has a great week but get pulled up when Ronaldo does. That's pretty dubious. He's on a better run of form which can't be surprising with Messi's injury problems recently. You can't declare a world best on a weekly basis.
how did you do on your midweek bets Batmanu?

Messi has doubters as well. Don't listen to those mugs.

What on earth does that have to do with what he does on the pitch???????
Another Shiite post from a Goooooner. Jeez, is it any wonder why you lot are ridiculed.
Please, can the senior members sort the 'yoof' out!!!

Fúck off then you mug, nobody asked you to comment on the article. Self righteous príck.

If he doesn't, it would be because the award voters are sick of him. Ribery is the favourite of many people. While I think he's an outstanding player who can compare with several past recipients of the awarrd, nobody is in the class of Messi and Ronaldo.

The award isn't for who the best player is. It is for who the best player in 2013 has been. Ronaldo has been better than Messi this calender year.

No trophies no Ballon. Demz de rulez.
I actually think Messi is so incedible in the consistency of his brilliance that people over time, become desensitized to him. Goals and pieces of skill that would get people purring in delight if they came from Aguero or Suarez are seen as routine when Messi does them. He's almost become a victim of his own insane consistency of brilliance.

Ronaldo's penalty conversion rate is unbelievable. Out of the last 13 penalties he has taken, he has scored 18 of them. Really good ratio.

Ribery deserves it for what he achieved with Bayern. Only rare achievements like treble and exceptional individual performances over season will make another player compete with messi and Ronaldo for ballon d'Or.
So far this season Ronaldo has been the top dog. Messi's injury problems have certainly helped.

Like pornn, escalation-wise, people need him to produce more brilliance or it is meaningless.

No, he hasn't and you haven't stated why you think so other than rehashing the opinion. Ronaldo has had a better start to his season than Messi. He hasn;t been better since January.
Even when Ronaldo won the league with Madrid, Messi, who missed a crucial penalty in the CL SF vs Chelsea, went on to win the Ballon D'Or. Ridiculous really, Messi is the UEFA/FIFA poster boy. It almost seems fixed at this rate.

Probably the first time I agree with you sheriff. Messi's standards are so high that any game he doesn't score people aren't pleased. His playing style is undoubtedly the most difficult and skilful in world football.

Yeah, because Ronaldo didn't miss a penalty against Bayern as well in the same semis. Messi won the Ballon D'Or because on an individual level, he was a class apart from everyone - including Ronaldo.

Messi scores lots of goals against pub teams when Barca are 2 or 3 goals up. He is seldom decisive in big games anymore. Ronaldo is the go to guy for both Madrid and Portugal, he almost always steps up.
