Germany are crap, simple as that.
They won't win it.
France will be a good bet, as will Spain.
All that said, the strength in depth looks a little flimsy right now.
Woy has done well in this qualifiers , why don't you want him Daza ?
Greece won FFS and Denmark.
That's the beauty of it.
If Walcott carries on his improvement, and Kane and Sturridge play like we know they can then we'd have one of the best front 3's, and Rooney.
comment by D'Jeezus Mackaroni (U1137)
That front 4 is the best in Europe by far.
========
Hasn't even got a striker. Crap defence as well.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They have bad fullbacks, but Boateng & Howedes are class when on form. Hummels was a rock at times in Brazil as well.
They need to stay relatively injury-free. They still rely heavily on Muller & Ozil offensively.
Gotze can do a good job as the CF. Played great there recently vs Poland & scored in the WC Final as a sub for Klose.
Germany one of the favourites of course. Italy always a danger. Spain let's wait and see....wouldnt write them off. England also a good chance.....France no way they will win the EURO's. Mentally not good enough.
Because I don't think we'll do much in the actual tournaments with him in charge.
Write the Germans off at you're peril.
When it comes to the business end off things...worry.

Yeah, no chance the host nation, that has won at home in major tournaments twice will win it
Germany are certainly one of the favourites. They have issues but all the European sides do.
The worry for Hodge is whether he picks the right midfield. He needs to pick a decent holding midfielder like Carrick or Dier. If he doesn't then the defence is going to be exposed again just like at the WC.
Germany have been average in qualifying but you know they will get it right on the big stage. France look strong, Spain have a bright future. Should be competitive.
Its not about Hodgson. Doesnt matter who the manager. Its about the quality you have on the field. England is there. The only worry is England's midfield where there is not enough creativity when Jack not playing.
Hodgson is crap though. I'd be more confident with a decent manager.
Carrick is a good player. Always has been. But he's so ridiculously overrated it's a joke.
He was underrated at first. And then people realised he was good. So to compensate people go to the other extreme.
That too GT. Although I liked what I saw of Barkley the other night. If he can start being consistent we'll be alright on that front.

Yeah Roy caved to the media pressure to play Sturridge, and sacrificed a MF. Clear mistake.
I'm not sure about Wilshere as the deepest midfielder either. He has been England's best player since the World Cup, but his skill-set isn't suited to it.
It's about Hodgson as well.
Who plays Gerrard and Henderson in a two man midfield, for fack sake?
Gerrard is world class. So is Henderson. He's got world class clamp tackles. His tackles are like the bear traps.

The biggest problem Wilshere has is whether he can stay fit for more than a week at a time before another long injury. It's only going to destroy his ability in the long run.
expected england line up tomorrow:
Butland; Walker, Jones, Jagielka, Gibbs; Oxlade-Chamberlain, Shelvey, Barkley; Townsend, Kane, Vardy.
oh the excitement
Ings to make debut off the bench
