Belgium playing 5 vs 3 at the back is very dumb which means they can't press as they have one player less in midfield against the 3 Italian midfielders.

I said during the game but Belgium set up is wrong. Surely the game, in my simple mind, would be to play fully on a sit back and counter. Lukaku and Doku up front against geriatric Italian defence, KDB and Tielemans with their passing range. They’ve had a few counters but otherwise seem more willing to avoid running in behind in favour of possesion.

and the striker doesnt even have to be world class

The penalty decision looks less clear cut in slow mo as the attacker is so fast. The Italian defender only has himself to blame from nudging him at full speed.
