Spain, because they’d miss more chances than Italy.

I think Spain would be the harder team to actually play against, though.

Much easier for Southgate to sit back and play Spain on the counter for a narrow 1-0 win.

Italy on the other hand would be a nightmare. We'd need at least 4 goals in normal time to get past these nutters.

Doubt it. England aren’t conceding three goals against any team.

Italy would be the easier team to play against. They’d just take their chances better than Spain would.

group stage was generally dull but the knockouts have mostly been interesting, even the pretty dull England game had the rivalry to fall back on and the awful Ukraine game had a last minute winner

tbf, England have one of the best permanent sporting infrastructures in the world. Not many countries who could host an Olympics, Euros or World Cup at essentially the drop of a hat.

We have good logicstics and infrasturcture already in place. And we have Covid under better control. Maybe that?
