No Ilori - judging from your posts you've got it in for Skrtel, however well he plays, you whine about him. He's been our best defender this season, a couple of seasons ago was our player of the year and if you're sending out the message that you get dropped when you're playing well and that others get in regardless, then your squad isn't going to work.

Skrtel has been excellent this season - he gets such a hard rap from some 'fans' on here!

Let's not go over the top, he's been decent and deserves to be in the mix for a starting place. Trouble is with Skrtel, he's been better than he is now and managed to get a lot worse before this latest run of form. Many, myself included, don't have a huge amount of confidence in him for that reason.

The bottom line for me is that I think Skrtel is our 4th best CB. Irrespective of current form, we have 3 better players in my view.

433 cout left suarez right i think this is our best team and the bench looks strong we have players who can come on and make a difference in moses and sterling.

Hope allen gets at least 30 mins he needs it, sterling too needs more football.

I agree he's our forth best centre back but let's not pick players on reputation. It has to be form, otherwise what's the point of a squad and what message are you sending out to them?

Judging by Rodgers' comments, he doesn't like the two in the triangle to be on the defensive side. He's said lately that it's been more forced. At home we should have the two on the offensive side, definitely.

If he was streets ahead of the others on form then I'd agree. Don't know about Agger because he's been away for a while but in terms of recent performances I don't see a massive difference between Skrtel, Toure or Sakho. Sakho in particular I think has been every bit as good as Skrtel.
