The different formation doesn't affect it, it was based on the last two season.

Recent win percentages without gerrard in the team would provide a pool of data too small for fair analysis compared to the number of games he does play.

Suarez stat was in his first season, when he netted less that 20% of shots.. Last year he was netting over 35%

Statistics don't take other factors into account. For example Gerrard would have played in all the big games, when fit and rested for some of the 'lesser' sides, thus skewing it.

Skrtel would have sat deeper than Sakho and thus Sakho was first out to the tackle. Skrtel may have had a better attacker etc etc.

Statistics should only be used to go along with how you see performances.

Remember though IRU. His competitor in the team was Carragher. Who, despite not being that highly rated, probably was one of our most key players. Even if it was just for commanding/organising.

The only thing I would say about the proposed 433. Is what happens on the ball/attacking. The fullbacks push forward, Lucas sits deep, Suarez pushes up and Coutinho cuts inside.
