hes played no mind games this time around

He has on Torres

Cara, Doesn't this sound like he's making the Chief of Refree's look like putting pressure on refrees to think twice before awarding chelsea another penalty?

Its too early in the season. He has had some hits here and there. But this is the first time he is taking on "Them" openly.

No mind games he just doesn't agree with the fact they felt their needs to be some special apology to West Brom

TCP, thats the other side of the coin. He's been busy playing the mind games with our Ultra Relaxed players.

"As we all know Jose is the master of mind games in football."

Speak for yourself, mate.

Marco,
How can you not see that. I feel its a great thing that he is doing this. Our previous managers were too soft on Refs and Journos. Jose knows how to put them back in their place and I am very glad hes doing it. And in the process he is building that mentality in our team which is ALSO great too. SAF did it extremely well and Jose is not behind SAF in this regard .

Juan

Show me How many people are better than him in this? SAF is on his level. Wenger? Benitez? Mancini? Pep?

Not really otherwise he wouldn't be listing names of other managers that should have received special apologies

Look at all the guff folks swallow out of the mouth of that kñobhead Brenda Rodgers. They don't realise mind games are even taking place. That's where Maureen falls down. He telegraphs it well in advance. There's many others besides the LFC blagger.

Juan

Name calling during a proper conversation doesn't say good things about you.

Does anybody disagree with the apology to WBA?

I don't know if it's a common occurrence, bit refreshing to see on my opinion.

Busby , if it happens to every team from now on then we are fine . but if our game is the only one pointed out then that's bias and a problem

That's a fair point, I don't think it's something that's happened before, but I really don't know.

I don't think it was mond games, I just think he made a very good and fair point and wanted to make everyone else aware that the apology in an isolated incident can have a detrimental effect for Chelsea with refs in the future

Exactly.

I would say that this has gone way too far already.

We see controversial decisions given all the time and no doubt there will be at least one this weekend.

Does this mean that referees will now have to ring up any team that feels hard done by ?

Maybe we can expect a nice little phone call from Ovrebo then.

Mind games are a myth

The managers of the most expensive teams / best teams on paper say "ooga booga" and when they win (which they were supposed to anyway) then the supporters of that club say "master of mind games".

pfffffft

It's rubbish

Once we have seen off Hammers later this will all be a distant memory

Hopefully...
