I think you've lost sight of the contents of Albion's letter to the PL and PGMOL.
The Chelsea-WBA game wasn't the only one mentioned in that letter, and nor was Mike Riley's apology the only one Albion have received this season.
Albion pointed out refereeing errors in awarding and not awarding penalties in four of their games so far this season - vs Southampton, vs Stoke (match referee Howard Webb rang WBA and apologised for that one), vs Arsenal and now vs Chelsea.
So yours wasn't the only one pointed out, so there's no bias, but there is a problem.
Referees have to be 100% certain that it's a penalty. Mike Riley clearly believes Andre Marriner couldn't have been 100% sure. What I want now is for Andre Marriner to come out and admit it.
