Giroud- Good Player But Way Too Limited

One can kinda tell Ozil doesn't like playing with him by the way he shrugs his head after the Frenchman fails with it.

Walcott's return may help both Ozil and Giroud

If you's had got Suarez in the summer you'd win the league this season I'd say, he would have revolutionised your forward line.

Pretty much

I think Ozil just doesn't suit playing with a hold up striker. You can see when he has the ball he doesn't really see any options, hopefully this will change now we have Theo back and Podolski coming back.

Cazorla, Rosicky, Wilshere and Ramsey are not players who run beyond a defence in the way Walcott, Ox or Podolski would, and this hinders Ozil greatly.

I'd love a Suarez type figure up top, someone who will make little runs off defenders and create space for Ozil and Cazorla to run into.

Yes, Walcott will help of course. But ultimately, if Giroud was quicker Ozil would have another option to thread the ball to.

Possibly yeah, but then if we'd got Suarez I'm certain we wouldn't have got Ozil so it's swings and roundabouts really.

Suarez would be a dream. Imagine him up top with Ozil, Walcott, Cazorla, Ramsey, Arteta behind him.
Run away with the league is an understatement.

Yep. No chance we'd of signed them both though.

Great OP. Giroud is a great hold up player. But we need a great striker who can score goals from nothing. That isn't Giroud. He would be great at a club like Newcastle or that level. Sell him and get £15m for him. Invest that money in a better player. I'd prefer Remi who is a poor man's Suarez but has pace to burn and no little skill either. Fack, even Defoe

Defoe lol.

Would be idiotic to sell Giroud though. He is still a very useful player.
We just need better.

c'mon defoe.

Anyway, Giroud may not be our desired 1st choice striker, we want someone with pace + finishing, but with some good link play. But why would we sell him for 15M we don't need the money and he is a terrific option to have.

We should just buy a striker.

Certainly feel that having theo and pod back will help us immensely. Theo needs to find his finishing boots of last season though!!

Giroud definitely does shy away from shooting. Ive only watched him properly a handful of times but from what I can tell, he has good movement but his first thought is always to set someone up, pass it to someone when he's in a better position himself to shoot. Needs to be selfish like Sturridge. Being a team player can be a negative as much as a positive imo. Like Welbeck

The reason why I say sell Giroud is because he is not an impacty type player. A few flicks here and there , meh sell the cant.

But we have Pod who scores for fun with germany and can do a better job that Giro. He has thunder in his legs and can beat players. He is no snail runner either. Plus as he's German Ozil knows how to use his skills. It works for the national team.

Who da feck wants a striker who is afraid to shoot at goal and preferrs to pass it to someone else. Pass the facking ball into the goas you handsome cant.

Bloody Welbeck can score for England tho He'll happily shoot for them.

We have enough small and quick players, Giroud is the traditional hold-the-ball-up type that we need to balance the team.

He doesn't especially need to be able to finish from outside the box he needs to be decent in it, and he is (mostly, probably not great with his head).

He isn't Arsenal quality. We've had Henry, RvP and now Giroud .

It beggers belief.
