Ferdinand said it because he was being managed by a genius, world class, one of a kind manager. He's not wearing tinted glasses like some idiots here. Firstly the fans are wrong, soon it will be the players are wrong, never Moyes though.

The point is rio shouldnt have opened his mouth at all. As a senior player he should know better than to undermine his manager like that.

rio's quote just an example of how moyes not ready

Spurs just signed a few big names with only the channel 5 cup to offer them.

Money is what signs players. Not a compeition that ONLY 1 team can win per season anyway.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
spurs midfield was already better than ours before they signed decent players

United went cheap and its backfired in immense fashion...... United will lose tomorrow 2-1, and the crowd will turn against him now. Had enough of hugf ball passing sideways negative boring football. The last few years under fergie was poor but it won games, this is even worse! Its awful and back to 87 in a way, but we had whiteside ronbson and strachan in the midfield then, give me right nut for that now

Rios quote is an example of a player senior or otherwise commiting the cardinal sin of publicly undermining his manager. Bang out of order

You're not going to lose at home to Newcastle, I would be amazed if that happened.

Melton

With NO Rooney (suspended) and most likely still no Carrick or RVP either (injured)...........there's a very decent chance of us losing the game.

We don't keep clean sheets in the PL anymore so the barcodes are sure to get at least one. Without our two main goalscorers I just don't see where the goals are coming from.

You didnt watch the shitt on wed melton. The midfield is just awful, in fact its shameful. But no rooney, van persie to bale us out and now no kagawa = no hope

Talk about an overreaction! Moyes was right when he said people who don't understand football will slate the team.

There was one thing and one thing only wrong with us on Wednesday and we didn't finish our chances.

People genuinely believe that we should have played Brazil 70 football against an Everton side who have lost less games than anyone this season (just the one).

It was a great, end to end game where we missed a lot of good chances.

If Rooneys shot that hit the post goes in or Welbecks header from 3 yards goes in or the ball from Kagawa doesn't go through Rooney's legs when facing an open goal or Fellaini's shot doesn't deflect wide we win that game and all is rosy.

The very fact that none of those relatively easy shots doesn't go in and Everton score theirs suddenly means we were 'shitt'.

It just astounds me really.

Whilst I am not a fan of Moyes, senior players at the club should know better than to do stupid things like this. I can only assume a revolt in the dressing room has led to this and the players are trying to get rid of the manager and Rio, considering his career is almost over wants to take one for the team.

There have been some rumours about Van Persie asking to leave as well. Rumours, I might add.

I can't believe it is that bad that it is not still deemed superior to Newcastle though. It's not as if, given a choice, there are many players there that you would swap over their United equivalent.

This is why I don't think you can blame the summer too much. A United fan on a different forum put this, and this is my thoughts on the quality of your squad too -

"Anyone questioning the quality of our squad needs to remember, we were one bad decision away from eliminating Madrid and we sure as hell didn't look outclassed at any moment when we were playing on even terms.

Yes but the players have aged since then. Have aged about 9 months, so they are almost dying from the old age."

He just needs to forget about the opposition and focus on getting you guys playing well and you will win and win well.

Wrong move by Rio.

But clearly an indication that all is not right.

We look leggy, lethargic and second to every ball nearly every game.

I've heard that a few times as well Mudd.

If you think that was the only thing wrong with us on wednesday then my word..........

Obviously had we taken a few of the chances we may have scraped a 1-0 or a 2-1 win but the same problems would still be there.

We can't keep the ball. Our midfield can't run. Our wingers can't cross.

Poor finishing is the least of our concerns.

People need to stop listening to what the manager says and trying to find some weaknesses.

I remember when people on here were crying because Moyes said we weren't good enough to win the CL.

Since he said that we've stormed the league stage and if we win on Tuesday I believe we get the most points in the group stage for some years.

I thought the Everton game was pretty good from both sides

The overrection to the defeat is because our our current position

Taken on its own merits, United played well against a very good side

People were saying on one hand that only 2 of United's players would have got in that team yet we still competed and it's somehow Moyes fault we lost it

Moyes only bought one of the other 9 players that supposedly wouldn't get in the Everton side
