There was one thing and one thing only wrong with us on Wednesday and we didn't finish our chances.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you think that was the only thing wrong with us on wednesday then my word..........

Obviously had we taken a few of the chances we may have scraped a 1-0 or a 2-1 win but the same problems would still be there.

We can't keep the ball. Our midfield can't run. Our wingers can't cross.

Poor finishing is the least of our concerns.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

We were playing a top team. A 1-0 win would have been an immense result considering how good they are. This team beat Chelsea and were leading at City. Melton probably might have a different view but at 1-1 Everton really should have had a penalty and who knows after that.

I'm not at all saying everything is good at United but on Wednesday we played well and had those chances gone in not a single person on here (apart from the obvious few) would have found too many negatives.

Football is all about those fine lines and it is funny how Moyes gets the blame for top players missing easy chances. Blaming the manager should be the last resort but too many people on here use it as the first resort.

Wrong move by Rio.

But clearly an indication that all is not right.

We look leggy, lethargic and second to every ball nearly every game.
--------------------------------------------------------------------

i missed that headline the morning after the leverkeusen game...

Leggy lethargic utd despite being second to every ball squeeze 5 past the germans.....

RVP was apparently "quoted" whilst away with the Dutch squad in september saying that the training methods under Moyes are not what he is used to or what he expected at a club like ours.

Or something like that.

Might not be true but very worrying if it indeed is true.

I thought the Everton game was pretty good from both sides

The overrection to the defeat is because our our current position

Taken on its own merits, United played well against a very good side

People were saying on one hand that only 2 of United's players would have got in that team yet we still competed and it's somehow Moyes fault we lost it

Moyes only bought one of the other 9 players that supposedly wouldn't get in the Everton side
----------------------------------------------------------------------

First loss in 12 games and now according to some he'll be sacked at the end of the season

No we weren't. We were playing a decent team in good form and with lots of confidence.

Everton are NOT a top team. Bayern Munich are what you'd describe as a top team.

I like you as a poster but you don't half change your mind about Moyes every 5 minutes. Can you just make a decision now and stick to it?

As the season goes on you've supported Moyes then we lost to West Brom and you think he's a poor manager then we go on a run and beat Arsenal and you think the players are finally getting used to him. You see us batter Bayer Leverkusen and all is well. We then lose to Everton and now you think that he will be gone at the end of the season, RVP is being treated like a chimney sweeper and the funniest thing of all was when the other day you said 'RVP, Rooney and Carrick are missing - if we lose to Newcastle then Moyes is going to be under huge pressure'.

Well, what if the reason we might lose to them IS because those players are missing. None of which is Moyes' fault.

I guarantee if United win their next 3 or 4 games you'll be saying 'Well done Moyes. I never had any doubts!'.

Please just make your mind up now. Do you think Moyes has what it takes or not?

You're right. Everton hadn't won at OT for 21 years. Let's sack Moyes. It's not like a team would come to Old Trafford not having won there for a similar amount of time and while Sir Alex managed us.

*cough* Spurs, *cough*

Old Trafford hasn't been a fortress for years.

posted on 6/12/13

Jesus if the mindset of the fans at OT tomorrow mirrors the feelings of the posters in this forum then moyes is in for a rough ride tomorrow and for the remainder of the season.

Sounds like you talking about Rooney that Rob

I don;t think it's wrong to give Moyes the benefit of the doubt at the moment tbh. If he doesn't make it in the end, it doesn;t make you wrong in my opinion

Its just keeping an open mind

Like I did with Wazza last Summer

I think he will be gone at the end of the season because I do not think we will make the top four.

Just an opinion, nothing more.

I hope Moyes proves me wrong, but evidence so far isn't promising.

You say we were playing a "top team" but then you say Martinez is a lucky manager.

I think we all wont moyes to do well no doubt but the football stuff is hard to take at present time! I feel like melton with pearce, you need beer before the match. But im under the impression that were rubbish at the moment and not expecting much but i think moyes will form a good team but its going to take time. Many of us including myself need to understand this, its all changed and united arent going to challenge for a while! Anymore off to wigan for xmas do part one!

When the hell did I say he was a lucky manager?

I actually said in your 'genius' article the other day that I though he was a good manager and one day could be a very good manager. But genius is stretching it.

Everton are a top team this season and the biggest part of that is Lukaku. He dominated Vidic like i've never seen.

You know my feelings on Rooney. I was as big a fan as you up until he asked to leave (lets not open that can of worms again!)

Since he got back i've supported him as you've seen.

tell me how many people on here have the balls to swallow their pride like I have with Rooney?

For that alone I hope I get your respect. I might even get VC's one day

Well, for all intents and purposes they deserved to lose when in the 94th minute they have the clearest dive ever to salvage a draw.

Not even that but at 2-1 down Chris Brunt is in on goal and doesn't pass. Chelsea could very easily have lost 3-1.

It wasn't Jose's genius that gained a point in that game.
