I have taken a reprise through the nights many postings and verily I am most vexed . It seems in a moment of sheer madness I did encourage the lost and wayward worshiper of the Ram , Zigger, to feast upon the Samaritan Auk . For this outrage I must apologise to Heb the Keeper of the Auk . I prostrate myself at the mercy of this august forum and await my fate.

We are all from the land, and will be returned to the land Hinton. Auk and human alike. No one entity has dominion over the other. But verily, to encourage Zig to snaffle the little mite who brought him succour is a bit rich to be fair. Say ten hail McLaren's and one Eranio, and go in peace, my son.

Relax, you said nothing wrong. These little birds do form a part of our staple diet.

However, some, identified at at young age as particularly talented, are trained as Rescue Auks.

Not unlike the use of St Bernards in the Alps, albeit with much less carrying capacity (in this case a single polo mint but this may have been the difference between life and bad breath)

All rescue Auks know that in extremes they may have to make the ultimate sacrifice - indeed latest versions come with cooking instructions!

Anyway a happy ending and Rams fans out there now know that they are not alone - in an emergency call an Auk!
