I'm not too unhappy at the run-rate, after the performances in teh ODI's.
Happy we got through the day only losing 5 wickets and putting an acceptable score on the board.

If we won, or had even been competitive with the bat, in the previous games, I'd complain.

I'm a big believer in runs on the board. We'll see how things look after both sides have had a bat.

tomorrow's 1st hour will be key. India need a minimum of atleast 350. Rahane and dhoni have to score atleast 100 more and wear out the SA unit.

So far pujara, rahane and kohli have shown great temparament. Great signs if you ask me. India always tend to struggle in 1st test and as far as i remember they always get bundled for under 200. These youngsters have shown that Indians can play.

Poor that.....they let the pressure build after not scoring. That's what happens

im not sure what india's plans are. they cannot just keep blocking and expect to put pressure. they have only added like 7 runs in 1 hour.

Hopefully Ashwin just adds some quick runs now, otherwise we're going to fall well short of 300.

india were very slow. they just wanted the spinners to come so that they can attack. unfortunately that didnt work. they need to be more positive. atleast rotate strike
