Yes let's.
You seemed to think it was all down to the youngsters not having confidence for some bizarre reason?
Weird given you saw none of the game and criticize others for such an opinion.
I responded to a comment that the youngsters weren't playing as well as earlier in the season. I though my post was okay in hoping that their confidence would return and they would continue to show that early season promise.
I wonder if you're trying to nit-pick when I'm being encouraging.
I didn't see the game, like you, so can only give a balanced opinion on how I read the comments and reports. I have no idea how Edwards played for example.
I guess I missed the comment suggesting the kids heads dropping.
Statistically results have dropped since the kids dropping, coincidence? Maybe.
Not sure on Edwards performance, but after 6 years and still not being able to remotely consolidate his position, I would take anyone but him whilst looking for a bright new future.
Not sure what that means. I'm always supportive of players, particularly those given a hard time by "fans". Good to read that Mick has given support to an Ipswich boy who has been getting stick today. That's what proper managers do.
I stated in another thread that it would be a good idea to bring back some of the experience alongside the kids. You were one to pooh pooh the idea.
Now you advocate having such mix. I'm consistent. Are you?
Edwards was poor as was doyle and siggy, although with siggy he is void of all confidence the other two especially Edwards bring nothing to the team.
When I'm home I could look up the comments, but is it worth it?
I was at the game today and can tell you that with the exception of the tranmere game edwards was as good as he's been all season. In a word, crap. I can never criticise his effort as he always gives 110% but you don't win games just from running a lot and unfortunately he adds nothing else.
I thought price did well today and he was unlucky to be subbed woth davies being on par with edwards when he came on.
Henry was lively in the second half after a poor first and griffiths caused them problems when he came on. Siggy unfortunately did nothing all game and goulbourne and ricketts were also poor.
Excellent come back though after a shocking first hour. My main concern is that the players still don't seem to know what the tactics are. Wingers cutting inside (because they're told to) and no pace when we attack. Are we a passing side or do we play hoofball because today it was largely just hit and hope down the channels which won't get us or of this league.
Rotherham wanted it more in the first hour but the penalty seemed to turn the game and they struggled after that, we could have won it at the end.
Nice read mike
Bute, my views on youth versus experience have been very consistent, I fully appreciate we have to add a few players with more experience, what I have a massive problem with is wasting places on players who have absolutely no future with our club, or at least, should have no future with the club.....Dave Edwards!
For wolves moving forward we absolutely must be looking at price and Evans as good prospects and neither has produced less than Edwards, in fact both have probably shown more this season than what he ever will.
For that reason it really pees me off to see someone who has given us next to nothing for 6 years except "runs a lot" getting a game when we have far more talented youngsters who will give us far more given a chance recieving ridiculous snide comments that have been thrown about by many on here and other forums.
How do i start....we were not great first half, no cutting Edge ( did you see what I did there ) and we went ahead through a Danny Batth goal. It lasted a minute comedy defending by Goldbourne...then we went behind...another moment of comedy defending
At 3-1 down i thought we were down and out then Griffo came on and sparked us into life, thank God. In the end a point and going joint top was the reward for the trip North. Great day out with Telford Wolves
Scores on the door
Ikeme 6 solid enough, a few wayward kicks but the ground was small
Ricketts 7 Solid enough, did his bit to get us going forward
Batth 8 MOTM Solid in the air, solid on the ground, needs to work on distribution but solid at the back and got our first goal
Stearman 7 Solid pairing with Batth, good ball player
Goldie 5 poor game from him, left two open for first two goals
Henry 8 good solid play from him and a good equalising goal, sign him up
Price 5 did not put his stamp on the game, midfield was poor
Edwards 4 why was he not subbed? We need to move him on, really, today
Sako 6 frustrating, stop coming inside! Stay on the wing and look up for your team mates
Doyle 6 not really in the game until Griffo came on then he was a different player
Siggy 5 my son loves him but God he is crap. Hopefully gone in January
Subs
Griffo 7 changed the game when he cam on. His smart touches and link up with Doyle started the change in pace and the start of our ascendancy
Others not on long enough
Ref Dreadful despite the penalty decision
Crowd Sellout crowd only there to see the Wanderers. Good solid away following, most from the SouthBank from the songs

After back to back defeats, a point away to a side sitting in a play-off position is not to be sniffed at. And considering we were 1-3 down at one point, it's definitely a good point. Yeah, the defending was pretty poor today, but being honest, how many times have our defence/keeper earned us points this season? It would be unfair to pick on the defence, considering our midfield and strikers were again not really up to it.
I think the one thing we can gather from our campaign so far is that there are some good midfielders in this League, and if you stand off them and let them play, they can hurt you. Pringle had a really good game for Rotherham today, and no one in our midfield has really controlled a game the way he, and others, have. A midfield of Henry, McDonald, Sako plus one other has the quality to boss games, but they haven't, and whilst I still think we'll be promoted, if we don't address this in January, it will make things far more difficult than it needs to be.
As for the game itself, as I say, we never really got a hold of the midfield, any attacking we did do tended to be on the counter attack, which meant that the emphasis was on the quick pass, rather any sustained, controlled possession. In the main it worked, and we looked a threat, but all of Rotherham's goals came from the fact that we couldn't keep the ball. I guess it was inevitable that Dicko would score, given that he played for us last season.
We're heading into a crucial period of fixtures now, I think we have 4 games in two weeks, so if we can get things going again, we could head into January, and the much heralded transfer window, in a more positive frame of mind.
Ratings:
Ikeme- 6. Conceded 3, yet wasn't overly stretched. Most of Rotherham's attempts were off target. Struggled with his kicking at times, overhit quite a few early on.
Ricketts- 6. Tidy game, got caught out of position once, but other than that was comfortable, and got forward well at times.
Batth- 7-MotM. Much improved after a pretty poor performance last week, and got on the scoresheet too. Dominated in the air, and made one really good block at the edge of the box.
Stearman- 7. Did well as the first point of the defence, quite often he was out to meet the ball and stop any attempted counters.
Golbourne- 6. His weakness in the air was shown again as he was outjumped for the second goal. But, did offer a good threat going forward, and given Sako's tendency to drift inside, was quite often the sole outlet down the left.
Henry- 6. Bit of a strange game, quite often looked off the pace, yet goes home with a goal and an assist.
Price- 6. Neat in possession, struggled to really stamp himself into the game though, would probably benefit from playing with two other central players, rather than just one. From what I've seen, he's probably the most comfortable on the ball of all our central midfielders.
Edwards- 6. Nice ball through for Henry's equaliser, but at times seemed to be caught in two minds as to whether he should press or stand off, and that at times allowed Rotherham to move the ball in midfield easily.
Sako- 6. Once again was involved in most of our attacking play, but frustratingly, couldn't really influence the game. Sometimes I think he doesn't know when he's done enough, you'll see him do something great, a nice touch, a good run, and then undo that work with a sloppy pass, or a shot from a ridiculous position. He needs to do the right thing, and then carry on.
Doyle- 6. Still struggling to find some form, looked a little off the pace. Linked up well at times though.
Sigurdarson- 5. Looked lost at times. At times last season he looked to have genuine promise, but has fizzled out badly.
Subs:
Griffiths- 6. Came on and looked lively, chased down a couple of lost causes, should have scored though, had a great chance clean through, but mis-controlled it.
Davis- Not really on for very long, but put his foot in a couple of times.
Jacobs- Not on long enough for an impact.
a couple of early match ratings
Strange! Two people at the same game. One gives Edwards 4 and the other gives Edwards 6.
Probably shows why Edwards continues to be picked as KJ obviously rates him, whilst others don't.
Is Edwards the new Andy Keogh?
What did you lads think of Ben PrIngle then? Best player on the pitch by a country mile, made all three of our goals and gave us the midfield creativity that you were sadly lacking.
Penalty changed the game and let you back into it, and if your striker Griffiths could trap a bag of cement he would have been through on goal for the winner.
How did you rate Sig?
I heard that he was abysmal time and again during text commentary, but that might be down to personal agendas blinding people to his obvious talent.
If you think that shows any justification for picking him then i can't help you.
''Allowed Rotherham to move the ball through midfield to easily''.
Thats ok then, he is only our most experienced midfielder, why should we expect him to stamp his authority on a game?
And if only he was a quarter of the player Keogh was he would improve us, sadly he isn't and doesn't.
As for sig, just about everybody fully accepts he should move on and should not have started yesterday.
