That's great if you have managed to get over and watch games. I'm only in Scotland, but it's impossible for me. I rely on those that attend.
What I won't so is copy and paste other people's comments, and pretend that's my viewpoint, when I haven't managed to see a game for myself.
That's disingenuous, and can't possibly command any respect.
That is great, except no one actually copies and pastes other views and pretends they are their own
And thankfully a very very nice Wolves fan sends me the games to watch, for which i am very grateful.
As for commanding respect, copying and pasting a handful of posters comments and lining up umpteen, tediously unfunny comments is worthy of zero respect as well
The real kicker though is that you lost a customer whilst being disingenuous over the last several months........last laughs and all that
You don't like it when someone questions your attitude towards the Wolves, and posts supportive arguments, that may challenge your negative views.
Sorry. I'm not alone in that, as you will have seen from others that have challenged you. Very similar to when Wolfie had his rant against McCarthy in the Premier League, and invited hostility from those who supported the club. I think you made a mistake siding with Wolfie, but now you're in too deep, so have to continue the party line.
By negative, do you mean my support of a player who was getting ridiculous stick in August despite making a solid contribution at the time.
Maybe you mean my support of a manager i felt was wrongly sacked after to short a time.
Maybe you mean my reasoning that i had no issue retaining Saunders as he did only have 20 games.
Maybe you mean my support of our youth which is of vital importance(funny you talk about former players more).
Maybe you mean my solid support of Kenny, despite not agreeing with all his decisions i wouldn't swap him for anybody(funny to note you cannot say the same on that score either).
But lets be honest, you mean because i am a realist when it comes to why McCarthy lost his job.
As for supporting Wolfie, i disagree with plenty of what he says but i do not condone the pathetic singling out and bullying of him on 12 yards, i can remember his first post on the forum and posters were on to him in a second trying to dig out comments based on what had gone before, rather than growing up and just responding to his comments.
Either way, makes no difference to me, your entire aim on this site is to ruin it for a handful of others and cause rows with little digs continuously.
Thats up to you i guess
Shaqille McDonald trialing at Wolves allegedly.
Signed by Posh in August to 4 years but released?
Not sure on the credibility but not really relevant to this season anyway, more a future prospect i assume.
No, I wouldn't say "I wouldn't swap him for anybody", in regards to Kenny Jackett, but I'll support him while he's there.
A third division club is never going to attract the best proven managers that are available - I don't think anyone could doubt that.
DJ i do not think i am the only one to feel that the agenda's on this site have turned it pretty much into a farce, do you?
The truth cinci is that many people on this site see you, perton and wolfie as the people with the agenda. Find me one argument on here that hasn't involved one of you three
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xvlz-8atgfA
And likewise DJ, show me one argument that hasn't involved you or Bute
The one you had with tatter yesterday
The difference is that I have never denied I let myself get involved in these things, although nowhere near as often as you. But for you its everyone elses fault, its them having an agenda, its them having a go at you for no reason other then you being in USA etc etc. You feel the need to respond to every thread on this board and get involved in every argument possible. Its your choice, but don't pretend its everyones fault but yours and don't be so disingenuous as to jump in when anyone criticises the arguments and pretend its nothing to do with you
Its you that said the agendas on the site are making it a farce. You are the main contributor to that farce
Oh yeah, forgot to add tatter to the list, though you did step in also
DJ i have apologised in the past for my involvement a number of times.
Arguments are not agenda's DJ, agenda's are people regurgitating the same comments again and again such as ''higher level'' and Butes McCarthy rhetoric to get a rise out of posters and now the little mentions of youth versus experience which gets dropped in often by a few.
What is my agenda? I am not asking for Doyle to be dropped, I liked Mick and couldn't care less what level players that leave us go to and much as i like to see kids get game time i want us to sign additional players.
You share my views on probably the one thing i do go on too much about, Dave Edwards.
I see that during the last two months Doyle has scored the same amount of goals as Griffiths, but one is accepted by many as being prolific, and the other goal shy.......how strange?
Not strange at all, i don't think anyone questions who the better goalscorer is.
Hey DJ, regarding agenda's, and not trying to prolong an argument here.
You may or may not have noticed the arrival of a fake Rotherham fan on Saturday who just so happened to name himself Mick and one of his first questions was to point out he never understood the sacking of a certain ex manager of ours.
Fake he certainly was. Whenever I meet fans of other clubs its almost invariably their first point, why did we sack McCarthy. Most of the rest of the football world thinks it was the wrong thing to do as do most football pundits when Wolves are discussed on tv.
Whatever the views on that, the three appointments we made afterwards certainly meant that its difficult to argue we would not have been in a better position if he was still here. Top half of Championship at the very worst
Yep, and when i counter questions like that with
''what would happen at your club if the manager gained 15 points in 23 games''
I get a resounding, ''ah i see your point, no one to blame but himself'''.
Anyway, that wasn't my point, but i guess you needed to push your agenda regarding the last 3 managers
"Not strange at all, i don't think anyone questions who the better goalscorer is"
But they have the same amount of goals in the last 2 months?
Leigh also has 4 times as many over the season
Mick the Miller was a famous greyhound, Cinci.
A Miller is also a nickname for a Rotherham fan, so the handle that the poster used was appropriate, and not necessarily anything to do with McCarthy.
I like to think I'm a voice of reason and fairness. I will interject when I think a poster is being unreasonable.
Yes, I do mention ex players etc., being at a higher level, but the whole "next level" stuff was actually first, and frequently, brought up by your pal in Florida, as a criticism for anyone who couldn't take us there.
It's quite ironic that many who were criticised are now in squads playing at a higher level, and have "moved forward" from where we as a club now find ourselves as we struggle to beat, or even match, sides like Milton Keynes and Rotherham.
Hopefully we will get promotion, and compete at a higher level again, and test ourselves against Mick and other past contemporaries. Personally, I can't wait.
Ironic?? Is it?
I am taking a stab in the dark here, but i believe the criticism is related to the back to back relegations they gave us
I blame the relegations on the 3 managers, Connor (who was out of his depth as a manager in any case), Solbakken, and Saunders, as players respond to instructions on how they should play.
Let me stress that I like all 3 as individuals.
It really is no surprise to me that those that are in squads in higher divisions are there. Whoever the managers are, they will have identified qualities that encouraged them to take the players on.
More ironic would be that those players many considered champo players whilst we were in the prem are indeed only in the champo
Out of interest, how many of those ''at a higher level(zzzzzzz)'' actually did we receive transfer fees for?
Its a shame your handle relates to the past when a real fan would pay tribute to what we have now and the future.........guess that tells us all we need to know about you
I did try the "Be Careful What You Wish For" as a handle, harking back to Hodgson's prophetic warning, but that could have been construed at bitterness.
Instead, I think my current handle is simply an acknowledgment of the recent period when Wolves were once again at the highest level, and on a worldwide stage. It's a tribute to that period.
Obviously, I'm not going to use a handle like "The Solbakken Months", or "The Saunders Weeks". Even "The Hoddle Years" would have little meaning.
We don't have a statue to people like Bull, Turner, and McCarthy yet, so tributes such as this are appropriate, I think.
Happy Christmas.
