soldado isn't even a bad striker

Yes he is

Soldado 4 in 15, 1 in 15 without penalty

He's shíte

Soldado is a good player if used right, but so are the others.

Torres for me though

posted on 22/12/13

Or is he just being asked to play in a team and system and in a style he's not used to?

He looked bloody good for Valencia. Scored goals versus the likes of Barca and Madrid on a regular basis for them. As well as in the CL.

All on the same plane of crap.
Soldado just edges

He'd be excellent in a 2/3 man strikeforce.

Torres hands down

Shlttest player in the entire world

My carpet has scored more this season

Giroud is the most useless IMO

posted on 22/12/13

Giroud is quality. Dont even get why hes on the list to be honest.

posted on 22/12/13

Giroud is not quality at all IMO. Has he actually scored against a decent side yet? He runs a lot I will give you that. The other 2 have far more class IMO

posted on 22/12/13

Giroud has scored in 2 of his last 11 premier league apoearances. As a lone striker in a team battling for honours that is poor

posted on 22/12/13

Soldado - don't know need to see him post AVB for a bit.

Giroud average squad player.

Torres one of the greatest. Till he got injured. Now not even average.

No player has ever gone from as awesome as torres was to as useless as torres is now

Torres, he's so bad now.

Welbeck

posted on 22/12/13

3 goals in 3 games. If you think really far back, you nifhr remember giroud havibf a similar ratio briefly

posted on 22/12/13

Welbeck has more goals than all of Chelsea's strikers.

posted on 22/12/13

Actually he has the same amount of league goals as all three put together.

Giroud has been very good this season and wasn't bad last season either. He's knackered, he needs a rest.

Soldado has shown during his time in La Liga that he is a very good striker. He's lacking confidence in a team in a mess.

Why do people always have to claim a player to either be world class or a pile of $hit, there is a middle ground.

posted on 22/12/13

Torres is a pile of $hit, though.

I think when Torres was at Liverpool he knew that as soon as Gerrard got on the ball he would look to play him in, be it from deep, wide or a little through ball that he could run on to.

At Chelsea they play so much tippy tappy stuff that he gets frustrated i think, they work it wide, play it back into midfield, back into defence, back into midfield, he makes the run and the ball doesn't arrive, i think he just gets pis55ed off.

I know Torres struggled with injuries just before he went to Chelsea and it could be a knock on from that but he's not the first centre forward to impress at one club then struggle at Chelsea, Crespo, Kezman, Ba ,Eto'o have had a similar time of it. The likes of Kalou and Anelka did alright but nothing special.

I think really it's as much down to the way they play as it is Torres just losing it.

posted on 22/12/13

Explain why Torres is so bad for Spain then?

He's lost it.

Giroud isn't a bad player.

When you compare him to Aguero, Suarez and Rooney of course he looks bad, but those 3 are some of the best players in the world.

Torres and Soldado aren't that bad either, but it is insulting to mention Giroud in the same article.
