Don. It's depressing when you say that mate
2 league cups in 20 years. Too young to remember the FA Cup.

Yes thudd, the only reason I remember the Fa cup is through old videos my family have. I know spurs in premier league era only, 94 onwards klinsman etc

Oh yeah I remember the FA cup.
We used to win it
I know. League cup is a trophy
But I'd love to experience a big one. FA cup. European trophy,
We're falling behind, and just can't see a title challenge till new stadium is done
We used to have a leader in the team... One Scotty Parker... But you all wanted to get rid!!
Now he's gone... playing the football of his life at Fulham and leading from the front
Facking spurs fans

ginger.
parker was barely a leader at spurs… he was an ever present in the side that collapsed horribly twice in a row.
a proper leader wouldn't allow that rubbish to happen.
Parker in the form of his life?
Just scored his first goal for a year in a team that has been atrocious for the last year.... Unlike West Hams relegation season he hasn't stood out at all!

I idolise Scotty P
What a man
SAF
How many Fulham games did you see before Jol was sacked??
I saw a few and the only man playing like he even cared about the club was Scotty P. It might have been obvious Jol's time was almost up to everyone else but Parker was still giving his all
To be fair to Parker we did choke in 10/11 and that was before he even got there! It's like we have the lesser version of the arsenal choke DNA - they do it when chasing the title, we do it chasing 4th
Vertonghen fits the bill. We should have made him skipper when he arrived IMHO. Seems like the type of character who'd thrive on it.
Only a few GBM and he may have been an upgrade on the majority of the team but he hasn't stood out to the level he did at West Ham which is why I really don't think he's playing the football of his life ATM.

Morning Don
Agreed I have seen Spurs win half a dozen FA Cups and an assortment of other cups, and even the league, but they count for nothing in the present era, other than some very good memories. I just think the present squad is a good one, but as I said earlier, some of the senior players need outing, they are simply not good enough. A lot of the new players need to be playing regularly now. The way Lamela is being treated is pretty shabby, OK he has not exactly been pulling up any trees, but he is just not getting a run in the side, like other players, who have not performed any better in my opinion.
The club needs to move on quickly now from the Harry era, and stop feeling sorry for itself.
Someone is still alive that saw Tottenham win half a dozen FA Cups
