i doubt we are even in for him
I think this article is fair.
Not an improvement on anything we have.

I'm not Giroud's biggest fan. But he is comfortably superior to Berbatov.
How is Berbatov's technique overrated? He's a technically outstanding footballer without a shadow of doubt.

Let's not be silly. Don't forget Berba has scored goals to fire United to the league before! It's not even an attempt to dig at Giroud like most will assume but everyone who actually watches football knows Berba is better than Giroud in pretty much every aspect of CF play. Even Giroud's specialty for flicks Berba is better at that.
I agree probably not the answer but as a stop-gap, at £2m, a player who isn't cup-tied, and us better than what we have, I wouldn't complain.
And other than a higher workrate, Giroud has diddly squat on Berbatov. That doesn't make him "comfortably superior".
I think at utd he's stats were that he ran more in a game than Tevez. These players look lazy but they are actually moving about making space for themselves which goes un noticed.

Finally, I agree with you!
He'd work out here infact would be similar to when Kanu was around and I think he worked out fine when given the chance
"How is Berbatov's technique overrated? He's a technically outstanding footballer without a shadow of doubt."
He just has a good touch. That doesn't equals good technique. Obviously it's a part of it. But I think of a technically great player. I look at the method he uses when dribbling, passes, shoots and crosses.

Disagree. Right now, Giroud is comfortably superior. I don't even like the Frenchman either.
Berbatov just isn't very good.
"It's a myth that he's lazy, he has a languid style that makes him appear lazy"
It's FAR from a myth. Berbatov is a lazy facker. Players like Giroud and Chamakh are pretty languid and slow but they aren't lazy. Berbatov is a lazy caant.
"Let's not be silly. Don't forget Berba has scored goals to fire United to the league before!"
That was years ago. And even then he was the biggest tap in merchant I had ever seen.
I'm looking at the here and now. Berbatov is at his level at Fulham.
Berba technique is as good as anyone in the league
If we are not going to fork out the £30M on a striker than I don't see how buying berbatov will be a bad idea

Thought Berba would be your player Dubbed.
Good technique, skill and physique.
Its funny that people are calling Berba lazy......Mesut Ozil anyone?

A good touch/control is the single most important attribute of a technically proficient footballer. Berbatov's touch and improvisation is excellent. He lacks pace to dribble, but RVP doesn't burst past players either. As a pure technician of the game, Berbatov is facking sound. I'll just agree to disagree.
If Berba can just stay up top and finish off everything that comes his way then that's a big plus. Giroud gets in everyones way most the time, Berba is a poor mans Ibra Giroud is a poor mans Ade minus the speed and agility
If berbatov isn't the answer until the summer then who is? We aren't getting a top striker in january

Berbatov scored just about every kind of goal in that season. Some excellent volleys, backheels into the net and overhead kicks were even thrown in. Odd memory.

Putting the animosity to one side would you have Ade back at the emirates right now?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes.
Although I wouldn't due to what he did.
Minus the attitude, ade on form is as good as anyone in the league.
