Either way I think it will be City first, Chelsea second, then any three of Arsenal, Liverpool and United, I don't know at the moment.
Either way everyone is enjoying this season a lot bar us, which is saying a lot to be honest. Ok I'll say it, most are loving this season because so far United are absolutely not involved in the race for 1st place, the first since the top division became the PL!

"Arsenal fans belittling MUFC, oh dear, I guess a few of them think this turmoil will last forever"
-------------------------------
Tbh, as Arsenal fans we hope it does. But nobody knows how long it will last becoz it depends on so many factors. But right now things are looking particularly grim for Man U, and will definitely get worse if you miss out on CL.
---------
To be honest I don't know, I think the worst that can happen is that we finish 3rd and we think oh well it wasn't so bad after all and we settle for what we have got over the summer and don't make any changes, that I think is the worst that can happen for us.
If we finish say 5th narrowly, I can see the Glazers splashing the cash on a good number of signings, and we will be a lot stronger for it next season than if we finish 3rd.
what if you buy more fellaini's though, splashing the cash doesn't guarantee anything and will the greatest players want to play for moyes anyway?
Tbh still expecting top 4 and if not the manager will be given fairly sizable funds.
The imminent demise of United as a force is once again being touted (as it does most seasons)
Ill be honest ill tell people the same thing I always tell them, don't write United off... They never learn though...

Arsenal fans belittling MUFC, oh dear, I guess a few of them think this turmoil will last forever
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You'd think they had won a trophy or something...
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Trophy droughts always come to an end, utd fans of all people should know this after that long drought you had before the 90's.
unfortunetly, staying on top is something that doesn't last forever and in turn you will be on the receiving end of taunts from the clubs you've belittled the last 20 years under fergie.
Arsenal trophy jokes won't save your season
"I think the worst that can happen is that we finish 3rd......If we finish say 5th narrowly, I can see the Glazers splashing the cash on a good number of signings, and we will be a lot stronger for it next season than if we finish 3rd."
------------------------------------
Do you seriously expect to finish 3rd? As for splashing cash, the Glazers are desperate to rescue the fortunes of Tampa Bay Bucs and although Man U are the Glazers' cash cow, their crisis is not as serious as that of Bucs who are running massive losses on and off the field. Meanwhile, the Man U share price has nose-dived to less than $10 for the first time. Serious trouble ahead.
Ohh yes the share price...
Which tends to fluctuate throughout the season and doesn't affect United.
The only reason to worry about the share price is if the personal fortunes of the Glaziers are a big concern... Short of the glaziers going nearly bankrupt.

Yep, serious trouble until the owners provide us much money to spend
Ill be honest ill tell people the same thing I always tell them, don't write United off... They never learn though...
------
people also used to say your squad was nothing special and Utd fans thought they were just being bitter, now even you guys admit it was SAF who dragged you over the line. now he's gone and the fear factor and aura has gone with him, could be that your time has come to an end
Considering the size of the club it seems unlikely, get Rooney and RVP fit and firing and we will win most of our games.
Finish top 4 a good signing or two in the summer and straight back in the hunt next year...
the glazers don't fund united, the club runs itself through profits. your share price dropped hours after SAF announced his retirement. All your massive sposorships were based on you being the dominant team with the biggest fanbase, if you have a difficult few years all that can change
"Yep, serious trouble until the owners provide us much money to spend"
--------------------------------------------
Oh dear! The Glazers don't have money. Man U are the cash cow but are not the only club in the Glazers empire. Financially both Bucs and the Glazers depend heavily on Man U coffers, so you don't have a bottomless pit of cash.
Don't worry guys talk of United imenent demise are as per usual premature as is our being skint, the glaziers were willing to sanction some decent spending in the summer but now all of a sudden are skint and desperate for money??
Sorry, not buying it.
You guys keep saying the owners need to give you money to spend...
Did you not just pay over the odds for a fairly average No.10? And the only reason you did that was because you were incredibly naive offering 25M for a world class central midfielder, and royally scréwing up a deal for that Athletic Bilbao chap.
It seems the current people in charge have no idea what to do with the money, so it's no good getting your hopes up just because it's there.
never said you were skint, although that's more worrying that you have so much cash and a club of United's size still couldn't attract any top players
That wasn't an Arsenal fan who's bitter about going 8 years trophyless and hoping for a United demise by the way (that seems to be the default response when Mancs debate with Arsenal fans nowadays).
I'm just saying it as I see it.
I never predicted a United demise under SAF because I knew it wouldn't happen but it's possible now. you'll always be around the top but don't think you will be the team to beat anymore or feared in the same way.
I don't generally WUM aslong as I'm not being wummed, only comments such as midtable are met with trophy comments.
The guys in charge of our transfers Moyes and Woodward both started their job last transfer window (a bit late as well) can't see them making the same hash of it next summer transfer window...
It all got a bit late and scrappy, got the feeling Moyes wanted to give players in the team a fair chance as well.
Next year there will be plenty of time, he will now all about the squad and they will both be settled into their jobs. Think it would be a mistake to assume they will have the same problems again.
"get Rooney and RVP fit and firing and we will win most of our games."
----------------------------------
Players are not like machines which you just change tyres, fit a new battery and put them back on the road. You will be very lucky if RVP plays more than half of Man U's remaining matches this season, becoz right now he is back to the chalk-legged player we have known for many years.

Eh? In 2007 at the time we spent 50 million on Nani, Anderson and Tevez, 2009 we spent 30 million on Berbatov, 2010 on the useless ones in Valencia etc. and 2011. Last summer we spend 30 million on what appears to be a massive flop, all the while our commercial revenue increases while our debt decreases. We don't have money to spend?
Granted its not on City or Chelsea level, but we can spend a cool 50 million on up coming talent and a marquee signing if needs be.
"The guys in charge of our transfers Moyes and Woodward both started their job last transfer window (a bit late as well) can't see them making the same hash of it next summer transfer window..."
--------------------------------------
You put too much faith in buying players. It's not always the solution, and certainly Man U's problems run much deeper than that. Clueless Moyes is one of your biggest problems, the other is the Glazers' huge loss-making business empire being entirely financed from Man U coffers.

How does the business side of things have anything to do with the form of the players on the pitch?
The longer Moyes is in charge, the less credible he becomes as regards having the ability to bring a marquee signing in.
How on earth he saw Fellaini fitting into Utds style of play, god only knows
And in our case, signing good quality players really is the first thing we need to try out
