Barca attack is better than city's but City defence is slightly better than Barca's. It'll be a high scoring game I expect Barca to win.

We'll see at the end of the season.

At home, they are just superb. They play with freedom and confidence combined with incredible talent in the likes of Yaya, Silva, Aguero and Kompany.

Away, I still think they have something to prove.

I also think it's pretty crazy to suggest they are the best team ever at this point due to the fact that their currently 2nd in the league.

City will struggle at the Nou Campo a lot rides on their home leg

I think City will go through against Barca.

2-0 home win, and a 0-0 at the Nou Camp.

Didn't read the last bit. No way are city the best team pl team ever. The utd treble team all of Arsenal title winning teams, Chelsea's Mourinho in first spell and the utd team that won 3 back to back to titles with Ronaldo all superior.

I think I disagree with every single thing you've said here lol.
Obviously they have Messi but you can stifle him. I think Aguero was outstanding and Negredo looks to be just as good! City are finding form at just the right time, unfortunately.

It's not quite that simple.

You can't take out messi. You got to take out their midfield. Bayern over ran their midfield at Etihad so unless Pelligrini has special tactics I see the same thing happening. Plus Neymar Alexis Pedro and of course Messi are superior to Aguero Negredo Dzeko and Navas.

I wonder if any other teams have considered this cunning plan

to put it simple, we cannot stop them not now they've got this great squad and can just add players whenever they like.

We cannot compete with them, not with the glazers in control. No matter what people say about them being good owners they are NOT.

If we had the freedom to spend club revenue then yes we could compete with City to a certain level.

But not with Glazers as this squad needs at least 150 million spent on it, and they won't spend that no chance.

Money talks.

Money does talk, and we don't have much of it.

Not when we are paying 70 million a year just for the Glazers to be the owners.

City aren't all that, they have a strong spine and good depth but their defence minus Kompany is I would say worse than Chelsea and Arsenals this season.

He can't hurt you if he doesn't have the ball! It was also a relative statement, I didn't mean any old clown could stop him easily.
Barca are quality, don't get me wrong, perhaps not quite as a good as a couple of years back. City have improved and have a little bit more experience but are just so devastating up front, look what they did to Arsenal- the supposed best defence in the league!

I can't see them getting past Barca tbh, i think it'll be too much. Everyhing else, they can definetly win. And no, this isn't the best team ever, because they have lost too many silly away games already. How could the best ever team lose to Cardiff, and them other smaller teams.

Richards Kompany Zabaleta Lescott Kolarov Clichy Demichelis Nastasic Boyata. Not so bad.

Apart from Zabaleta, Kompany non would get into any other top 4 team.

Don't forget we lost Kos in that match, and scored 3 and could/should have scored at least 2 more. They're not as unbeatable as everyone makes out.

We did that to ourselves with terrible errors. People overrate their performance in that one.

I still feel City's midfield is rather vulnerable defensively. First choice seems to be two up top with Toure & Fernandinho in the middle and two of Nasri/Silva/Navas floating. Neither Yaya nor Fernandinho are natural holders in my opinion (not like when they had De Jong a couple of seasons back) and Toure especially can be quite lazy when it comes to defensive work, as good as he is going forward.

While their defence is individually pretty good, the lack of a settled centre half partnership is also a weakness, and I'm not wholly convinced by their left backs - Clichy as we well know always has a mistake in him, and Kolarov has improve defensive, but can still be targeted.

The problem for teams playing them is that it is very difficult to get on the front foot without leaving yourself vulnerable to the counter etc. I'm looking forward to their clash with Barca, should be interesting.
