They are hardly products of United though are they as they both clearly had way more talent than any other kid out there before joining United.
OP
I don't see how I can be right about the Homeless World Cup when I haven't mentioned the Homeless World Cup at all. What I said was that Bebe was not a homeless footballer. He was a professional footballer who had a salary and a home and who had been sometime previously, homeless. I also pointed out that your 'three months' came from nowhere. Bebe had NO top flight experience at the time we signed him.
Regarding Beckham, I have offered pieces of evidence that support the view he wasn't pushed out: the contract offered and spurned, the preparations to live in Madrid, the unusual haste with which personal terms were agreed with Real. Where is the counter evidence?
As for Essien, it was well know he was our number one target. We made offers for him. Fergie obviously wanted him. It wasn't Fergie's job to decide how much we could afford. His job was to tell Gill which players he wanted. There was a time when Anderson and Nani both looked as though they were going to be decent acquisitions. And the amount they cost (which seems to rise every time someone mentions it - at the time it was reported to be a figure "rising to" about £30 million for the two of them) would also have been subject to the money men's valuations and understood in the context of rising revenues and transfer inflation since the time we had missed out on Essien.
It's a sad state of affairs when a team ends up with some fans like the op.
As a Liverpool fan, I'm sure you can understand how much I would have loved to personally strangle SAF, but......
At least I'm willing to give him respect for what he achieved, sometimes grudgingly, but, nevertheless genuine respect.
Of course he made mistakes, that's what you learn from.
There's an old saying. "Good judgement comes from experience, unfortunately, experience often comes from poor judgement".
You give so little credence to the fact that you had such a good, no, international class group of youngsters comming through together, well, we had the spice boys and I can tell you which group were managed better.
Whether or not you get behind your current manager is entirely your business but I would advise that you will very quickly get derided by your fellow supporters when you come on here spouting complete drivell against the institution that was your previous manager.

They certainly had lots of talent. But is 'talent' the 'product' of an academy? Did City make Giggs talented?
As far as I understand, Giggs wasn't affiliated with City for long, nor Beckham with Spurs. They were both playing football for local boys' clubs, having trials in various places and naturally got hoovered up by their local professional club.
As far I understood, this subject arose because someone said Fergie just got lucky. My contention is that it is thanks to Fergie's emphasis on reinvigorating the youth team and stocking it with the best youngsters out there that both players were secured by United. When a manager goes round to meet the family and explain how he will nurture the kid's career - and then goes ahead and does exactly what he promised - you can't attribute that to luck.
It says a lot that a number of fans of our bitterest rivals are nonplussed by the attitude of the OP (echoed even more starkly by SLM).
You make some points but that does not take away from the overall silly article.
Smalling is a quality player as well

wow dude with no name. SAF never made a good signing did he? "He was gifted a bunch of heroes in scholes, gigs" Its SAF that made them who they are. He trusted them when pundits say 'you never win anything with kids' Its his guidance and motivation that made them what they are. " (I left out Ronaldo cause it was the players who forced that purchase)" is one of the dumbest things Ive ever heard. "Rio never fulfilled that tag" What more does rio has to do to fulfill his prize tag? there are so much crap in your posts I don't know where to begin. You claim to worship SAF but your posts suggest you don't have a clue about him.
finally
People will remember SAF for his last acquisition.
David Moyes
