25m? They can feck off, who do they think we are? Liverpool?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Let's not make the mistake we made with Modric
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Modric is a better player though.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What are their comparable PL stats?
Is guess without looking that they are similar with Cabaye in an inferior team.
I'd rather see the money going on someone
who is PL proven, like Cabaye. Seems more
sensible.
Like Fellaini?

Modrić is one of the best midfield maestro's in the world. I'd love him at United.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
A lot of our fans see Modric as overrated.
Not exactly Arab I would say they arent far off. He is worth max 15-17m.The only reason he is hyped so much is because of his set pieces.
Wayne and robin how dare you compare fellaini to cabaye, give me your address I'm going to burn your house down

Cabaye controls a game from deep.
I watched him closely against Arsenal. He was the best MF on the pitch.

So does Carrick. I d rather have a mobile midfielder like Sandro or Flamini instead of Cabaye. We dont need a orchestrator. we need a bully who has technical ability
A lot of our fans see Modric as overrated.

I think you and myself for a while now have been two of the biggest exponents of Modric on this site.
Wonderful player who's really starting to be appreciated at Madrid.
If we could get Cabaye for around £20 million, that'd be a really good deal.
I feel cheated TRS! I love Modric, top, top player. Thought he ran the game against Dortmund last season despite everyone banging on about Gundogan.
We should have bought Flamini on a loan or something in summer. I am a fan and he is exactly what we need in the middle. Good passing and awareness and isnt afraid to get dirty. Carricks time is up I am afraid unless we sign a Vidal or someone who does the work of 2 players

That's from PSG, I would imagine they'll ask more from an English club, especially us considering they'll see us a direct threat this season.
Gfn change their story so often it's not really any use listening to them. Trs I doubt we will, top 10 was aim at start of season and with this ambitionless club it'll be the same now

@Jamie_Lindsay: Sunday Times seem convinced Rafael will be 1 who's on his way out of #MUFC. Think it would be unwise but has to be worries about his fitness
Really not happy if this is true
I think I have read in the past that Moyes is not convinced by Rafael and not by Coentrao either. I think he is trying his best to be sure about getting exactly the right players in as lets face it Fellaini so far has been a big mistake, though it's early days and Pallister,Vidic, Evra to name a few all looked very average at the starts of their United careers.
It seems likely he wants to play 4-2-3-1 and in that system vitally important he gets two fullbacks that are excellent going forward and who can actually cross.
Interesting times.
