Drop Ozil For Liverpool Me Thinks

I fully understand your logic on this and I do actually agree.

I just don't think Wenger would have the balls to drop Ozil from the first 11.

If Wilshere is fit I wouldn't be against swapping him or rosicky for ozil

Rosicky keeps us ticking

Nah alot of our play goes through him. He isnt a flashy player but is really effective. Especially off the ball movemen.

P.s alot of the guys that slate Ozil for not running around and looking lazy are the same ones that wanted us to sign Berbatov...

I think Jack has to come in, though Ox eventually got into his own centrally we need a natural back in there! Wilshere & Rosicky in
Podolski & Ozil out

No one has slated ozil for being lazy. However, the game against pool will be played at a high tempo and rosicky is ideal for these games.

Interesting points

However you just have to start you best players in big matches. Besides Wenger doesn't have Jose's tactical knack of using certain players to do certain jobs in big matches.

I dont like jack in the AM role. Hes much deep usually but not next to arteta which looks to be our only option. I love the speed of our attack when Rosicky plays though

Are you saying Sterling is not a decent player? Have you watche dany of his performances in the past 6 weeks?

If we don't dominate possession Mesut will really disappoint he doesn't work enough where Rosicky does.

I know how effective Mesut is and still has a game winning pass in him but we need energy in this one and as long as Giroud starts I think the more Ozil is being wasted.

Unless Podolski gets a chance up top on the day I'd drop Ozil. You have to adapt to the game situation.

With Jose's new style of pressing I understand a lot more why Mata didn't fit in his plans (though selling to United can't be justified) Ozil is a similar issue in terms of workrate but that isn't our game anyway. Still don't understand

Yes I have with great interest and boy does he frustrate, the wind can knock him over no end product whatsoever. I see why you were all crying for a new winger too

I said this on another thread earlier. We almost always win the midfield battle against Liverpool. Their defence is tereible especially with the injuries they have.

The only worry is their strike force who are one of the best in world football but with the form our defence is in we can keep them quiete. Also Koscielny usually steps up his game when up against world class forwards. He loves playing against them

Rosicky drives with the ball as does jack and the speed of play is very sharp when these two play.

Ozil has a knack of dropping of.

Saying all this, we all know wenger will start with Ozil

Slightly off topic but has anyone figured out why Monreal seems to be ahead of Gibbs lately? I don't think Monreals been poor apart from a couple of games infact I lile him but Gibbs is still the better player

I wouldn't be unhappy to see our best player in the line-up on the weekend believe it or not however a bad performance from him especially could cost us badly on the day! If he's done nothing 60 mins in I'd like to see Wenger start to contemplate a change

I know Gibbs had that slight knock lately and I'd imagine Wenger doesn't mind playing him in the smaller games especially to protect Gibbs but I will ask serious questions if I see him start Vs Liverpool

No chance we should drop Mesi, imo.
Wilshere should start on the bench, Rosicky for Pods and Gibbs for Monreal.
Is Ox fit btw?

Ox is fit but CM in a game like this may be asking a lot for now. This is why I'd bring a natural in Jack straight back in he shouldn't be too rusty either.

I'd disagree due to his excellent performances over the past 6 weeks, he's developing all the time and the fact that we were lookign to sign another player is no bearing on Sterling's performances it's more due to the fact that he is just 19 nad we don't want him to burn out like so many before him have.

but if you think he's poor fair enough, I hope Wenger is naieve as you come Saturday and tells his players to ignore Sterling cause he's no use

We need Ozil for this game.
I can see Liverpool starting with 5 midfield and having Suarez as a lone striker.
If they do otherwise, they might not see much of the ball.

I think we have been a bit average recently so a win at Anfield would have City and Chelsea thinking a bit.

He is a very good young player, he's on the same level as about Serge Gnarby but due to LFC havng such a small squad they have to play him most weeks i think.

If Sterling was at Arsenal he'd be below Gnabry in the pecking order and would be tweeting bs with Frimmy
