Not that surprised to be honest. From his recent interviews he seemed really down and deflated. As they are only 2 points from the relegation zone, I guess the Swansea board want someone with a bit more fight.
He done well last season winning them a cup but they have had trouble combining the prem and the Europa league. They have missed michu badly.
I can't for one he loves 4-2-3-1 which we just haven't adapted to, and I think he's vastly overrated
A year ago I might have like the idea, this season he looks like someone who's tactics have been rumbled. OK he's been unlucky with key injuries, but he doesn't seem to have a plan B when he needs it
fack that.
van gala please
Stick with Sherwood, he's not done much wrong so far in my opinion
Most over rated manager in the PL for a long time
Van Gaal for me too...i just wish the World Cup final was next weekend

no thanks. don't need any football revolutionists. just need someone with some nouse.
Shocked. I think Swansea need to realise what kind of club they are. He won them the cup, finished higher than any other manger they had and now after a few injuries and a difficult transition to European football, he's sacked. I thought that club was really well run. I can only assume that he didn't want to stay beyond this season and told Huw Jenkins that. I can understand the hesitancy in getting new coaches in under a manager that probably won't be around but this does nothing but heavily unsettle the side.
Anyone else think this has something to do with the whole spat that's been going on. Flores, Osvaldo, Monk. They were all at it. It's a shame as I'm part Welsh and I'd have loved to have seen them push on but they're heading down on this evidence.
Scrap that. Forgot that Osvaldo is at Southampton. Had a brain fart. Ignore me.
5 wins. 2 draws 1 defeat vs City. More goals and more points than AVB in first 8
Like i say stick with the man in charge and a team performing till the seasons end
Harry out
AVB out
Sherwood out
Levy out
Yep, let's keep the revolving door spinning
thudd. clearly keep sherwood til end of season yes.
Just read a few Swansea fans views, they say they've been poor since the cup win and sliding towards relegation form, want someone with more fight
@WindyCOYS: Parallels with Laudrup/AVB - decent first seasons, disappointing second seasons coupled with feeling that they wouldn't hang around long.
Chronic
Think 4th is out of our reach, but I'd love to see what we're capable of with a full season without Europa
except avb was on about the same points per game tally as the previous season. what a terrible comparison by windy.

yeah but i bet we faaacking sneak into 5th on the last day of the season
van gal imo would be a nightmare, could start a argument in an empty room and is awful with the press which in England is a big negative as if they have it in for you its an uphill road. Would be very upset if van gal comes in

sounds like our very own chicken.
the only man on the internet who can start an argument with a glove.
Thudd the WC comment was a joke, he has to stay to the end of the season now...though if we have to watch another clueless managerial performance such as that one on Saturday I may just have to change my mind
it would be our facking luck if we did that.
6th isn't ideal but would be respectable considering that monumental fack ups this season
ok who in here honestly can see us beating everton this weekend?
i reckon 3-1 or 4-1 to everton.
with no dm, barkely and mirallas will run riot.
mirallas is in great form too… he will have a field day.
Unbelievable decision. The guy is pure class. At Swansea he won a cup and finished what 10th last year?
This season they have got through their Europa group, are still in the fa cup having won at Old Trafford and although struggling in the league highly unlikely to go down.
If Sherwood doesn't work out then Laudrup would be top of my list (along with Pochetinno). He's shown his class as Swansea, and someone like Van Gaal would be a disaster IMO, Juande Ramos waiting to happen.
