I don't think Reus will be too enamoured with playing Thursday nights in the Faroe Islands

---------------------------------------------
I'm sure he wont mind for a season. A chance to play for one of the biggest clubs of all time, I think that might pull his arm, not every day Manchester United come in for you.

Its not the amount of money you spend that matters but the quality of players acquired. We spent close to £90m in the Summer for just 4 players. Spurs spent more than £100m for a few more.
I hope your scouts are really working hard to get in some good bargain in the Summer.

Gk is fine.
Rb need a backup
need one CB and promote M.Keane
New Lb and keep Buttner as back up
Two CMs.
Intergrate Lingard, Zaha and Powell into the team. Already have enough AMs who can also play wide. Even if Hernandez leaves we got Henriquez and W.Keane.
So I see 5 signings.

I'm sure Fabregas , Thiago and Hazard all thought this.

Those players could have been signed if we stumped up the money. That has been the issue, we haven't been stumping up the cash. Now there is little choice but to do so.

Without CL football and Moyes at the helm the top tier players will be off the menu for a while.

We had CL football to offer when we bid for those players

Unless they are prepared to do a "City" in order to get the players in.
But that approach will face opposition from the "moral champions" of United who cling to the old ways of doing things. You know, the Class of 92 stuff.

Not sure, if we pay, we'll be able to get them. Sadly, it is about money. We jsut have to make sure we Don't pee it down like last summer on the wrong signing

posted on 7/2/14

By them, I don't mean those 3. But players around that calibre

Have people forgotten we signed a RB last season in Guillermo Varela?

I can't believe i am agreeing with the spam that is PPLF, i'd say 3 signings tops. In fact, i'd be content with two solid/spectacular midfielders and one defender alone.

With it not being a World Cup/Euros next year could work out fortunate for Utd as players won't be as desperatel to showcase what the can do in the CL

posted on 7/2/14

We did actually get in two RB last summer but they seem to have been signings for the reserves/future.
3 signings minimum but I think 5 are needed overall. Maybe a tall RB as Rafael,is short and for some reason Moyes likes tall RB against Stoke

VCD, a fundamentally critical thing you are overlooking which is fundamental to our success is the manager.

Do you honestly believe he is up to it? I do not believe it personally and before we start throwing stupid money around, we need to make sure we have the right person at the helm.

I do not believe we do

Young is in a good run of form, Januzaj can play from the wing, Kagawa can play to the side, as can Mata (especially if people are wanting to see that narrower formation that everyone keeps banging on about)
---------------------------------------------------------------

A couple of good goals and people have started thinking Young is in good form. No. I tend to look at the entire 90 minutes rather than goals highlights and Young has been awful.

The Glazers aren't football people and their accountants will tell them there isn't a great deal of difference between finishing 4th and 1st in financial terms. Fergie had the clout to make them dig deep for the players who could ein trophys (RvP), I doubt Moyes has that influence yet so it may be 4th place Cup at best for a while.

you lot do need a bit of work, but bringing in more than 3 players at a time could do more damage than good, look at THFC.

Bombshell here but I think we need to phase Carrick out. He's 33 this year and certainly we need a replacement at some point. As we've still not replaced Scholes we need to start looking at Carrick.

Bozza

We've spent 64 million on 2 players in 5 months

I think it's safe to assume the Glazers have no problem sanctioning big transfers

Hence we need 2 cms vcd.

LB is also another first choice needed. The rest could be made up by promoting reserve players. Even RB we have options if we look at the reserves instead if shoe horing players into other positions
