No, we were slating the squad because it wasn't to the standards of the top teams in the CL. You were hyping it up saying it was.

Now we are saying it's better than 7th facking place, and you are slating it saying nobody could do better with this team, which is a joke.

No, I said that no other manager would have us in the top 3.

exactly nobody is saying this squad should be winning the league or be up there with the best in europe, but its good enough for the top 4 easily

Macca

I rate Cleverley and think he'd make a good squad player if he wants to remain that kind of option.

But do you honestly think he'd be good enough if we lined up against Bayern tomorrow?
------------------------------------------
No I wouldnt, because he's gone backwards

Last season he looked brilliant, against Madrid remember?

I'm not a 'David Moyes is out of his depth' poster whatsoever. I find those kind of statements a little daft

But even I can accept that something is badly wrong at our club. I'm not suggesting it's the manager, but it's also wrong just to turn on all our players too

David Moyes said it himself when he arrived. All he could see in the dressing room were champions.

We have slipped too far back in 6 months to think that everthing is ok.

Possibly Jose would have us above Liverpool but who knows.

Macca, can't you accept the possibility that with so many big players who are influential to the squad leaving this summer that it's rubbing off on the other squad players?

Once the cancer has been removed that the younger players and the new player and the existing loyal to Moyes players can move forward?

That's what I think it is.

Yes I did. I remember that convo and it was said when we were 5th.

I said that no-one would have us at the top and that top 3 was probably out of the reach of anyone.

Maybe 4th would be a possibility under Jose.

No you didn't.

Rob, there's also a bit of a difference between international slating and telling him he should be going around invading other countries in Europe, or something like that, the comment got deleted.

You cry because VC insults you and won't unfilter you then are a massive caaant to people that disagree.

It's embarrassing, because you are actually alright, but you back yourself into a corner and then start acting like a twaaat and lashing out at people - primarily due to the fact other people don't rate the manager.

i think what annoys robb the most is that Moyes isnt as good as he expected him to be, thats what has really wound him up

I don't care if people don't rate the manager. But i'd hope people on here would be open minded enough to see ways he can improve.

It hurts my eyes to read some of the close minded stuff people like Hippo write on here.

Moyes may well be a disaster of a manager. But what IS a fact is that we do have certain cancerous elements in our squad right now and logically speaking SURELY our squad can only get better once they're replaced?

We have a weak link in Evra starting every game for us. Surely we can only get better with a left back who actually wants to play for us next season?

And that's just one situation that can be improved.

did you just called the players that were influential to our success over the last decade a "cancer"?

posted on 11/2/14

I think that's what has annoyed everyone, Mex.

Even SLM, Hippo and Stretty didn't expect him to be this crap.

===========================================

Pat wants to play for us this season, he's a proper club man, i dont fault his desire and determination, he is not as good as he once was, but its wrong to say he doesnt want to be at the club

No, i'm wound up because this forum exists in a world where people look to closely at certain things without accepting that time might be the only solution to this.

Maybe I should go away for 6 months because that's how long it might take for things to turn around.

I don't mean that as an 'i'm leaving' type thing.

But imagine you had faith in Moyes. And you wanted time to go by so he could start making big changes but every day you had to read stuff where people were 100% certain he was the wrong guy and slowly see the entire forum turn into one 'MOYES OUT' circus.

Well, if the shoe fits.

Keane was a cancer on our club towards the end and I imagine Rio to be one too.

=========================================

well thats how it is, you'll just have to deal with it, you aren't going to change opinions, i think its too early to say Moyes out, i;ll see if we can improve until the end of the season and actually start playing some decent football before i get to that bridge, i couldnt give a feck if people want moyes out or not
